“This was a great experience and wonderful shop but the main reason for the 4 stars was the lack of inventory. I would have really enjoyed to purchase essential oils or books but mainly had testers and limited books. I will definitely come back but hope to see more inventory.”
“I ordered a book about running on the phone. This Barnes & Noble only had one in stock. I asked the clerk to hold the book for one day. When I arrived at the customer service desk the next day, my book was waiting for me. The checkout process was clean and sweet. I received excellent customer service.”
“This was an exceptional book exchange. I was able to find some books that I hadn't seen since the 1970s. I picked up one that was one of my favorites from that period that was missing from my collection. We spent over an hour perusing titles from every genre.”

“Super cute inside and good lattes! Most books are either cookbooks or children’s books but the atmosphere is still adorable. I got a matcha with oat milk and my mom got a vanilla latte with oat milk. All were reasonably priced. You should definitely check it out!”
“I love Barnes and Noble. This to location is really big. It has Starbucks so you can buy a drink and then walk around to look at books, records, vinyls, CDs, stuffies, Legos, and more nerdy stuff. Love it.”
“Fantastic employeesm one gentlemanwas stocking merchandise, I asked if he could help me locate an item. He went to the backroom, found the item I was looking for. He also said let's look at another store.
Then tells me they got a shipment. He came out the backroom with 2 more items that went with the set. ( wicked funky pops). Another guy helped me locate the designer book sectionm

“I come to this store regularly, and today I was genuinely surprised. For the first time, I was truly impressed by the kindness of an employee.
Normally, especially at this Half Price Books location, the employees tend to be expressionless and interact with customers like robots, using memorized phrases without much warmth or personality. They are not rude, but they often seem disconnected and mechanical.
Today, however, there was a young employee named Kyle at the register, and I was genuinely impressed by his politeness, friendliness, and positive attitude.
Thank you, Kyle. I hope other employees will take inspiration from you and treat customers with the same level of enthusiasm and care, rather than acting as if they are being forced to be there. This 5 star only for Kyle not the others.”

“an awesome place for bookworms, music lovers, and nerds, which is why it's my favorite place to shop. they have an awesome selection of new and used books. i've found so many gems here. (although let me warn that the organizational system is sketchy at the best of times.)
the staff are always super cool and fun to chat with too.
the only downside is they give almost nothing for trading in books. i brought a whole box of like-new books, including a ton of popular titles, and only got about $15 in store credit for it. but y'know, i can just do my book reselling/trading elsewhere so nbd.”

“A literal hidden gem. It is a scavenger hunt to find this place buried in a warehouse on the lower floor but it is there! This is a bookworm’s paradise. They have free parking on the street but can be less abundant in the evenings.
I got a hot cup of the founders coffee. It gives you a smooth and very sustainable energy boost without a crash or jitters. They also offer tea and alternative milks to enjoy. It was kind of them to serve an array of pastries for us to enjoy with our beverages: danishes, croissants, pound cake.
They have various of books for sale plus a case of books for swapping. If you don’t have a book to swap from that collection then you can purchase one for $3. There’s a wide range from fantasy sci-fi to self-help books and everything in between.
They also have cozy nooks and couches for you to lounge around like you’re at home. We were delighted by the live entertainment. Unique delivered spoken word that touched my soul to its core. It was a chill yet inspiring vibe.”

“This place with such a vibe!!!! Truly a lovely third space to meet beautiful (outward and inward) and informed Black people. I find ppl congregate here on a common front for true equality and forward thinking consciousness/ change. I overheard and got invited to many beautiful conversations here and hung out here for quite some time!! The shop is placed in a historic part of Atlanta and it really ties in well with the surrounding areas. It’s honestly my favorite bookstore in the city that I had the pleasure of going to for my first time in Atlanta, and I’ll never forget the experience. I had the pleasure of also meeting the owner. She was the sweetest person I could ever meet, as well as her friends! They really welcomed me with open arms, so much free knowledge to partake on the center table, as well as rare books and media that are fair priced. I got a shirt and tote bag too!!”
“When in to purchase a bible and struck up a conversation with an older gentleman, I wish I had gotten his name so I can mention him. He was very kind and offended me to go to the chapel and pray. Best decision I made in a long time. Very quiet and I felt the presence of the Lord.”

“This is THE place for Georgia Tech merch. Our son was recently accepted to Tech and we went here to celebrate by getting gear for our family. The selection here is extensive and while the prices aren't any great deal, they're on par with most other merchants. We had a positive experience with their service when we realized after getting our items home and noticing that we were double charged for an item and when my wife notified them, the associate, Hope credited back the overcharge.”

“Went to an amazing event this weekend. Was the first time I've ever been inside the ACU campus. The parking was adjacent to the campus building we were headed to so no issues with parking. But even on the weekends it was $12! A lot! Also, the system did not read my ticket printed so I had to pay $24 to get out as they charge $24 for a lost ticket but the security help kept disconnecting the call so I had no choice. Staff - they had some CAU staff on site for the event but mostly event staff were present. Atmosphere - now the building itself definitely have HBCU vibes!! Loved everything about it! Nothing seemed dirty or too outdated. Everything worked in the bathrooms and the technology supplies were updated. I appreciated the school hosting the event and look forward to visiting for other events as well. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning. Thanks Brittney”

“I would love to give this store 5 stars but one of the workers was very rude to me. I was visiting the campus and really loved the atmosphere and so I decided I couldn’t leave without a souvenir. I bought a pink Spelman sweatshirt and while I was still in line with two other people in front of me, the cashier who was an older gentleman yelled at me and told me I couldn’t pay for the sweatshirt upstairs and to go downstairs.I’m sorry I wasn’t aware, but there is a nicer way to inform someone of the rule. Luckily I received better service downstairs from the nice ladies, but I was slick about to put that sweatshirt back on the rack.”
