“My husband and I had to get my mother-in-law’s car inspected and approved for registration. We ran into a snag when my “mil’s” insurance card didn’t pop up with the appropriate information, so my husband and I (using 2 smart phones and a limited amount of tech savvy) had to do a conference call with his mom, the insurance agent and us. Needless to say it was much more time consuming and complicated than expected. Keith and his staff were great. Since my “mil” had been their client for a long time, they were very patient and helpful while the whole insurance complication was figured out, and went right to work once everything was sorted out. The whole process took a lot longer than expected, but they were really great about making it feel like it wasn’t a big deal on their end of things.

“Cheapest gas station near Hilo Airport. This is a gas station operated by a supermarket chain called Safeway. If you plan to return your rental car at Hilo Airport, we recommend stopping here to get your last tank of gas. As expected from a gas station restaurant, you can always see a line of cars waiting to fill up. This is self-fueling, and you insert the card you wish to pay with first and then remove the card. After that, you can select whether to receive a receipt, select the octane level, and start refueling. The automatic refueling lever on the handle of the gas pump may be broken, so it may be inconvenient to have to keep holding it.”

“I don’t know how I didn’t know about HFN sooner, gas had become reasonably priced again, anyone looking for significant savings at the pump must check them out!”
“Good place to gas up your rental before heading to the airport. It's just a turn away from airport road. They have an air pump for tires and the gas pumps seem to work properly. Receipts are offered without having to go into the convenience store to pick them up.”
“I come here to buy the chicken and the wedges. When it's fresh, it's gooood! I love the fried chicken skins as well. The older Japanese lady at the counter is very friendly and polite. I'd recommend this place if you want fresh fried chicken. It's better than KFC?????”
“Gas is always a little cheaper and there is almost never a line. No convenience store means no waiting in line to pay cash for gas. That's the way I like it! Hele on! ???”

“Low price. The nozzle works well and the receipt comes out of the gas pump. At 76, which is about 5 minutes away, it was difficult to refuel because the nozzle was old, but the price here is cheaper and better.”
“This is my favorite stop for picking up my morning coffee. Love the 25 oz size at a reasonable price. And when I'm in the mood for a guilty pleasure, I'll pick up a piece or two of fried chicken.”

“It's a gas station, what more can I say? It offers hot food options, has a microwave for customer use and fountain drinks. The only reason I went frequently was for the ice chips. They had the hospital ice that I love.”

“I've always encountered friendly workers when I've gone here to put gas. I've once had trouble finding my rewards card and a worker informed that there there is an app I can download to access my rewards that I acquired. Which I didn't know about, so I was pleased that I was able to still use my rewards towards my gas purchase that day.”

“IF U NEED SAFETY INSPECTION I TOTALLY RECOMMEND CAL’s 5 Stars = A+++ Service Inspection Station #58 for Safety Inspection! 5 Stars for No Appointment Yeah I picked up my vehicle from Pasha Hawaii shipped from Oakland and Cal’s was the only place No Appointment! Appreciate that! I did and got my Safety Inspection (Weight Inspection - I got at Jas Glover LTD) and off to the DMV for my Hawaii license plates. I already had my car insurance and current registration.”

“The perfect place to fuel up before you return your rental vehicle to the airport .If you're paying by cash go to cashier and leave your cash then fuel up and go back and get your change.”

This place beats out Lex brodies car wash 1000x as far as cost and actually cleaning the car. The brushes actually scrub my sedan. Prices as of Jan 2025 are 14,16, & 18. Far better than the other guys. Still not perfect, but best in Hilo bar none for auto wash.”

“Great place to get gas. They have regular and ethanol-free (non-ethanol, for your yard tools, etc.). Full service, they pump the gas for you, no need to get out of car. They service and repair your vehicle too. Best place in town”
