Flourish Bakery LLC
3203 W Chinden Blvd #1, Garden CitySarah and Danielle did my wedding cakes this June and they were the talk of the town! Flourish doesn’t make traditional tiered wedding cakes but they make 8 inch, six layer cakes that feed 12-18 people for $50. We had about 115 people at our wedding and we bought six of these cakes and then a smaller cake for our cutting cake. We heard from so many people after the wedding that they absolutely loved the cakes, that they were so moist and delicious and they loved the variety we had chosen. Flourish will do any flavor you’d like so we chose their German chocolate (best you’ll ever have), strawberry shortcake, and lemon blueberry which are their typical flavors and then they did a custom chocolate raspberry by adding raspberry to their death by chocolate flavor. Their cakes are so moist and rich, without being overly sweet. Most of their cakes also have a crumble on top which has a bit of salt so it’s very balanced. They did a great job arranging the flowers on top and looked absolutely gorgeous on our cake table!

Big Bun Drive In
4999 N Glenwood St, Garden CityWe stopped by Big Bun Drive In for the first time today, and I have to say, this place is firing on all cylinders!
The server at the counter was fantastic. She took the time to walk us through the menu, answer our questions, and make some amazing recommendations. You can tell the staff genuinely wants you to have a great experience.
Then the manager, Elaina, came out to check on us and see how everything was. She even asked if we’d be willing to try their hand-battered fish and give her some feedback to make sure they’re getting it cooked to perfection. That says a lot about how much pride they take in their food.
And the food? The Baldy Burger was freaking AMAZING! 🍔 The fries and onion rings were spot on, too.
But here’s what really stood out to me: I’ve been to places with incredible food but terrible service. I’ve been to places with great service where the restaurant itself just isn’t cared for. And sometimes everything is good, but the vibe just isn’t there.
Big Bun gets it all right.
The restaurant was spotless, the food was fantastic, the staff was welcoming and genuinely helpful, and the overall atmosphere just felt right. It’s not often you find a place where the food, service, cleanliness, and hospitality all come together like they did today.
This was a home run. ⚾
We’re so thankful we stopped in, and we’ll absolutely be back. Big Bun Drive In — keep doing what you’re doing! You’ve got something special here. ❤
