“Drew was an amazing coach! My 12-week challenge was a great experience. Drew always has a great attitude during every class, he brings welcoming energy, and he ensures that you understand how to do the exercises. He frequently checked in with me whenever I missed a few classes and he provided accountability with my diet. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to have fun workouts and be part of a small fitness community.”
“Love Coalition! Great staff! Excellent community! Nice space with plenty of equipment for everyone! I've been to multiple HIIT-type gyms in the past, and this is definitely one of the best. Thanks to Cole and the entire team for making it a great place to workout and connect!”

“I have so many positive thoughts about this place I don’t know where to start. This is easily the best gym I’ve been to since I started working out in 2016. The community and staff are unmatched, truly feels like a big family. From the day I walked in seeking a membership I felt extremely welcomed. As a female it’s hard finding gyms where you feel respected and not stared at by creepy old dudes and I immediately noticed a difference in mentality here. Everyone has a mutual respect for one another, everyone reracks their weights/cleans equipment. They have some newer booty builder equipment that isn’t found many other places as well as a posing room! The ONLY reason I left was we due to relocation issues and I’m so upset I had to leave ? this gym has me contemplating an hour drive just to be back somewhere I feel happy calling home”

“I've been a member for almost a year. The three owners are genuinely great people. Senad is one of the best instructors of any kind I've ever had. LaMont, another owner, is very hands on and keeps the place running smoothly. There is much pride here, and very little ego. All of their coaches are excellent, with special shout outs going to my favorites: Christine, Joe and Brad. If you like putting yourself in situations where they make you do tons of things you would never ever make yourself do, you will get your money's worth here. PXM is not crossfit affiliated; however, they abide with standard HIIT training and have been incorporating more muscle building classes. Also, they are focused on running and core as well as gymnastic strength. Your glutes will be worked no matter what. The schedule of classes works with most work schedules whether you are a 9-5er or a weekend warrior or in the hospitality industry. Much like a good yoga class, there are always at least 1-3 modified movements offered to match your personal strength and fitness levels. My husband attends regularly but never lifted a weight in his life now has a washboard torso.”
“Been at Basecamp West Loop for almost three years now and I am so thankful for the fitness (and friends) that I’ve built here! The workout is engaging and clear (which is helpful when my brain is half asleep ?). The coaches each bring their own flare to the workout, and you can’t go wrong with any of them: Dana brings the hype, Braxton brings the intensity, Dennis has such attention to detail, and Brittany makes everyone feel like a friend… I could go on! Not to mention, you will always be welcomed and celebrated at Basecamp (s/o Abby & Alyona). So thankful for this place and the people that make it!
Also, think it goes without saying that I wouldn’t stay if I didn’t see results, too.”
“Love Archetype! Joined about a year ago as my first experience with crossfit and fell in love with the workouts, the community, and how much stronger I feel. Highly recommend to beginners and experts alike!”
“Joining this gym was the best choice I made in 2025 hands down. I have more stamina and strength, but tbf this is my first ever CrossFit gym. It's very welcoming for beginners, but is challenging for elite athletes too; most athletes need to scale the main metcons (metabolic conditioning workouts).
The space can accomodate classes of 25-30 with space for 2-3 individuals to do their own workouts in the open gym space.
In this community, there are multiple entrepreneurs whose side businesses offer other nutrition, wellness, and food services. I love being surrounded by a community that is smart, welcoming, and savvy.
I cannot recommend this gym enough to my friends and family in the Chicagoland area.”

“Was traveling into town for a trade show & hit up Rockwell Barbell. If you're a strength sport enjoyer this is the gym for you. All the competition equipment an athlete could look for from calibrated plates to fun gear like bands & chain Rockwell has it all. Lawrence was easy to deal with and his gym is a personification of his support of strength sports. Any gear or equipment you can need (boards for bench?) is abundant, didn't have to wait for a single item. If you're debating the trip to get there.... don't, you won't regret it. If you like jacking steel, it's the place to be in Chicago!”

