“What a pleasant experience at PCAW (Pearl City Auto Works). I had 2 electrical problems with my vehicle which required a partial disassembly of the dash. PCAW correctly identified the cause of the electrical problem and corrected the problem and reassembled the dash to its original condition using great care as my vehicle was a 2000 Ranger and the clips etc. required extra care to prevent breaking. A special thank you goes to Shay for her assistance in scheduling my appointments and keeping me informed as to the arrival of parts needed and the status of the repairs to my truck. I will definitely be a return customer.”
“I truly appreciate the aloha and efficiency at Dansen's. I booked my safety check appt with Shiloh several days in advance; she was so helpful and friendly. When I arrived for my appt, another lovely lady helped me (so sorry I didn't get her name). I waited in the waiting room for just 10 minutes...say what?! I've had appts elsewhere for safety checks that I've waited several hours for them to even start to look at my car, even though I had an appt. “Normally I expect there to be a long line and for an oil change to take much longer. I think it was slow because I went in on a busy holiday shopping weekend when most people probably aren’t getting oil changes as much. I think it took under 15 minutes for them to finish my oil change. It was like a pit crew came out during a race! They offered great customer service and a very quick turnaround time for completing my oil change. I give them an A+”
“Midas Pearl City location is our place to go to. From day 1, helping us with replacing my broken headlight by some random kid that broke it. “Barely any wait time. Very pleasant, professional, satisfactory service. The price was a little high, I thought. Yet, that's what everybody charges for a full synthetic oil, so it must be the norm. I had a military discount, let alone I a coupon that I didn't use. So, I'm set and very satisfied. No complaints. The workers are very professional, polite, and pleasant, and that's what counts.”
“Very happy to have found GEARS. I have a manual Jeep Wrangler, and was having issues with the clutch. John is very detailed oriented, very knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. These are qualities hard to find. John was able to quickly reschedule when I wasn't able to make the first appointment. John took the time to understand the issue even before doing the actual diagnostics. Explained everything in detail and was very clear on possible issues and costs. John quickly found the issue and luckily the fix wasn't the most expensive. Will definitely bring my Jeep to GEARS again.”

“We’re well aware of the mixed reviews, but our family’s direct experience with this shop deserves to be recognized. From start to finish, the mechanic and manager handled our situation with real professionalism and integrity.
Our daughter’s Honda Civic had a splash shield that came undone after hitting some rough roads. They diagnosed and resolved the issue with care, and since the car had to stay overnight (May 8–9), they communicated clearly and honestly throughout the process.
