“We love Kagimoto's! This place has the best musubi's in town! The cheapest (biggest sized) bags of ice! Great daily lunches & snacks at the counter. The staff are super friendly & have the best customer service ever. We love coming here! I'd say we stop here at least 1X a week. One thing I love about this little store is that every time you walk in, they greet you by your name! How's that for excellent customer service. Definitely recommended!”

“This was a reasonably nice location. I was pleasantly surprised that they had my Itoen green tea which was the main reason we made the stop. Oh, that and beef jerky. And they had a pretty good selection of the jerky as well; with the normal convenience store marked up prices. The line to pay was modestly long but quick. And the cashier had good customer service. Also, they had a restroom inside, which was a pleasant surprise as it's usually hit or miss at convenience stores.”
“This is one of my favorite stores.....nice and quiet but the ladies are awesome and sweet very kind with a shy nature.....with fresh coffee in the morning.....don't Forget To buy yourself a fresh musubi for breakfast it is one of my favorites...”
“The 7-11 here did look better than the ones on mainland. And the food turned out much better too. We tried their chicken-rice dish and the curry chicken bun. Great, cheap food available at all hours.”

“So glad this Texaco was open 24/7 and available on a late Monday night. I went to two other gas stations in Hilo and was quite surprised to find both closed before 10pm. This one was a lifesaver, fulfilling essential gas filling needs for a long drive back to Kailua-Kona.”

“The sale prices are normally very good & make the shopping trip worthwhile especially using the coupons generated @ checkout which a choice of a printed or virtual receipt are given, one can save a significant amount. The checkout process can be lengthy due to problems w/coupons or sale items not showing up when scanned. If the registers have one or two check out lanes & the store suddenly gets busy, the wait can be significant. Usually after the line builds an associate will come to the rescue. Otherwise, avoid non-sale items as they can be expensive .
Use coupons & Extra-bucks (money-credit subtracted from the total shopping bill given to loyal club shoppers that can offset the cost of non-sale items)”

“For a small store, they sure have a lot of items! You can probably find anything you need here. They also have a nice lunch counter and are famous for their home made chili. And everyone is super friendly too!
Their chili is truly legendary in these parts. What's cool is the little park across the street that has a picnic table in a little pavilion. There is also a clean bathroom. It's an awesome spot to enjoy your chili!”
