9140 W Emerald St #107, BoiseOur dog is, to put it nicely, very fussy. His breed even has a reputation at most groomers as being challenging and difficult. He happily walks into this place and the staff is always so kind to him and to us about his fussiness. I don’t think I have felt this good about any other groomer I’ve taken him to. I also love that the other dogs, either waiting to be groomed or drying off / waiting for pick up are all out in the open. You can easily see where the animals are being kept and it’s not some secret room in the back where they could be doing only knows what! Also did I mention the staff is absolutely wonderful? I can’t say enough good things. As much as it pains me to write them such a good review because it may make it more difficult to get an appointment if they start to get popular ?, I know they deserve it so it’s worth it

This is a small office that gives a family run veterinary practice vibe in the best way. I’ve been to many vet clinics around town and some are so corporate feeling that they lose the personalized service. While some are so small it’s difficult to get in to be seen when you have problems. This is just right. The front desk staff are warm and friendly and the techs are knowledgeable and compassionate.
My pup has had several issues and they’ve been very helpful and quickly responsive, especially with filling medications. Glad to have this vet office near us in Boise.

2318 N 36th St, BoiseI cannot say enough good things about Ewing Animal Hospital. We have utilized services by both Dr. Wethered & Dr. Lieske for various reasons across the years (annual check-ups, spays, tumor removal, blood panels, kidney failure, multiple day hospitalizations, etc.). There is no such thing as a dumb question and I have never felt like I was rushed through an appointment or like communication was lacking like some other reviews state. They do a really great job at trying to accommodate any of your scheduling needs. Both vets also work out of another location so if their schedule at Ewing does not fit your availability or needs, they do a great job at coordinating with the other location to ensure your pet is able to be seen. The staff ranging from their awesome veterinarians, vet techs to their front reception team show that they actually care which really helps during those spooky hospital stays because you can trust that your pet is in good hands (and receives love and attention during their stay). That portion was HUGE for me. I knew my pets were not just hanging out alone in their kennel. Visits were allowed and each staff member we came in contact with had a million things to say and chatted about the time they were spending with them. I could not recommend them enough.

The Pet Doctor

I have been taking my two Rottweilers to them for years now and have never had anything happen with the visits that was concerning. I recently got a third Rottweiler in December and they are treating him with just as much love and care as the other two. It has taken me a long time to find a vet who was comfortable and confident around Rottweilers. Some would immediately put a muzzle on them at the beginning of the appointment, which was not helpful. All three of my dogs absolutely LOVE going to the vet and there's no anxiety, aggression or fear from them. Going to the vet is a treat! I know this is because of how all the staff at The Pet Doctor treat my dogs each and every time. This makes me as the owner feel very relieved and grateful. Would totally recommend Dr. Zahller and her whole staff to anyone who's looking for a new vet with a knowledgeable & personal touch!

I took our new Old English Bulldog puppy in a few months ago to establish care. 2.5 months later he became sick with gastrointestinal problems. Seemed like he would have the problems at home…diarrhea, lethargy, etc…. He would get to the Vet and would seem better. Over a period of time with their patience and fortitude the issue was found and he is on the mend. I am so grateful that they didn’t give up and that all their time and tests were affordable. I was kept informed and they were very patient with me and my multiple phone calls as I was nervous. I would definitely recommend Companions to anyone who loves their pet as if they are a member of the family. They are amazing.

406 S 3rd St, BoiseI normally hate beer. All beer. I saw they had wine and hard cider, and immediately felt relieved that there was something I would enjoy drinking. However, upon looking at the list of available beers and their alluring descriptions, I asked if I could try a couple -- explaining my normal disdain for beer and love for more fruit drinks -- to just see if I could tolerate them. I was presented with three samples: a peach cream beer, an orange creamsicle beer, and a plum hard cider. I tried the first and was surprised to find that I actually didn't dislike it. Trying the second, I was so delighted that I enjoyed that one even more that I told them I would have that. Once they started pouring it, I realized I still had the cider. That cider is the best cider I think I have ever had in my life. I drank the orange creamsicle beer I ordered, but you can bet your bottom dollar I got that cider for the rest of the night! Top notch.
I'm addition to the incredible drinks they offer, sitting in the outside space felt roomy, comfortable, and all-around good. They are dog friendly (I saw dogs both inside and outside), which I LOVE, and they had the absolute GREATEST pizza food truck and cookie stand ever! This is an excellent space to grab some drinks with friends and family and just relax.

They even took the time to count out my daughter’s change that she had been saving for her cat. We had the whole place to ourselves for an hour as we met several pairs of kittens.
