“Totally recommend this lovely little store! Over spring break, our family stopped daily for drinks and snacks with our teens (sometimes more than twice!). We were staying in a house near Mama’s Beach, and it was convenient to have amazing food choices in the neighborhood! The employees were super friendly and gave us a delish free coffee one morning! We usually go to Costco when we arrive on Maui but this time, instead of buying too much food to finish in a week, we stopped in Kū,au and ordered a variety of their delicious sandwiches, salads, and sweet treats for breakfast and lunches instead, and then went out for dinner!! The freshly delivered bakery breads and other unique treats were amazing, not to mention the beer wine and spirits available too! We did go to Costco for steaks to grill one night, but honestly we were all happy with the convenience and options at Kū,au store and the nice people who worked there too! We will be returning next year for sure!”

“Cashier was super helpful and friendly. I can't remember her name, but she was awesome. Didn't know exactly where everything was because it has been a long time since I went, so just asked her and she let me know with a friendly, positive and professional manner.”
“Love this little market in Wailuku. ??
They carry raw meats, ready made individual items like side dishes and desserts, bentos, and snacks. And an aisle of dry grocery/pantry items.
Prices are very reasonable. You can make a meal for around $11. The $6.99 mini bentos are awesome for light meals or small eaters. That plus a side dish or two would be enough for a full meal. Their poke/poki is delicious. No long lines, unlike some other stores. Some of their food items qualify for SNAP. My guess is their dry grocery caters to visitors in all the nearby hostels. They’re better stocked than a convenience store and they’re not common goods for Japanese grocery. Give this place a try.”
“When we got there around lunchtime, the line in the back for fresh poke looked long. We weren't hungry yet, but that definitely would have been our go-to (also the salt and vinegar chicken wings in the deli section). We saw some cute bags and they had a great selection of leis. The cashier was friendly.”
“Chili rice when I don't have energy to cook is a life saver... Also their coffee is really good and strong not like most places with weak coffee that doesn't taste like coffee. They know what's up ?”
“Went there Saturday and Sunday @930a. Love the Local feeling of this place & the food is great. If you know Bento boxes back in my day, this is the place to get it.”
“I had such a wonderful experience at Kumu Farms. The produce is top quality, especially the papayas and herbs. You can really taste the freshness. Friendly people, beautiful setting—definitely worth a visit!”

“I LOVE LOVE LOVE the PukSup!!!! What a find and it has some of the best hot food around and there's lots to choose from! Produce, Maui meats, groceries, booze and local treats! Omg my new favorite upcountry find!!!
MAHALO”
“Good place to get your basic groceries and Specialty Asian items. Great selection of wine spirits and cigars. But they are grossly on demand and understaffed so there may be a wait if you need to access the area that this place liquor and tobacco. That's my only deal with this place. If you want some assistance with purchasing liquor and or cigars you will probably need to wait anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes before someone frees up to help you.”
“I was told this location had the best Foodland poke and it was actually my best poke experience on Maui and Oahu. There was a long queue when I arrived but it moved quickly. I was overwhelmed with the choices but the young man who served me was very patient and knowledgeable and even talked me into a 3rd flavour (oyster). I tried 3 scoops (love that you can buy in smaller amounts for variety): Ahi Hawai’ian style, spicy Ahi Hawai’ian style , and Oyster sauce. I wish I’d ordered the Limu (I thought that’s what I ordered as “Hawai’ian style” but I was rushing - overly conscious of the people behind me waiting). Ordered a scoop of hot rice in the side plus some nori/gim and took them all up to Haleakala to watch the sunset. It was early evening so I was nervous about freshness based on some other experiences elsewhere but all 3 pokes tasted very fresh with clean and addictive flavours and perfect textures. Highlight meal of this trip.”
“The tour is so much fun and informative. The tour guide was awesome. The staff is super friendly. If you come to Maui this tour should be on your list of things to do.”

