I asked Bella for a price on what I wanted. I was so surprised that the her price, that told to order it and ship it to me Tucson, AZ. I received it in two weeks and my son and I was really happy with the product and time. Mahalo Bella and Gold Mart.”

“Incredible experience!!!I recently proposed to my girlfriend and needed the engagement ring re-sized. We initially went to The Wedding Ring Shop, and although they offer a luxurious setting/experience, they declined to re-size my fiancés ring. I'll spare you the details but as you can imagine my girl and I started to panic.But then Alysn from Pacific Diamond Wedding Rings swooped in to save the day! We called them immediately after TWRS couldn't help us and Alysn answered. She was so sweet and professional on the phone so we decided to just pop in. She courteously greeted us and walked us through the whole process. Thankfully PDWR are professionals when it comes to jewelry modification and resizing and Alysn said they could resize our ring no problem! Turn around was quick and I'm positive I was charged much less than what TWRS would have charged me!I don't have a picture of the ring after being resized, but if you look at the attached photo, you can see the bottom of the ring. “I walked into the Shinola Detroit store on vacation to purchase a Detroit "D" chain for my best friend. Quy ordered it for me, and planned to ship it to my house in Georgia as they did not have it in store. He was extremely helpful, answered my many questions, and made sure my shipping information was correct before I left. After speaking to my friend, who'd agreed on getting the silver chain, we worked out her getting the 14K gold chain instead. So, I returned to the store alone, and Quy refunded my card for the silver chain, and made the change to the gold chain. During this transaction, I inquired about the journals they have at the store, and Quy let me know that monogramming was complimentary . I purchased a black linen journal to commemorate my first trip to Hawaii (the rose gold monogram on the front and back of the journal was a perfect touch!). The next day, I received tracking information on the chain, and it was scheduled to arrive to the Waikiki store the day I was leaving for home.40 minutes before my shuttle to the airport, I received confirmation that the chain had arrived at the store. I walked over from my hotel, and Quy brought it out to me, and thanked me for saving him the trip to the post office. Quy was so helpful, thoughtful, and transparent about this entire process. He was courteous, made sure I was satisfied with my purchases, and remembered me when I came back. This was one of my best experiences during my Hawaii vacation, and I'm so glad I walked into his store!Great customer service. Great products. Awesome attitude. Go to the Waikiki store if you can-- you won't regret it!”

“Excellent service and very friendly. My partner needed a chain fixed since it had been loose and broken for about a month. We were looking for a place to get it fixed and I had passed by this place almost daily due to traveling to the Fort Street Mall area often. We arrived early, around 9:10AM and saw the hours that the shop opened at 9:30AM. We waited patiently in front of the store since we had time to kill and were in no rush. Immediately on the dot the window shutters opened and he flipped his sign from Closed to Open. That was great! Right on time. Immediately the shop owner welcomed us and we told him that we needed a chain fixed and showed him that the clasp was broken. He was happy to help and the price he charged was reasonable. We also got the chain cleaned and a cleaner. He was happy to answer all our questions and my partner was questioning if the chain was real due to some particles and he happily explained that to him and how it occurs. The shop owner James is very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. He kept the conversation going as he fixed the clasp and waited for the chain to be cleaned. He provided excellent customer service. He was prompt and I liked that his shop opened right on time and we didn't have to wait a second longer. His shop has been in the same location for just a little 30 years. I would recommend this store if you are in the area and need a piece of jewelry or watch repaired.”

“Great customer service! Wide selection of Koa Wood jewelry and various items! Reasonable pricing! I was considering a gift for my daughter and she had requested something constructed of Koa Wood, and someone in another jewelry store recommended Martin & MacArthur. Upon entering the store, without a doubt I was in the right place! I was greeted by an attentive, friendly gentleman by the name of David, and he offered to assist me, but allowed me to peruse the shop to get some ideas of what I would purchase. During my browsing, he struck-up a conversation and we discussed where I was from, and where he originally lived before moving to Hawaii; his major reason for making the move was the blue skies and warm weather (smile). The shop contained many items that appealed to me, and David even convinced one of the female patrons to wear one of the items so I could get an idea of how it would look on daughter. It was perfect, and I immediately purchase the item which was reasonably priced, attractive, and wrapped in a pillow box. “HW is not for everyone for sure. It is not as well known as luxury brands like Tiffany's and Rolex, but it is a brand for those seeking an off-the-beaten-paths. Some items do call out for attention (for example, Opus watches) but others are subdued. A reviewer complained of a sales associate who wasn't fluent in English, and that wasn't the case for me (I do think many associates at luxury shops have to tailor towards foreign visitors with sudden wealth). Cathy N was very helpful and patient and made me feel at ease. This store on Waikiki is very spacious with separate quarters for rings, watches, and jewelry. My experience with HW always has been very positive, and Waikiki HW is no exception.”

“Zi Liang (goes by Z) is incredible. My fiancé and I were in Hawaii for vacation and we casually stopped by to see some wedding bands. Zi Liang is a master at his craft. He has a warm demeanor and is very knowledge about the products they offer. I enjoyed our conversation as he was not pushy and respectful throughout the conversation. All in all, he spent about an hour with us and didn’t not know we were actually going to make the purchase. We did buy the bands from him and it was overall a enjoyable process.”

Unfortunately, after about 1 month of ownership - the watch stopped keeping time. Keep in mind, I have treated this watch with great care so I wasn't even thinking there was a mechanical issue. I thought the battery was bad. I took it into a watch repair shop to have the battery repaired. I watched with my own eyes as they took at the battery and said "the battery is fine." I thought - oh no. They then reset the time using the dials on the side of the watch and the watch started keeping time again. As I left the watch repair person said they if I kept having this issue it probably means the watch is defective and I should send it in.Guess what - I kept having the issue. After one year of having to constantly reset the watch (the watch stopped keeping time 6 times) I sent the watch in for repair. Please note that Martin & MacArthur don't make these watches. They are made by a company called Tense Watches in Canada. At my own expense I shipped the watch to Canada and just received an email from Tense saying that the watch is not covered under warranty. What? Why? They said the watch was "improperly repaired," which is why it doesn't work. I about fell out of my chair. It was improperly MADE! It stopped working before I ever took it in to have it looked it.I never have had an experience like this before so I want to warn you, reader, the watches may look nice but be very careful in purchasing them. If something is wrong with the watch (and its not your fault), Tense will look for a reason to not honor the warranty.”
