“I brought breakfast from here a couple of mornings and some souvenirs as well. It is in many ways "just a small general store". Sure it is more expensive than a Walmart and the selection is smaller, but it is well-situated near the resorts and has a particularly good selection of cold drinks.”
“You should eat here often!!!
What an amazing meal!!! I had the Thanksgiving meal that the Marketplace prepared. Home-cooked Turkey and Ham to perfection, all the potatoes and stuffing I could eat, plus pumpkin pie to top it all off.
Oh, and never forget the freshest fish on the market and top-notch poke available all week long....”
“Clean station n pumps, usually no issues. If I had a request ID ask for an ethanol percentage sticker and a smile from the sales associate and the place would be great.”

Convenience Stores
“We needed some quick food on our way to Pololu Valley so stopped by this convenience store along the way. I know that Minit Stop is known for their fried chicken and came specifically for that. The menu offered a chili and fried chicken combo but unfortunately they were out of chili. So I just ordered some chicken and rice. The staff packaged up my meal and handed it to me along with a ticket to pay at the front counter. All the staff were friendly, both from the chicken area as well as the front counter. We even had a brief conversation about the goats across the street because I was curious and asked about them. The Big Island has an abundance of wild goats.”
“We came here specifically looking for spam musubi and we weren't disappointed! The rice was perfect! All the supermarket nearby either were out of spam musubi or the rice was dry and hard. The spam musubi here was perfect that we decided to come back here for more as we were in town! We were bummed they didn't have chicken katsu musubi when we came back because it was sooo delicious! I'm happy with whatever we found.”
“The workers here are really nice, and I've heard them put up with some real abuse now and then. Props for the effort to keep the aloha going at work! The pharmacy has long lines. At least they finally put a sign up outside with their hours! Right now the close for lunch around 1-2pish.If you are from the mainland, please don't expect the little local Longs to be able to stock every random RX you may want to fill on vacation. Plan ahead and bring your chronic meds with you! ALL the pharmacy's here have issues getting some meds, and it serves no purpose for you to go on & on about how your CVS in Indiana has no problem getting your stuff. NO ONE CARES and it has nothing to do with whether it's available here. I love this store and the ladies who work there!”
“After riding in on fumes from Hilo through a torrential downpour on my motorcycle I was thankful for the warm welcome and friendly service to get fuel, food, drink and warm up a bit.”