“Great crew very accommodating. I wish I could say the same for the store in Kihei. Terrible management in that store FYI always running out of things, nobody cares, sassy answers. I told the girl I spend over $50,000 a year and I needed an answer on a product. It’s been No stock for over a month. She told me that it doesn’t matter what I spend that she doesn’t really have to help me if she doesn’t wanna. This is the girl with the courtesy desk in Kihei Friday at 4 PM. After waiting 15 minutes for her to come out as there’s no bow to ring she had the sassy attitude. I had my own business with 40,000 SKUs and guess what I had a minimum report that came out every day so we always had inventory and if we didn’t we’d fill in off of another vendor. That key has Store is always out of everything. They shouldn’t have done it all, but they should’ve closed it down but the one in Kahului that I go to the pharmacy is fantastic.”
“Good selection of frozen and packaged items. Also a good selection of fresh produce. The lady helping us was the absolute sweetest human being ever. Good place to check out if you're looking for Filipino groceries and/or asian groceries in general.”
“My favorite lechon place. This store has all the unique things I want to find in Safeway but cannot. It’s a little store but has a cafeteria style food area with so many good Filipino dishes.”
“I'm visiting from California and I'm used to getting great salsa. I spotted Tiffany's Salsa at Safeway and decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting much since the Islands have traditionally had mediocre Mexican food. Wow, was I wrong. This stuff is great. I'm going to stop on my way to the airport to grab some to take home. Tiffany, if you're reading these, you should put take home packs at the airport along side the pineapples and Maui onions.”
“Great place to buy some local food and whole fish in Maui if you know how to prepare!!
Some fish are sashimi glade!! (All the pictures are prepared ourselves)
Our favourite is their Aji and blue crab!!
It was so delicious 🤤 All the staff were so friendly and very nice 😊 people at the shop!!
We will be there few more times during our trip for sure!!
We got some Maui local lemon 🍋 ginger and green onions from times supper market & some shop on the way. It was amazing too!!”
“Great neighborhood convenience store! Always clean, well stocked, and the staff is friendly and quick. Easy in and out. They have everything I need without having to run to a big grocery store.”
“I am not a huge fan of Safeway stores, but they are usually in convenient locations and offer a lot of selection, maybe too much selection. I do frequent the sushi options, the bakery, and sometimes vegetables if they are local. You really have to shop around for bargains, as I find prices here are higher than other outlets. But when they have premium ice cream on sale, stock up!”
“Stopped by for cold drinks after going to the Maui swap meet. Peach juice! It was a perfect, convenient stop-off. Auntie working here is super kind and complemented us on our mini-cooler from daiso. Healthy food! Kimchi's and banchan here are so authentic and fresh made delicious! So glad we found this amazing little gem of a market, imports and freshly prepared Korean staples! Good ambience. Fresh veggies!! Would love to go back and try more!”

“This unassuming Asian market is located on Lower Main St. in Wailuku and carries mainly Filipino offerings, but other Asian and local products as well. There's some interesting finds here if you take the time to look around and they have more variety than some of the other little Asian markets around town. My favorites are of course, the snacks. From chips to chocolates - many of their products remind me of my childhood vacations in the Philippines. They also have a hot food line that feature your typical Filipino dishes like pork n peas, dinakdakan, adobo, chicharon, empanada, lumpia, and more. You can get them in plate lunch style form or containers to serve as entrees. What I really come here for though is the Mais Con Yelo -- the only place I know on island that offers this delectable cool treat. Mais Con Yelo is a layered, Filipino dessert that consists of sweet corn, shaved ice, evaporated milk, leche flan, and a scoop of CORN & CHEESE ice cream. I love corn and cheese ice cream and the whole combo of ice and evaporated milk are SO good! It's similar to a halo halo, but with corn. For whatever reason, the last time I got it, the aunty made it so so good that I can't stop thinking about it and will probably go get more tomorrow. Hahah. Speaking of ice cream, they also have the Magnolia boba ice creams here in various flavors and I really, really like that ice cream. I've only seen it around a few stores here so if you like that, you can find it here too.Check them out sometime!”
“The price here is the lowest publicly accessible price for gas on the island. It usually is exactly the same price as Costco. Lions move faster and you can use a variety of credit cards other than just Visa”

Over all tons of different kinds of everything from snacks, deli department and household goods. Great store.”
“Best prices for clean and local food, amazing hot bar, soups, grab and go juices, sandwiches and wraps. A real community resource. Shop local! Oh and you can get gluten free tiramisu.”
