“Overall, this store is fantastic for all your outdoor and sporting needs, and it's quickly become my go-to spot over competitors like Dick's.
First off, the shopping experience is great. The layout of the products is super good—it's easy to navigate, everything is clearly labeled, and the aisles are wide. The store also feels really well lit and open, which makes browsing pleasant, not cramped. I've always been impressed with their stock availability; unlike some other places where things are hit-or-miss, Academy usually has what I need on hand.
A huge bonus is the cheaper pricing. You just can't beat the value here compared to other major sporting goods stores. Plus, they offer drive-up pickup for online orders, which is incredibly convenient if you're in a rush and don't want to wander the store.
The only downside—and it's a noticeable one—is the difficulty in getting assistance. It feels like store personnel are hard to spot, and when you need help finding a specific size or accessing locked items, you have to really search for an employee. If they could staff the floors better, this would easily be a five-star experience.
Despite the staffing issue, the prices, availability, and convenience make this Academy a winner. Highly recommend stopping by!”

“I purchased an e-foil manufactured by Fliteboard from a private party. It was still under warranty and I had an issue with it right away. I called OneWake because they are a Flitebiard dealer. I spoke with Justin Luke and knew right away that I was in good hands.
Justin listened to my issue and told me to hang tight while he called the factory. He put me on hold and shortly thereafter we were able to troubleshoot the condition and determine that it needed to be brought in for service.
OneWake is almost 2 hours away from where I live but the whole experience, over an extended period of time, made me aware of the value of too-notch customer service and support. Justin is amazing. He worked with FliteBoard and advocated for me, helping facilitate a warranty replacement for the drivetrain.
Justin kept me informed and went WAY out of his way for me throughout the whole process. This is a guy who understands what true customer service looks like. He bent over backwards for me and I cannot express how thankful I am for all he did to help. I’m back on the water again and loving the Flitebiard.
Whoever hired Justin—great job, and you need to clone him. Give the guy a raise. He’s an incredible ambassador for the OneWake brand.”

“I had a great experience at Sports Connection in Buford! I stopped in at the last minute hoping to get a custom T-shirt made for my daughter for Jersey Day. The team was incredibly helpful, taking the time to walk me through design ideas and different options to make sure it turned out just right.
What impressed me most was that they never once made me feel like my request was an inconvenience because of the quick turnaround. They simply told me they would let me know when it was ready and that it would be completed by 4 PM. To my surprise, I received a text an hour later saying the shirt was finished!

“This company has been around for several years, it was originally housed in Reformation Brewery in canton. Now they hung thier own "shingle". In the back area along the shops in the Etowah Mills. They provide the equipment to enjoy the water effect on the Etowah river. Let me just state this, this trek endured was a 14 mile slow trickle. Granted it's a beautiful way to beat the heat wave we've been having these days but with two people it was a quiet paddle. We were excited about picking up speed at certain points. But it was a long day (5 1/2 hours of making it to the end. I would recommend going with a group of people who enjoy the outdoors and with some adult libations. Just glad we checked this off the list on the different rivers we've been on.”
