“Such a fun experience with my daughter for her first hoco. The owner, Mary, was amazing! We purchased the perfect dress but noticed a gem missing once we brought it home. When I contacted her she didn’t even hesitate, she told me to bring it in. Then 1 week before the dance my daughter was looking at her dress and it slid off the hanger and tore a delicate mesh piece. When I contacted Mary she went above and beyond to get the dress fixed for us in time! We can’t wait to shop here for more Special occasions! 🥰”

“I’ve been shopping at this Plato’s Closet for quite some time, & it continues to be one of my favorite secondhand stores! Having visited other Plato’s locations throughout the Chicago land area and other states I’ve lived, I really appreciate how well this particular store is maintained. It’s incredibly clean, organized, & doesn’t have that strong & typical secondhand clothing smell you often encounter in resale shops! It’s till a secondhand shop, but the smell is not so overwhelming it makes the first few minutes difficult to browse. What really stands out to me is the quality of the clothing. You can tell they’re selective about what they accept, & it makes such a difference in the shopping experience. The clothes are in great condition, & the entire store feels fresh & well cared for. There is heart in it—shows someone cares about their shop. I also regularly bring in my own clothing to sell, & they accept a good amount of what I bring! I’m very particular about making sure everything is freshly washed, clean, & free of pet hair (which takes some effort with two Great Danes 🐶🐶 at home!). I believe this should be standard practice when selling secondhand clothing, out of respect for both the store & the next person purchasing it. I love that this location clearly has standards when it comes to cleanliness & the condition of what they accept. You can literally smell the difference! Ha ha. 😂 The atmosphere is wonderful, & the staff is always friendly, welcoming, & helpful. It’s obvious that a lot of care goes into running this location, & it absolutely shows. Such a great shopping & selling experience every time. Highly recommend!”
