“I stumbled upon this hidden gem by pure accident while out driving around Decatur. I was so ecstatic when I saw it that I googled it immediately as I was driving, found the number, and called the next day. I spoke with Layler (idk if that's spelled correctly, so forgive me) and she was very kind and patient with me as I asked a bunch of questions about the store and if they would be able be to assist me in learning to care for my plants as a new plant owner. Then, once I actually made it into the store. There young lady there greeted me and was patient with me as I had so many questions of how to care for my plants and even teaching me the name of one of them while she assisted me with new pots for them, adding new soil for the roots, and even giving one a little water love. She validated my parking, which is clutch, as long as it's under 90mins. Then I left and called back as I was driving and spoke with her Associate who was also very kind, helpful, and patient. Forgive me for forgetting their names but they were definitely awesome as well. I'll definitely be back to learn more, bring my daughter, and purchase more plants and pots. Very awesome employees and needed company. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a location inside the city of Atlanta instead of in Decatur. ? ? “Every summer, I start a new project and every summer I go to Home Depot or Lowe's. This Home Depot is an equal distance from my house as the closest Lowe's as well as another Home Depot. I tend to use this one because they don't change their layout and they usually have the most friendly staff.I did not give them five stars because they have two shortcomings.1.) If there's not someone right there on the aisle or on the aisle next you where you are at, it takes quite a while to get help if you need it. Asking someone to call on the radio is best (the overhead loud speaker is nearly pointless), but a lot of the time they don't get responses from the people they've called on the radios either. 2.) If the wood guy is missing, getting your cuts could take 30 minutes or more. Yikes! It happens more often than you'd think and sometimes he's right there, but he's helping another customer decide which wood to purchase... In my opinion, if you're already done selecting your wood and need a couple cuts, they should come on over. The other people can wait as they still don't even know what they need. Ok, so now the good stuff: I've NEVER not found someone that knew what they were talking about. You can be assured that anyone on the floor knows something about something at this Home Depot. The hardware aisle and plumbing aisles get the most traffic, so they usually have at least 1 person hanging out there at all times. The people at this store have literally NEVER had a bad attitude with me either. They are always in a good mood -or they are tired and indifferent- but never have they been rude or mean or anything in-between. They do customer service right at this store- at least, in my experience. I've seen some customers come in angry and set the mood real quick, but even with those customers, the employees did a great job of handling things without getting upset, themselves.This is my Home Depot.”
