They worked with the insurance carrier even though it was out of the network, got the estimate approved, booked my rental car and provided lots of updates on the repairs. When I got my truck back the damage was completely fixed and looked brand new. But that’s not all! They even washed my entire truck AND detailed my rims and tires. “I was in an accident recently - someone ran a stop sign and barreled into my truck - and I ended up with quite a bit of front end damage. After working with my insurance agent (shoutout to Jeremy at State Farm!) I selected Kuroda as my body repair shop.
I called and they were able to get me in for an estimating appointment right away. At my consultation I was assigned Shanna as my estimator - she walked me through the estimating process (outlining what I should expect not only from Kuroda but from State Farm as well), and then walked me around my vehicle to inspect the damage and take photos. Shanna was very thorough and found damage that even I wouldn't have caught or thought of. We talked through some options - and decided on a plan that worked best for me. After I left the consultation she had the estimate done within 24 hours - so fast!
Unfortunately they had to order some parts (not in stock) so it took about 10 days to get my truck in the shop but I felt that was a fair timeline for having to bring in the parts. When I dropped my truck off I was met on-site with my rental car (so convenient!!). My truck took about 6 business days for the repairs and Kuroda kept me in the loop the whole time.
I was notified on a Friday morning that my truck was ready. I was super excited to pick it up, and wanted to have it for the weekend, so I left work early (3pm from town) to head to Kuroda in Waipio. You'd think that would have been enough time to make it but the traffic gods had other ideas. There was an 8 car accident at the H1/H2 split causing a massive delay - traffic was at a crawl and I was stressing out. My GPS had me at Waipio after 5pm :( I called Kuroda and told them the situation and they said they would wait for me! They were so nice! Most others would have punched out at 5:01 for their weekend but the ladies at the front stayed late so I could get my truck. I ended up there around 5:15 and was so grateful!!

“I had an alignment issue on my 3rd generation Tundra. It has a 6 inch lift, aftermarket suspension, etc. Marshall helped me and wasn’t able to get it aligned.. identified that I had bent my axel. They DID NOT charge me for the work and once I got the axle replaced by Toyota I needed to get it re-aligned. These guys at four wheel parts are able to align lifted trucks. My truck was crabbing and I had to take it directly to four-wheel parts after three months of waiting for the axel, when I pulled in the parking lot, Marshall immediately remembered me and asked me about the axel and was able to squeeze me in that day. He fixed it by the next day and I was able to be back on the road good as new Marshall and Thomas took care of me. It is difficult when you have to make an appointment or call because these guys are busy but they’re busy for a reason. They’re they are the best.”

“Called to see if they could help me change my brake light bulbs cause both had burnt out. Brought my own bulbs Pete told me to come now. Christian was able to change them in 15 minutes charged me $20 which I so appreciated because I thought I’d be closer to $50. Seems like an easy task but I just couldn’t do it myself! Local guys locally owned. Will be back if need.”

“Today I took delivery of my vehicle! (See former review below) and I just wanted to come back to give a shout out to Desmond, the salesman I worked with who helped me inspect, test drive, and understand all the little nuances of our new vehicle today. I've never had a vehicle with an infotainment screen, and he helped me understand all the settings and how to navigate/customize things. He also helped me with using the applications on my phone so that I can monitor/control the vehicle from a distance. A consummate professional, Desmond just started at Cutter about a month ago and you wouldn't know it. Thank you Desmond! I'd also like to shout out to Troy and Colin who helped me finalize everything in writing. I am a very paranoid person when it comes to legal documents...they were patient and thorough in making sure I understood everything I was signing. There were no surprises or mistakes. Thank you guys for alleviating my stress with such a big purchase!I must have worked with a half dozen people over the past month between phone calls, negotiating the price, and then picking up my vehicle today and finalizing the paperwork. We found 2 cars online at 2 different dealerships that we were extremely interested in. I actually contacted Servco Waipahu first, but after a full day of no response, we contacted Cutter Volvo via their website. I got a call is LESS than 10 minutes! Made an appointment to see the car and received text messages from both the manager and Darryl, our salesperson. On the day of our appt, we were running a little late, I texted both the manager and Darryl, they were SUPER responsive and understanding. “Went to repair my passenger rear fender and bumper via insurance. Rental car was easy as the car was at the shop when I dropped off my car. The repair was for a week but they had to extend the repair because they were waiting on a part from the manufacturer. Progress follow up calls could’ve been more frequent instead on once a week but the folks were friendly, receptionist Kailyn, Shane and Henry! That’s what makes the repair timeframe enjoyable when you’re waiting. The work was quality, as my fender and bumper looked brand new! Would definitely recommend them!”