“9Round is a great workout experience. I love that it is open 24/7 and the workouts refresh daily. You can come in when best works for you and have a new, engaging workout each time. The trainers, Nico & Plash, are great too. They are quick to jump in and give you tailored exercises based on your goals and are encouraging and fun to talk to. Working out at 9round has been a great step in my fitness journey.”

“I used to go to LA fitness and no matter what time I would go it was always crowded, equipment always out of order, and rude employees .
From the moment I walked in this gym I was welcomed with friendly faces. Switching over to Anytime has completely changed my workout habits. I am able to comfortably workout. I no longer dread going to the gym . The atmosphere here is friendly and so welcoming. I’ve lost over 10 pounds in one month alone . It’s small but everything is always available . If you’re thinking of switching gyms give this one a try!”
“I moved from Ireland to Chicago for 1 year and joined this gym. It’s a brilliant gym with a really fun community to train with. Very nice and friendly was really comfortable entering for first time. “This a great gym, and the experience has been amazing. Clean facilities, knowledgeable instructors, wonderful community, and the owner is incredible. Classes for kids and adults makes it easy for the entire family to reach their fitness goals.
Our daughter came here to become a faster athlete and it has been amazing watching her succeed on her journey. Her instructors are willing to meet her where she's at and help her achieve her athletic goals.

“I was never someone who enjoyed fitness—in fact, even walking up a flight of stairs would leave me winded. But OrangeTheory completely changed that for me. It’s the only workout program that’s kept me motivated, consistent, and actually excited to show up.
Coach Hector is phenomenal. His energy is contagious, and his encouragement pushes you to go further than you thought possible. Walking into one of his classes is truly an experience—there’s a vibe that lifts you the moment you step in.
Coach Kaci is equally incredible. Her passion for what she does shines through every class. She’s always supportive, attentive, and ensures you’re doing the exercises safely and effectively.
The workouts deliver real results, but what sets OrangeTheory apart is the amazing community. You’re not just joining a gym—you’re meeting inspiring coaches and connecting with new friends who cheer you on every step of the way.”

“Excellent, 24-hour, old-school iron gym. A day pass is $17. They have a little bit of everything from fat-grip dumbbells to belt squat. There are two separate buildings a half block apart. One for upper body and one for lower body.”
“I’ve been going to The Garage Chicago since July 2025 and can honestly say it’s one of the best fitness spaces I’ve experienced. They seriously hire trainers and coaches from the best of the best!!
I have trained with both Leanna and Sarah for PT sessions. They are always on time, professional, and thoughtfully structured. They keep a steady pace, adjust workouts on the spot when needed, and ensures consistent progression week after week. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and pay attention to what my body needs.
The variety of classes is also a huge plus—everything you need is in one place. I also love not having to bring a yoga mat or towels to the hot classes. The gym itself is the cleanest I’ve ever been in—every area is well maintained. I am grateful to have The Garage in my neighborhood!”

“Strength 101 is a gym built with care, intention, and real expertise. Training with Bryant, you immediately feel supported, capable, and comfortable. He is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and truly meets people where they are, always finding ways to make training accessible and encouraging.
Now that he has his own gym, Strength 101, it’s a pleasure to continue training there. The space reflects who he is, welcoming, intentional, and grounded. I’ve always believed that muscle is vitality, muscle is life, and muscle is key to longevity, and I’m grateful to be part of that journey here.

“Avoid Anytime Fitness. Canceling is a nightmare, and they’ll still try to charge you extra. I was on the month to month to make it easier nope! The gym itself is tiny, smells bad, and isn’t well maintained it’s super dirty The free weight area is practically non existent, and most of the equipment is old and worn out. Overall, not worth the money. And for the staff not the brightest. Don’t be fool by the pictures it doesn’t look anything like it.”
