“Here’s my honest take on The Good Feet Store.

The positives: The customer service is genuinely great. The staff are attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, and they’ll take you through multiple options (insoles, socks, and sometimes shoes) to figure out what feels best for your feet.

One thing to be aware of: Pricing usually doesn’t come up until after you’ve tried a good portion of their products. That’s not necessarily “bad,” but it can catch you off guard—especially because the total can be significant. In my case, the recommended setup was three different pairs of insoles—typically positioned as strengthening, maintenance, and relaxation—depending on whether you’re at home, working out, or on your feet all day. That bundle can run around $1,500+ as a one-time purchase.

Why I don’t think it’s automatically “crazy,” though: If you compare it to buying lower-cost alternatives repeatedly, the numbers can add up fast—especially if you want multiple insoles in rotation across different shoes so you’re not constantly swapping them.

For example, Dr. Scholl’s custom-fit insoles (the kind where you step on the machine at a pharmacy) are about $56.99 each.

If you buy three pairs, that’s $170.97.

If you replace those every 6 months, that’s about $341.94 per year for those three pairs.

If you’re replacing them more frequently, or you want dedicated sets for multiple shoes (so you’re not moving them around), the annual cost can climb quickly.

Warranty/value considerations: Good Feet offers a 90-day period to make adjustments if needed, and after that they advertise a lifetime warranty, which is a meaningful perk. Insoles don’t stay in peak condition forever—they compress and flatten over time—so being able to replace them can be a real benefit. It also helps that they have stores across the U.S., and they can ship replacements if you’re overseas.

Bottom line: You’ll find reviews all over the map—some people swear by them, and others feel like it didn’t work and call it a scam. I think it comes down to whether it fits your feet and your situation. For me, Dr. Scholl’s wasn’t a good fit and only gave short-term relief. Good Feet felt more tailored and longer-lasting, but it’s still a personal decision—and one you should make after trying them and weighing the cost against your needs.”

EXPERIENCE:
This store is located in the Waikele Premium Outlets in a medium-sized spot in the mall's west end. Parking is horrendous. The shop was neat and organized, with shoe samples on display and the inventory stacked on shelves right behind the display. It's mainly a self-serve kind of operation but an abundant amount of staff buzz around offering assistance.

Vans has a nice selection of men's shoes in a variety of colors and patterns, but the only thing that irks me is their label that's glued onto the back of the soles that aren't even flat but protrude up on one side due to a bump in the design. I picked up a low top in ash gray with accents of black plaid and cement gray soles. And on top of that, everything in the store was BOGO half-off. Every single item! We saved bookoo bucks! And for the record, don't think their products are defective or irregular because it's an outlet store; there's nothing wrong with them.

The workers were all very friendly and helpful; so unlike what I'm accustomed to on Maui where you get no acknowledgment or assistance. The female cashier who assisted us was terrific too and very patient as she walked us over to where the shoe laces were and assisted us instead of just pointing them out.

OVERALL:
We found such great deals here and at other stores in Waikele, so they're definitely on our must-do list when visiting Oahu. My shoe size wasn't available in some styles which is the only reason this review isn't a 5-star.”

When my mom and I entered the store, there was one worker working that was helping another customer at the register but the worker still greeted us when we walked in. That was nice, because it was our first time in this store ever so we felt welcomed. When the worker was done cashing out the customer. She told us her name was Leilani and asked if we had any questions. My mom wanted to try out some shoes, so Leilani brought the shoes from the back for my mom to try. Since my mom was in some pain, my mom was apologizing for how slow she was putting the shoes on. Leilani said "no worries, take your time." That made me feel good because I didn't feel like we were being rushed. My mom ended up wanting a black shoe that wasn't available at this location. Leilani checked the system and saw it was available at another location. So I paid for the shoes and we were told that it will be ready for pick up the next day. My mom was very happy and excited because the shoes were so comfortable. She is on her feet a-lot for work, so I know she was looking forward to go back to work with comfortable supportive shoes. Come the next day, they left a voicemail saying that the delivery person forgot my moms shoe order at the other store location and that the shoes will be ready for pick up on Monday instead. That upset me because we were told it was would ready for pick up the next day, it was already paid for and because the delivery person forgot my moms order she would have to wait 5 days (Shoes were purchased on Wednesday. Was told it would be delivered next day Thursday, but now Monday!!) My mom told the person on the phone she can't wait till Monday because she goes back to work tomorrow. The person on the phone said she will call my mom back and let her know the status. My mom called back around 1pm and was told it will be ready for pick up tomorrow, not today. My mom explained to that person again that she is going back to work tomorrow. So the person said she will figure out a solution and give my mom a call back. The person calls my mom back and says that Leilani will drive to that location to pick up the shoes before her work shift. Leilani thank you soooo much!! You had to go out of your way to get the shoes yourself, before your work shift, just because the delivery person forgot to grab it themselves. My mom and I are very grateful for your help and going the extra mile to get her shoes to her.”
