They are also extremely meticulous about upkeeping equipment - if you don't believe me, try their rowers! My only regret is not spending more of my time at this amazing place. “Dropped in for a workout on a Saturday. It was an intense partner workout (YGIG box jumps, snatches, and OH squats). Had a great partner in John. David was a solid coach too! Would definitely come back if I visit Boise again. Solid group of folks at the 8am class—seems like a great community.”

“We highly recommend Unique Fitness Methods. Ryan and his team are amazing! They assess your goals, fitness level, diet and any physical limitations you may have then customize a program perfectly suited to you. Their facilities are clean and modern with equipment we have not seen at other gyms. They are supportive, upbeat and always cheer you on. They are super knowledgeable if you are recovering from an injury (as I was), and help you strengthen your body safely to recover more quickly. Again, Ryan and his team are the best!”

“I started with dope when they first opened, and they just had their 2 year celebration. I’ve loved going there since the beginning. I lost 45 lbs going there, and enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone is so kind, and will push you to achieve your goals. Everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting has been positive and helpful through my journey. That includes other boxers who are looking to improve themselves. They offer boom classes that are HIIT centered, as well as POW classes for honing your boxing progress. I have done both, and was impressed with both of them. I love the staff, and everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. If you’re interested in getting fit, or learning how to spar, this place is amazing.”

“Great gym. I came here for a day pass while I was visiting Boise - super easy, other gyms denied me when I asked for a day pass. Clean in there, we'll maintained, and even smells good (what a concept!) Emphasis is definitely on body weight exercises and free weights with plenty of dumbbells, barbells, kettle bells, bumper plates, sleds, cables, squat racks, and olympic platforms. Few weight machines (which I dont use anyway). Lots of cardio machines though. Some unique equipment Ive never seen anywhere else, though to be fair I'm a member of an inexpensive gym back home. It wasn't very busy when I came (Friday during the day) but not sure how busy it gets at peak times such as 5-7pm. This seems like a gym for real strength and endurance trainers, people actually dedicated to the exercise lifestyle. I'd recommend it to locals who fit that profile!”

“I live in DC but needed a place to workout while I was in town for work.I went to Jennifer’s 5:15 am class on Tuesday morning and then ended up going all week!The studio itself is super clean and well laid out. The workouts incorporated a variety of equipment and exercises. Jennifer was highly motivating and extremely knowledgeable (great about giving form corrections and “working the room.”) Not to mention - she was super friendly and engaging!If I’m back in Boise for work, I’ll definitely hit up TruHit again!!”

“I started training in a semi-private class about 4 months ago. My top goals were pain management (due to low back injuries) and increased bone/muscle density (as I'm a middle aged gal). Justin is a safety conscious trainer, who teaches best practices and modifications to help us get up to speed. His classes push us physically (much more than I typically push myself in my own workouts), but don't leave me feeling injured. I have noticed significant decreases in the amount of pain I am dealing with in my low back in all of my daily activities and overall increased strength and energy. Additionally Justin has done a great job showing us a medley of different ways to target different muscle groups, with combinations of body weight, free weight, and machine exercises. This has really boosted my confidence when going to the gym.”

“I’ve been aware of and using the Starting Strength Method since 2018. However, I’ve always been a solo lifter lifting in my garage. During a family trip to Boise, I decided to get a form check using the free drop-in session. I was aware of the Boise location from the Starting Strength Gyms podcast.I met with John in the morning and briefly discussed my lifting history. I decided to start with the squat and deadlift as those are the two lifts I’ve had to self-correct the most over the years. John was incredibly generous with his time. The free session is technically 30-min, but I was there for about 2-hr eventually going through all the lifts (sans power clean). It was great working with John to tweak my technique. I completely understand the value if you have the opportunity to regularly get hands-on coaching at a Starting Strength Gym. John’s explanations were excellent, and I really enjoyed watching him coach other lifters. All in all, I had a very positive experience with John and the Boise gym. I recommend anyone new to SS or anyone who hasn’t experienced hands-on coaching to give them a try.”

“I did a virtual Run consultation with Albert who was highly recommended by my coach. I honestly did not know how a virtual visit would turn out, but it has worked really well for me. I have been impressed with his depth of expertise in proper run technique, and have been able to apply it to my training. I used to have major shin pain while running, but after adopting his recommendations, I no longer suffer from the debilitating shin pains. I strongly recommend Albert if you're struggling with running, or just want to learn how to run better, and more efficiently.”

“The facility is clean and well organized for various workouts classes that the instructor assigns. Andy has been my instructor for the times I have been in class and he shows excellent knowledge and experience in each of the exercises. Andy tailors the program to each persons ability while continuing to monitor their process to insure you achieve them safely. “Went to my first class today at Ascent! The location was super convenient and the facility is clean and has all the equipment you need for class.My instructor was Chad for the core class and he was great! The class was challenging but still doable (I definitely had to take a few breaks). Chad explained everything in detail, was encouraging, and did the workout with the class.I felt like I got a perfect balance of being pushed and challenged while also the understanding that it was tough! Haha.I’m doing the free week trial right now which is also a really cool feature that they have. Highly recommend.”

“It's a small, boutique gym with two locations (downtown Boise and 10 Mile off the 55 Highway). I absolutely loved it when it was free through SelectHealth Insurance. Since I switched insurance after getting married, I realized how expensive it was for the lack of amenities. Given the quality of classes and location, I may come back. The classes are amazing, taught by experienced fitness instructors for the most part. I do always question when fitness instructors/trainers are not fit though. There was only one out of the 5 or so different class instructors.”

“My grandson absolutely loves it here; it’s his favorite place to play on the weekends. The staff is so amazing and accommodating and the facility is clean and welcoming. My grandson is on the spectrum/ nonverbal and appreciates the quiet room; he’s even fallen asleep there. ? As you can see by my photo of his AAC device, he often requests The Sensory Playce. Our community is lucky to have this facility!”

Everyone seems super nice, I mean gym etiquette being what it is it's a very quiet gym but the people when you do talk have all been really nice. Membership fees are fair , and Super Clean!!! “Great music paired with fun but simple to learn dance routines that change frequently to keep things lively! Variations for harder moves are demonstrated to accommodate all ages and levels of fitness. Aerobics, balance, and strength moves all rolled into one hour that goes by surprisingly fast. Rhonda and her team have created a supportive and friendly community of women (and a few men), that encouraged even a former non-exerciser like me into the habit. I highly recommend this well-organized Jazzercise group!”

“My daughter has trained at IFA for four off-seasons. They are our favorite place to condition. Sports-specific training, professional, and clean. The staff is all kind and personable. They return calls and emails in a timely fashion. They've accommodated our schedule and my daughter absolutely loves it AND they focus on weaknesses and train those areas to prevent injury.
