βStopped by to grab some lunch off the hot bar. Eric was heading the grilling station and absolutely killed it. He immediately noticed that I was looking for something that wasn't available and offered to make it fresh for me. Told me how long it would take and made the time fly by with idle conversation. Highly recommend Eric for his outstanding customer service. Will be back for sure.β
βAs a walkable neighborhood option I'd give it 4 stars. The staff was friendly, they met the estimated order time Nothing was bad.It isn't a place that competes well on overall food quality (a brief trip up Wisconsin to Leonardos gets you a much better Pizza, for example). On food alone, I'd probably give 3 stars, but to have a place that offers decent, hot food, with some variety in walking distance bumps it up a star.β
βI love this store I go to it mostly all the time stuff might be a little high but itβs good and In walking distance from where I live and I would recommend this store to everybodyβ

βThe overnight Associate is fantastic! She had such an upbeat attitude, something that rejuvenated my spirit at 1 o'clock in the morning. I hope she's here again the next time I pass this way.β
βIs a good liquor store had a lot of good bourbon and whiskey that filled about one and a quarter isles all of their mid upper midtier bourbons and whiskeys were out on the floor on the top shelf and very noticeable. I actually picked up a bottle of Weller reserve for a decent price.β
βTypically you can get your orders within 6 min or less depending on the order..
Otherwise it will take 15 min to an HR again depending on the order you placeβ
βAs opposed to the grocery store, this place is awesome! The employees are always kind and accommodating. They are always willing to make something fresh and custom just for me and my son since we are picky eaters. I love this place!β

βI didn't go inside but the fuel pumps were well stocked, clean and 20 cents cheaper than across the river! It's a little hard to find coming from 74, but just keep following the signs for the civic center. Turn right at the light just before the bridge back across to Peoria.β
βThis place is home and home will always be home is where I grew up as well I was raised when my parents was living and we lived in the Harrison home with my mom and my dad and my siblings and my granny. To me I can never go wrong with going to Griswold Grocery & Liquor. I don't have any pictures to share.
But it's not always about buying anything it's like reconnecting with my life and family and friends.
Honestly I love the price of their products. And I have been going there since I was a youth, teenager and now I'm an adult (my age ranged from 9 yrs old to now I'm 62 and will be 63 this year of 2024.
Everyone knows someone and can keep me in the loop βΏβ°

βI'm hooked on thorntons! The fuel discounts in the app are amazing. 5 cents off a gallon with app and they do 15 cents off a gallon on the app at least twice a month. And last week, I got gas for 25 cents off a gallon!! The fountain drinks are a must if you go. But make sure you get the app cause you can earn so many items!β
βIt's convenient when you don't want to go to Kroger, or walmart, prices are a little higher, but worth the convenience...the food from kitchen is very good...they have the best Natchos in town in my opinion...β

βThey know me by name. They are always nice to me. Never had any problems. When my wallet was taken they were very helpful in finding the lady that just helped herself toy money...they were very understanding and assured in showing the police video to catch her.β
βI will admit, I have never been inside, but I have used the ice machine outside and highly recommend it. $2 gets you 12 pounds of ice. The same amount gets you 7 pounds at the gas station just down the street. Plus the convenience of the machine outside, saving you a trip inside and a possible wait in line can't be beat. If you just need some quick ice, forget the gas station and make a quick stop here.β

Regular customers are called by name when appropriate. Very close knit small town gas station with unlimited selection of drinks, snacks, tobacco products and alcoholic beverages. Accepts wide variety of coupons. Workers are compliant with age restricted product laws and always ask for ID. They recently added a gaming area for 21+ individuals.β

βI absolutely LOVE Austin the pharmacist!!! He is always smiling and super helpful. Regardless whether Iβm calling or actually at the pharmacy asking questions he is always patient and goes above and beyond for myself and my children that also receive medication there! He deserves a raise!!!β

βPretty awesome. Place there friendly and helpful little pricey. But they're the only place. S open 24 hours, so what do you do? It's a good place to go. They have everything. And surprisingly and ironically, they even have fish food.β
βSuch a huge change from walking into CVS compared to Walgreens. CVS the clerk comes around from the pay lane an follows as if your going to steal. Walgreens on the other hand the clerks come from around the pay lane an assist you and help if you have any inquiries.β
βConvenient that they open at 6am. They have a great variety of alcohol and other things to buy also. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I drive 4 extra miles out of the way to stop here rather than the local liquor store. I would definitely recommend this store to all my family and friends.β
