“I've reviewed them before I think, but came back to say they have really a great poke bar! They know how to offer all the kinds the locals like, and serve it up quickly at pau hana time. This little grocery store has so many things for sale you can always find what you need, from fresh meats and veggies to pet foods and more. HUGE selection of adult beverages too. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Loads of parking in this old cannery spot.”

“Having lived in Hawaii for 35 years I can easily say, this is my very favorite place to shop, it's a wonderful slice of Aloha. Mike, Paul, Noe and Amanda run a very warm and inviting, and just plane cute, place to shop.I always leave laughing and feeling good. I could name the other wonderful people there but it would be arduous, just know they are terrific. If you smile, they'll smile.”

“They have an excellent selection of Filipino foods you can't find elsewhere, which is my main reason for coming here. They also have a lot of fresh baked goodies too.”

“This was my husband and I second tour with Maui Gold. We went last year and loved it so much we decided to go again and take our family. We were surprised the ownership had changed, but that didn't make a difference. Our tour was fun, and our driver was very knowledgeable and funny. You are picked up in front of the Pineapple store in a small bus and then driven across the street where you will see all different sizes of pineapples.Getting out of the bus for pictures and trying the pineapples is always the best part. You also learn a lot about the history of the farm and the employees. At the end of the tour, the driver takes us to the building where all the pineapples are ready to be shipped out in boxes and where we also get our own pineapple in a box to take home that is TSA approved. If you want to take your pineapples home, I recommend doing the tour on your last days in Maui.We also took advantage of their monthly subscription box of Pineapples and love it!”

“This place is a naturalist dream! So many wonderful environmentally friendly products from juices and salads to espresso, breakfast sandwiches, crackers, wine, charcuterie etc. Also local products such as honey, hand made items, stickers etc. in addition to grabbing our coffee there the last two mornings we also picked up a couple cute stickers. One for my friend who loves roosters, it's a bamboo sticker! And one for my nephew Dillian. Whether you "need" anything or not this place is well worth popping in for a few.”

“Getting there was easy and locals said it was a great place to go...and it was! People helped find the things we needed. Loved that they had a small washing detergent (great for a week stay there) and reasonably priced! Also, get their hot noodle dishes! Whatever is under the heat lamps that they make in the kitchen is AMAZING! We got a pad thai of sorts and it was sooo good and such a large serving we used the left over in our breakfast eggs! They had quite the variety of stuff there to get, so even though Google can't say if it has everything you want, I'd go and check because well enough they will have it or tell you where to go and get it. Very helpful people. Mahalo Superette ?”

“They have many delicious vegan options in their hot bar, plus bulk bins and lots of grocery items important for vegan cooking (even 2-lb blocks of tofu!). We went there 4-5 times during our week-long stay on Maui.”

“I'm visiting from California and I'm used to getting great salsa. I spotted Tiffany's Salsa at Safeway and decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting much since the Islands have traditionally had mediocre Mexican food. Wow, was I wrong. This stuff is great. I'm going to stop on my way to the airport to grab some to take home. Tiffany, if you're reading these, you should put take home packs at the airport along side the pineapples and Maui onions.”

“Great health food store. We needed a supper after a long day and there was plenty of vegan/vegetarian options that the kids even liked. Liked the fake fish sandwich. Great smoothies too. Would definitely recommend.”

“If you live in upcountry this is one of the few grocery stores. They are pricey for sure but have great prepared food options, poke bar, musubi and bento, pizzas, fried chicken. The cashiers are full of aloha and you feel welcome. They get plenty shopping bag designs too so if you like to collect em all, this is a good spot. Parking is easily available.”

“This is a decent Safeway - maybe a level 2? I shopped around Target, Walmart, and Costco and I think this Safeway had a larger variety of local, made in Hawaii/Maui products. The chocolates are cheaper at Costco and Target though. I like that this location was easy to drive in and out of and that there is a gas station.”

“We drove 30 min from Wailea to buy fresh fish and were not disappointed. This place is a cross between a grocery store and a fish market. They have coolers of various local and imported fish. We bought the freshest and most delicious tuna I've ever had. The fisherman literally wheeled in the fresh catch as we were standing there. They provide ice to transport the fish back home. They don't clean the fish or filet it etc, but with a good knife and some YouTube videos later, we had no problem filleting our own tuna!”

“All that's left of the century old favorite local store. No longer owned by the Age Took family. New name is Kahului Shopping Center Supermarket. Of course, it will still be known as Ah Fool's for a long time to come.”

“Good discount on Safeway card on top of being one of the most affordable gas stations in Maui. Nice convenience store, plenty of variety, including hot food. Since it's a Safeway minimart, it's the same pricing as I side the store.”

“Terrible. Just did a doordash order and it was missing items. The doordasher was even asking if everything was correct and all and the employee there said everything is good. This is the second time it has happened and its always when people doordash it. It's good if you go in person but not doordashing it *smh*Edit:Went back to tell them about of the issue that happened yesterday and they were very nice about it. They took care of it and all and I just wanna apologize to my post. Thank you and again sorry for the post :)”

“This place has always been fair about pricing. Although, they do not carry a lot of organic items I look for, little by little they're starting to incorporate some.”

“Loved their salad and food bars as well as their coffee bar. Variety of items for everyone's taste. The store is well maintained and stocked. Always busy, but lines move quickly. On the pricier side, but what can you expect? It is Hawaii. This butter is the best.”
