“In the day of self-quarantine, social distancing, and shelter in place, I took a leap towards Wal-Mart grocery delivery service. And I am very well-pleased! I made two ordered because in the initial order I was not familiar with all that could be ordered and I struggled to get a date and time slot, but with consistent persistance, I prevailed! I like the communication through email and text letting you know when items will be substituted, out of stock as of delivery time, and the ability to add or subtract from your order until just before 2 AM the day of delivery. There is an hour range for drop off and you receive a text and or, in my situation a call from the manager letting you know that your groceries will be delivered shortly. At the Jimmy Carter Blvd location, Sabrina Wesley called to let me know the groceries were in route and to let her know how everything goes. I called back to let her know that all was wonderful except this was the second time in a week that the Atlantic Salmon was in stock when I ordered but out of stock for delivery. She explained how it all works but asked if I could wait a minute for her to check a recent delivery from a truck. Surely enough, it was some on the truck and she had it sent out to me immediately. This was such a win because I really wanted it for the weekend and she made it happen. Had she not extended that phone call requesting to learn more about my experience, I know that there would not haven been a resolution. She did what the well structured and efficient digital process could not, she added a professsional personal touch and experience.
