“We enjoyed our time at the tiptop. It was small, clean, efficient. It was really nice to have the room open where you could walk in instead of having to go check in.”

“My husband and I visited here for 10 days and everyone was wonderful! Especially the Sushi Bar! We love Chris and Kailin at Sushi and Sake! We ate there quite a bit because it is so yummmy and entertaining! I’m also celiac and it was 100% safe! The resort was fabulous! We loved our stay so much!Food & drinks: Sushi and Sake! Celiac friendly! Wonderful staff!”

“Rooms seem dated but the service was inpecable. Views of the mounts were amazing and the local roosters keep you on a clock. Has a very relaxing swimming area along with plenty of yard games in the back courtyard.”

“Cash only, prepay. Tax included. Reservations by phone only and written in a notebook. Old school. Rarely available. No wifi, no phone. I say all this so no one is surprised. It was clean, cool, quiet and the shower worked. No soap or shampoo. Restaurants across the street. For me it was great, for the others? Well .... It wasn't a resort.”

“very nice large rooms, great views, and good staff. No bar or food of any sort within 15 minute walking distanceFood & drinks: nothing you can walk to, need to drive and park”

“The rooms and furniture were older but the location and staff were friendly. While the main hotel and resort had bars and restaurant, they didn't all have good food options so I'd recommend ppl to stay here and if you want to eat out to drive further up the highway for plenty of options. The villas themselves are ok and nice for their age. It serves a purpose but be aware there is no lifts to the second or third floor. So anyone with disability or trouble with flights of stairs should book for ground floor. The pool and spa was great and private, the grounds were kept clean and immaculate by the grounds staff.Beach access is easy but the beaches are not monitored and have hard waves and not recommended for swimming. Villa passes allow access to hotel pools as well.”

“I highly recommend this hotel… it’s located near the airport, like 15 minutes drive, you can take both bus shuttle goes directly there from the airport ( in case if you’re arriving late evening) or rent a car…. very good hotel service, also I liked ocean view , a lot of activity to do nearby…”

“Great location from the airport. I stayed here over night so i could take an aerial view tour of the island. Cute little hotel. Just around the corner from a couple of good mom and pops shops to eat at. Very friendly and accommodating.”

“At first I was worried how far it seemed from everything. But then I realized you could drive anywhere in 30 minutes lol.The waterslide is broke but the two hot tubes and the three pools are beautifully landscaped, the bar seems well stocked, there is also place to wash laundry and bell service. The breakfast is amazing compared to the surrounding local fair. The longer we stay here the more we know it's the right choice. We stopped by the Hyatt and it was a zoo. It felt like water park energy with 9 bajillion people. I'm trying to escape that feeling!!Here it's fancy, but intimate.I know other reviewers talk about bugs but folks... It's an island lol. If you want a sterile environment Kauai is not for you. Also there is a hospital in town for emergencies. This was a welcoming, friendly place. Even when I lost nearly 5 sets of keys.Rooms: We had a sea facing king on the 5th floor and had a trundle bed for our teenager. We had more than enough spaceNearby activities: Lihue has a farmers market and it is central to everything fun! Make sure to hit up Walmart for cheap suppliesSafety: This is a very safe place.Noteworthy details: It has free wifi. Beds could be more comfortable though.”
