“Immediate peace and calm when you walk in the door! They had some items I had been looking for and a few I was interested in. Very helpful staff member that was available to assist and busy keeping the store running. I finally got my hand on selenite. Beautiful plants in the entrance as well.”

“This is an Atlanta metaphysical staple. This store has been a resource for all things “alternative” for decades.I love their wall of crystals. It has all kinds of stones and crystals in various sizes and prices.Their book selection is really good. You can loose track of time looking around. They have Tibetan singing bowls, tarot cards, meditation cards, wands, jewelry, etc.The staff if friendly and helpful. They have a couple of cats lying on chairs so if you’re not a cat person, there’s that.”

As I start my spiritual battles, the amount of bibles and other tools here is something I can rely on to seek the truth and Wanda was extremely helpful and friendly that it felt right at home and the presence here is something I can say emotionally and spiritually happy and amazed!!! “I am so happy with my experience at this bookstore. I came here after a visit to Emory’s Carlos museum just to browse and came out with 3 out of print history books that have been on my list to read for a long time. Everything was reasonably priced and the selection was top tier!! The store was also very well organized. All the staff members were incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome. I cannot wait to come back here, it’s worth a good drive! 11/10, would recommend!!!”
“Came across the COOLEST BOOKSTORE while exploring DT Chamblee with my wife the other day! The bookstore is truly very magical and whimsical.
It looks small from the outside, but Wild Aster is quite big on the inside. There are many shelves sorted by genres. There is a back area for children. There's also a smaller area for stationary items. There's even a really cool section where the books are all wrapped in brown craft paper (so you can't see the actual book), but a description and genre is written on the craft paper with marker. My wife got me one of these as a surprise for my birthday, and I also bought a book from one of the mystery/thriller shelves. The books are averagely priced.
We chatted with the owner, Grace, for a little as well. I believe she owns the bookstore with her husband. He was not there though. She was so friendly! She was letting us know about all the events Wild Aster throws (they throw a lot, so definitely check out their website/instagram to stay updated!), local recommendations around the area, and was giving us insight into how the store came to be and all that. She was truly a delight to talk to!

“I'd been driving past A Cappella for a few years now and had always meant to go in. Today was my first time visiting and I had an amazing experience! Both of the employees working were kind and helpful, with clear knowledge and passion for all things literature. “I've been to this location in Decatur many times. A lovely place to buy from, with a good selection and good prices, but - and this is a biggie, I woud never bring in books are items to sell to them. What the store offers you for your items is laughable. I feel so sorry for people at the sell counter who bring in boxes of items, only to be offered ten cents or a dollar, knowing that the store is going to turn right around and sell those same items at Ebay / collector prices. Always buy from them, never sell to them.”
“Love this bookstore! It seems like someone's front porch but the bookstore is cozy and has a great collection of books. They have all genres of books, stickers, Agnes Scott Merch, and Knick knacks. There is ample parking in the back of the store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They carry a superb collection of books on "Politics of Place", "Women and Race", and "Children's Books". It is a reader's heaven and a perfect place to buy a gift. The books are moderately priced. They have month-wide events for readings and discussions. I highly recommend bringing yourself here with a cup of coffee and kindling your thoughts with some amazing reads.”

“There was a time all Atlanta had was Barnes & Noble, A Cappella, and Atlanta Classic Books. With the death of B&N, we have been missing a bookstore with a great selection of books both for adult and children (and they even have some games). And now here it is! With a more intimate feel than VaHi Books. I’m an A Cappella regular, but loved this spot as I can shop for our whole family. And the booksellers are very knowledgeable and are clearly proud of the store. 100% will be back.”

“I thought this was a really cute and awesome bookstore. What drew me in was the Atlanta puzzles and the selection of books were right up my alley! They had some gorgeous Atlanta skyline art and I grabbed a cute magnet. Great spot for touristy gift or souvenirs and I also grabbed a book for the plane ride home. They had a section for "blind date with a book" which was cute and original.”
“Visited this store for the first time as apart of the Atlanta indie bookstore crawl! The owner is nice and knowledgeable about ALL the books and products in this carefully curated store. I love how it centers indie authors in particular--you will find great books and series on the shelves that I don't think you'll find in many other stores in the area! They also sell games, and I can see that this is also a great space for hosting educational opportunities for kids. Looking forward to coming back here in the future.”

“This place with such a vibe!!!! Truly a lovely third space to meet beautiful (outward and inward) and informed Black people. I find ppl congregate here on a common front for true equality and forward thinking consciousness/ change. I overheard and got invited to many beautiful conversations here and hung out here for quite some time!! The shop is placed in a historic part of Atlanta and it really ties in well with the surrounding areas. It’s honestly my favorite bookstore in the city that I had the pleasure of going to for my first time in Atlanta, and I’ll never forget the experience. I had the pleasure of also meeting the owner. She was the sweetest person I could ever meet, as well as her friends! They really welcomed me with open arms, so much free knowledge to partake on the center table, as well as rare books and media that are fair priced. I got a shirt and tote bag too!!”
“I have been shopping at the Cathedral bookstore for nearly as long as they have existed. I love this store! The staff is always kind, patient, helpful and peaceful. Their buyer is very thoughtful and purchases exquisite reasonably priced jewelry, candles, stuffed animals, books and other items that are not only appropriate for Christians, but for anyone who is looking for a lovely gift for themselves or others. In recent years they have expanded to include a wonderful Hispanic section of spiritual books and other paraphernalia that I have often seen in Mexico and thought at the time, "How lovely." I recently discovered that they are also serving as the books store of Christ the King and have a wonderful Catholic selection. If you want to go to a non-hectic, peaceful, beautiful, privately owned gift /book store (there are that many left...too many chain stores!) with its own distinctive personality and a gracious staff...this is the place! I have found that nothing is overpriced here and I'm so grateful that they are still around. I pray they never close!”

“This is THE place for Georgia Tech merch. Our son was recently accepted to Tech and we went here to celebrate by getting gear for our family. The selection here is extensive and while the prices aren't any great deal, they're on par with most other merchants. We had a positive experience with their service when we realized after getting our items home and noticing that we were double charged for an item and when my wife notified them, the associate, Hope credited back the overcharge.”
