“I cannot thank Rent-A Center enough for coming to my rescue! After being away from home for a few days, I come home to a refrigerator that wouldn't stop beeping and displaying a power outage error code. I spent a LONG time trying to troubleshoot the problem myself as it was already later in the evening and too late to call any professionals. Nothing worked! I was very concerned because my fridge and freezer weren't as cold as they should be. The next morning, I chatted online with a Whirlpool representative who was of no help. The representative just asked me if I did all the things that I had tried the night before. Basically, they said there was nothing they could do for me and I would need to contact someone locally. I remember my parents having their fridge break in the past, so I asked them what they did while waiting for a new fridge. They said they rented a fridge. I didn't even know that was a thing! They recommended me to Rent-A-Center. I called them as soon as they opened. Initially, they said they could put me on standby the next day and if that didn't work out, then they could put me on the list for the following week. I couldn't wait that long! I guess the employee could hear the desperation in my voice and went to speak to their manager. Somehow they were able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule for the day. After looking through their inventory, the employee was able to find me a 14 cubic feet fridge. You agree to a month long rental, which came out to $108.28 plus taxes and because I would need drop off/pick up it was another $150. She took all my contact information, including my social security number which I thought was odd, but she said it was to see if I qualify. The paperwork was emailed to me so I could DocuSign it. She also mentioned that I would need to call one week prior to the expiration of the month's rental to confirm pick up or ask for an extension. Then I was all set! By about 4:30 that afternoon, the refrigerator rental was dropped off to my unit! Just needed to plug it in for about two hours and I was able to transfer (and save!) most of what was in my fridge/freezer. Bless your hearts Rent-A-Center Waipahu! I needed Simpson strong ties to join 2x4’s and he showed me several different options. He was very knowledgeable and patient. I had gone to the “other” hardware store in Waikele first but that ended up being a waste of time. I’m so thankful that he was the one who answered my call and offered to help me when I arrived at the store.”

“I had ordered a bunch of items online with Home Depot, Store 1702 in Pearl City, HI. I got the emails and text messages telling me that my order was ready for pickup. When I first arrived in parked in the "Curbside Pickup" area, I was approached and asked for my order number and ID. When they found out that I had a lot of items to pickup and some of these items were very large, they asked me to pull up to the PRO area and see one of their employees in that section. I was approached by an employee, Denny Whitworth. He was very polite and asked if I needed help. I explained to him that I was there to pick up an order. He explained to me that the concrete that I was picking up was very heavy and didn't think my Toyota truck would be able to carry the entire order in one trip. He hand-carried the 80# bags of concrete and loaded them one at a time onto my truck bed. We took about 15 bags on the first trip and the truck struggled with that. When I returned the same day, he hand-carried another 19 (80# bags) into my truck. Each time I came back, he was there with a smile and helped me each time with the greatest customer service. He works hard and quick. He's very attentive and goes the extra mile by really helping out the customers. He's a great employee and you guys should see about making him a manager. He's a hard worker, very polite and you can tell he's smiling under his mask (COVID-19). Awesome guy and I'll be sure to tell him "howzit" each time I come to this store. Great work etiquette...”

“Bought a stack washer dryer from Home Depot Got it delivered on Feb 14. Delivery man said not enough power so hired an electrician. Electrician said the washer hose not set up properly so called Home Depot again to come out and check. Delivery man. said to call Whirlpool because drain hose broken. Then for days and weeks and hours on the phone began! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! Majority of the operators sounded like you woke them from a nap! One day the wait time was 1 hr!After all that run around I called Home Depot for help. Demanded I speak with a manager. Finally one called me back 3 days later and said she would look into it that day. Then the next day I got a call from Newtown Appliance, Carl. He said he would go out and check on it. That afternoon he went out and fixed it! The delivery men did not hook it up properly like the electrian said! It took almost a month to get it hooked up!THANK YOU SO MUCH TO CARL OF NEWTOWN APPLIANCE!!!”

“First of all...coming to A's Kirby...working for A's Kirby...for over 20 years. This business has been dedicated to God...owned by a woman who has been in Kirby since 1982. She , along with my Father owned and ran H&C Texaco for 22 years. Texaco closed 1982...she went into Kirby..1982..so.she has been with Kirby for over 40 years.Customer service has always been a priority for Connie and crew. We have a Certified Mechanic..and gives warranty on service that is done.As for the car being parked in the front of our door with exhaust coming through..please turn your car off. We have no other source for fresh air, but through only the door. Common sense would tell you...shut your car off. What has happened to our society...not a care about anyone else but yourselves. As a reminder, please be kind and considerate. We are all trying to stay well and safe, and make a living.May I remind you..America was built on sales people.Last but not..least...we are here to serve...Kirby is not sold in stores but only through door to door sales.
