“Ive been with this company since 2016. Customer service is always great, super friendly. Most of the staff know me by name. The wait is less than USPS. Paying for a private box allowed a lot more shipping options than USPS ( many companies wont deliver to a PO box). You can sign up for email notifications when packages come in ( which is always prompt). Highly recommended!!”

“Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Kea'au Post Office for being there for our family and community during this difficult time. Even with the immense extra strain the staff are under, with us all ordering so much more online during COVID time, the staff remain courteous, warm and efficient as ever. These folks are working extra hours early in the morning and staying way past closing time each working day to make sure that EVERYONE in that non-stop line is served. I don't know where we would be without their extraordinary dedication.”

“We've been receiving our mail at this location for 6 years. We are so grateful for the hardworking employees who have continually "delivered" more than just the mail. We experience outstanding service from these girls every time we visit.”

“Just the best, nicest people! Had a box at the volcano P.O., simply no comparison. Everybody works well and efficiently here, they call you by name, they aim to help, so rare anywhere these days. Even if they are really busy it's a peaceful, harmonious experience.”

“This is a beautiful historic building that's still a functioning post office. It's iconic, it's been in many television shows and movies so it might strike you as familiar when you visit. I do recommend a visit, it's also the Federal Building. It was designed by architect Henry Whitfield (Dale Carnegie's brother in law) in 1915 near the very beginning of U.S. postal service on the islands. Maybe the USPS is one positive in an ocean of colonial oppression. It was one of the first reinforced concrete buildings on this island (local architecture used less permanent materials)/ The grounds are lovely using lava rock for walls and local plants for decoration. The tall palms were planted by the American Legion after WWI to honor Hawai'ian citizens who perished in that war. I got stamps here to put on postcards, but I'll bet hardly anyone reading this knows what that means.”

“Edit 3: I have seen gradual improvements at the post office in Pahoa. More staff, 1pm on time pick ups, proper end destination tracking updates. Hopefully we can see drastic improvements for a new location or expanded parking and box availability. I think this would alleviate pressure on workers and boost community support for our postal system. Could you imagine our only options as UPS/Fedex? A letter 2 day from the mainland to Hawaii is $85.00!”
