“The only place to save money on gas. We saved .50 per gallon by filling up here. Costco gas station is reserved for Costco members only. You must insert your Costco card before having access to the gas.”

“I haven't been here yet. I just moved here but all of these 1 star reviews need be dismissed. This is a neighborhood market in a very remote town and part of the world. It is a blessing for the community and we should all be grateful, always.”

“We stopped here before returning our rental car at the airport. We got some fresh sandwiches for the flight home as they're very reasonably priced, tasted great and cheaper and better than airport food. The cashier was very nice and gave us condiments, plastic knife and napkins for our sandwiches.”

“I’ve never left a review for a gas station before, but this place absolutely deserves one.

I stopped at this Texaco multiple times over a two-week stretch, and every single visit was the same — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful staff. It never felt rushed or impersonal. The ladies working here are some of the friendliest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

The manager, Emily, even took the time to help me figure out the coffee machine. It was such a small thing, but it spoke volumes about the kind of service they provide.

Consistently great experience. If you’re anywhere near Kona, this is an easy stop to recommend.”

“You can use your FoodLand/Sack n Save Maika'i card to get 5¢ off per gallon. That's so helpful right now with gas prices so high.We enjoy their Ice machine, keeps us cool with different flavors. They also have a smoothie machine that blends your pick right there. They also have different ready to go snacks from sandwiches, Musubi, fresh fruit bowls, salad bowls, etc. Huge assortment of drinks and snack.Wonderful customer service!”

“Kuakini Shell is a locally-owned business that appreciates your support. The gas pumps and mini-mart are new and clean. On a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't too busy, and I was in and out in no time. Gas prices are competitive. The store is small, but it is jam-packed with everything you need. The dude who cashed me out was extremely chill, and I definitely had a five-star experience! Mahalo! 🤙”

“We rented a car from a private service and had to wash and vacuum the car before returning it. The touchless car wash was more than sufficient since we rented a sedan and didn’t do anything off-road. Price for the car wash was reasonable. You can expect to pay anywhere between $12-16 pretax depending on the level of wash you want either inside the gas station or at the drive up kiosk before entering the actual wash. They do have an option for brush washing but I’ve always had bad experiences with those. There are 2 stations for vacuum, air, and water. Vacuum is a little weak on picking up sand and in crevasses but it’s what you’d expect from a DIY car wash. Paper towels dispensers are on the gas pumps which are right across from the vacuum stations. It can get a little tight since you’re sharing space with the pumps. It can be busy in that area and there’s no real place to line up so you gotta make it work.Overall, it accomplished what we needed.”

“Not a ton of pumps, and I didn't go inside so I can't say what that looks like. The price of gas is about average for the city currently. I did notice they have a vacuum available for cars (just one) but can't say if it's free or not. So why four stars you may ask? The reason is location, location, location my friend. Situated just up the road from the Kona Coast Resort, if you're bougie enough to be staying there or working nearby it provides an opportunity to get gas unmolested from the working class types in the city below. Located far enough off of a main highway or city street it is almost never busy which is rare at a gas station on the islands, so you won't have somebody crawling up your tailpipe to get at your pump. It's also situated on top of a hill, with gorgeous views of the ocean to contemplate while taking a moment to relax pumping gas before joining the unwashed masses below.”

“Great car wash! Tip the guys well, and you'll be astounded at how perfectly clean your car comes out. The fact that you don't need quarters for the vacuums is a very nice touch”

“The Aloha Spirit lives! (Even for mainlanders lol).

We limped in to Mr. Dixon‘s 76 service station with a flat tire and a gentleman greeted me at the Air fill station. I asked if I could use his jack to put on the spare tire and he said don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of you. I backed into one of his service bays and 10 minutes later, the spare was on. Turns out this was Mr. Dixon himself! How do you say “lucky” in Hawaiian because that’s how I feel today…. except of course for the flat tire course.

Mahalo Mr. Dixon!”

“The car vacuum did not work very well, not strong enough to pick up sand and it cut off quickly. Otherwise it's got the lowest gas prices in the area, cash is cheaper by 10 cents.”

“⛽️? Ohana Fuels Kailua-Kona – Clean, Convenient & Well-Lit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ohana Fuels in Kailua-Kona is an excellent gas station—clean, well-maintained, and well-lit, making it a safe and convenient stop any time of day. ?? It’s also super close to Kona Airport, which makes it a perfect place to fuel up before or after a flight! ✈️⛽️

The pumps are easy to use, and the station is always stocked and organized. The only minor issue we ran into was trying to use Apple Pay at the pump—we couldn’t quite figure it out. ?? But aside from that, everything else was smooth and hassle-free!

For anyone looking for a reliable, clean, and convenient gas station near Kona Airport, Ohana Fuels is a fantastic choice! Highly recommend! ?⛽️✨”
