“We actually met a local artist that told us about this store. We went there specifically to buy a beautiful handmade piece from them. We also got great drinks and snacks. We got their last few in house made Musubi and they were delicious! Would highly recommend if you want some unique art and some delicious treats!”
“For a small store, they sure have a lot of items! You can probably find anything you need here. They also have a nice lunch counter and are famous for their home made chili. And everyone is super friendly too!
Their chili is truly legendary in these parts. What's cool is the little park across the street that has a picnic table in a little pavilion. There is also a clean bathroom. It's an awesome spot to enjoy your chili!”

“If you've been to one 7-11, basically you've seen them all. They are all set up the same way with the same products. This, of course, is by design. The only difference I've experienced is with the employees. Different personalities and level of service. I've always gotten excellent service, never had any problems, and they always thank me for my business”

“I’ve grown up with Meadow Gold milk. Despite the sale (and imminent closure) of the dairy’s properties on Sheridan Street in Honolulu, I hope it will continue to be sold in Hawaii. I still remember there was an ice cream production plant in the corner of Beretania and Keeaumoku, now the site of a medical office building.”
“I love the CVS pharmacists at Hilo Target. They are not only accurate, informed, and polite, but they also will go out of their way to help the customer in any way they can.
Despite being very busy, they’ve never seemed too rushed to answer any questions or concerns that I may have.
I’m old and need a lot of medicine. Despite a Long’s closer to my home I’ll always choose this pharmacy.”

“Part of the tourist experience if you hail from the Midwest is visiting a local 7-11. For those of you who are local, 7-11s in the American Midwest ( between the East and West Coast, the Great Plains, the Great Lakes, big post-industrial cities and disappearing farmland) where 7-11s are place of horrendous coffee, insulting service, dirty public restrooms, and botulism. But 7-11s in Hawai'i have fresh coffee, friendly service, and awesome local taste snack foods. Some of the best Spam Musubi is found in Hawai'ian 7-Elevens. It's like they are not even the same corporation. Still open all the time. Instead of the "I'll help who's next in line," and "have a nice rest of your day," the woman working here actually talked to me like I'm a human being albeit in local Pidgin (which made it seem even friendlier). Mahalo!”

“I stop here before going to work, due to the convenient location. Some of their items don't have price tags or they are worn out & hard to read. I find it inconvenient, but it's important to know since it does add up.
Their breakfast bentos look freshly made in the morning and they do make a wide variety. However, I don't know how long it's left out on the counter without refrigeration. So if I decide to purchase a breakfast bento, I go there early.
There's usually one friendly cashier that engages with customers by greeting and thanking them. It would be nice if other cashiers were friendly and welcoming as well. I also think its great the cashiers still wear masks for precaution.”
“It was just a stop to buy a newspaper, but seemed to be very clean and the cashier was very nice. A couple people were getting gas and the cashier was very friendly and outgoing. It was a quick stop, but a very nice one.”
“Mahalo Nui Loa Renee the nicest lady worker who always offers to make Taquitos for me whenever she working! There’s been times we go and there’s other workers and times we have asked or gone there to get them and there was non and the worker said they couldn’t make until after four a.m. I’m just so thankful anytime I get my craving met!”

“We love Kagimoto's! This place has the best musubi's in town! The cheapest (biggest sized) bags of ice! Great daily lunches & snacks at the counter. The staff are super friendly & have the best customer service ever. We love coming here! I'd say we stop here at least 1X a week. One thing I love about this little store is that every time you walk in, they greet you by your name! How's that for excellent customer service. Definitely recommended!”

“Nice in and out with fuel. They emwrre closely located to the airport which is where I returned the rental car. The convenient location drew me in because I was assured the rental car would still be full with fuel when I returned it. While I found it convenient, I then found it a great place to stop and get a drink and a few snacks. The selection was complete. Their coffee was hot and the snack selection was complete. I had a few snacks for my flight ✈️”

“I've been to high end restaurants but I promise you, THIS is the best place to get some cooked chicken. come early in the morning to beat the construction workers. The baked chicken with butter is the best of the 3 (fried/BBQ) but they are all good”

“The cashier had excellent customer service. I had questions and she was able to answer them. I needed help and she was able to provide help. There were things on the shelf that I needed and she took the time to get them from the back. She was kind she was respectful And she serves at her workplace with joy. I would describe her as an excellent and important asset to the company.”
“They had a lot of food in the front of the store, perfect for a lunch or dinner. If you've ever been to Japan, the 7-Eleven is very similar. The only negatives were there were several homeless outside. The cashiers seem like they were angry and not happy to be there.”
