“My hometown hardware store. I've shopped here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff are always very friendly and helpful . They can help you find anything you're looking for. This morning, I even picked up some free grass from the area in front of the parking lot. One of the staff members was kind enough to bring me a bottle of cold water. I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Excellent customer service—I highly recommend this store!”

“I was there for my first time and I was looking for the garden twine. A staff member came to me asking if I needed any help. He directed me to the proper isle. Also the cashier was very nice. I will go back again.”

“Have a wide variety of stock, and friendly employees. The paint is had mixed though was off by a decent amount, luckily the customer liked the color and used it as an accent wall!”

“David at Ace Hardware is an absolute lifesaver! I was on a mission to find a very specific screw, and honestly, I was starting to lose hope. David didn't just point me in a direction; he walked me over, listened carefully to what I needed, and somehow knew *exactly* which obscure screw it was. David’s knowledge and patience were incredible. Ace Hardware is lucky to have him!”
485 East Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn IL 60137
“Ace is the place and this particular store is one of my go to spots for hardware and keys. I also bought my last Toro mower here. The only downside is when I had the mower serviced, there was not very good communication about how things were going. This might have been due to the place they send the mowers out to, but the manager recently told me she would personally get back to me and didn’t.”

“As one of the only hardware stores in central extreme central western DuPage it's a godsend when the nearest big box stores are 1/2 hour away. Hillman selection could be better but staff are friendly and knowledgeable.”
1559 Irving Park Road, Hanover Park IL 60133
“Current store manager was amazing. Started with an enthusiastic good morning and offer to help as soon as I walked in. He processed a return for a tool that had been recalled some time ago without any hustle. Good to know that they take care of issues when needed.”
225 W Roosevelt Rd, Lombard IL 60148
“Erin was lovely and possibly the reason the business looks more like a model home than a body shop. Dave was very helpful and really went above and beyond in both his work and his explanations/communications with me!”
930 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights IL 60004
“I went to this store to buy a replacement cabinet hinge. They didn’t have what I needed but they went out of their way to find a local store that carried the item. They called the store and printed out the exact product I needed. If they were this helpful in finding a product from a local competitor, I can only imagine how helpful they would be if I was their customer. What a great store. It’s hard to find customer service like this anymore.”
1753 W Golf Rd, Mt Prospect IL 60056
“I went in to get replacement screws for a cheap bed frame from Amazon. I was greeted when I walked in, was offered help, and T was beyond incredible. She was patient, kind, friendly, and helped me find what I needed. The screws she provided me worked perfectly! I also told her she reminded me of a dear friend of mine that was so gentle and that I missed and she gave me a hug.🫶🏼 The cashier at check out was also wonderful! I had a great experience here and am so happy it’s my local Ace!”

“My AC was leaking and had Antonio come resolve the issue. He was prompt and respectful. Fully explained what happened and how to prevent it in the future. As anyone knows it’s difficult to someone you can always rely on but AnyTemp has been my go to for HVAC related issues since recently installing a new furnace for me. All their employees are knowledgeable and take their time to explain what’s going on which is greatly appreciated. Fantastic work and value.”

“Best hardware store around. I missed the free popcorn since covid. They have everything in a very knowledgeable staff that's very helpful. A little overpriced but I think you're paying for the service”

“Carlson Glass & Mirror are a great resource for any glass and mirror needs. We recently gave them an antique coffee table top that had a crack in the glass top. Ray was straightforward with me about the potential cost and time it would take. Surprisingly, Ray called me the next day and advised that they were able to complete the work overnight and for far less than we anticipated. I would highly recommend them.”

“Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They have an awesome selection. Just wish they offered more classes! Everything is full for the next 2 months. They need more wood working 101 classes. There's a real need for it. So many people are looking. And nothing seems available.”
225 Saint Charles Road, Villa Park IL 60181
“They dont make em like these guys anymore! I couldn't afford a pro so i tried to replace a kitchen faucet myself. Ran into other issues. Ron was so sweet! Super knowledgeable, eager to help, even talked me through most of the repair in person and by phone. Tell him Deb with the purple hair sent you 😉”

“This is my go-to hardware store. I prefer smaller businesses. I get better one on one service when I have questions or need recommendations. Employees are always helpful.”

“We headed to RH Outlet on a Saturday in search of a king sized bed frame. We were greeted and helped by Howard, who was wonderful - polite and helpful. We found a bed we liked for a great price and we used one of the 3rd party delivery recos they provided. The transporit movers were excellent and everything went extremely smoothly! The gallery and selection are huge and this is definitely worth checking out. Just remember you'll have to pay a bit extra for delivery if you don't have a large vehicle. Totally worth it in my opinion!”

“I like to support local businesses. This one is better than any big box store for you lumber needs. Dare I say it is also a better value? Certainly is for common lumber needs.”

“I had such an exceptional experience at this Home Depot location that I felt compelled to share it. After visiting multiple stores trying to find a plant that matched the aesthetic I needed for my office, I kept running into limitations and was honestly feeling discouraged. When I arrived at this location, I was greeted by Aidan, who immediately stood out for his kindness and willingness to help. He took the time to really listen to what I was trying to accomplish and genuinely cared about finding a solution. Shortly after, the manager, Shi, stepped in — and together, they went above and beyond to make something work for me. What impressed me the most was not just that they helped, but how they helped: with positivity, creativity, and a true customer-first attitude that I hadn’t experienced at other locations. Aidan personally assisted me every step of the way, and both him and Shi made me feel like my request truly mattered. Even when I had to come back with a small issue afterward, Shi handled it with the same level of professionalism and kindness, immediately resolving it without hesitation. It’s rare to come across people who genuinely care about customer experience the way they do. Their attitude, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on me. Thank you, Aidan and Shi — you turned what had been a frustrating search into such a positive and memorable experience. I truly appreciate you both.”

“We had a single car detached garage that was original to the house, probably 60 years old at that point. The foundation had cracked in a couple places and water would pool inside every time it rained. We tried sealing the cracks but it kept getting worse. Eventually realized we needed to just tear it down and start fresh with something bigger. DuPage came out and looked at what we had, then walked us through a couple different size options for a new build. We went with a two car since we had the lot space for it. They handled the demolition of the old one, poured a new slab, and built the whole thing up from there. The drainage around the new foundation is way better and we haven't had any water issues since it went up. They also offer financing which helped us spread out the cost without having to wait another year to save up. The new garage is solid, dry, and big enough that we actually have room for storage along the side walls now. Highly recommend!!!”

“This store offers a different experience and selection compared to Home Depot or Lowe’s. I appreciate the variety they provide—while mostly traditional hardware store items, they also carry a wide range of household products that are well priced and easy to find all in one convenient location.”
1601 Nicholas Blvd, Elk Grove Village IL 60007
“They were incredibly kind and helpful! From the moment I arrived, they carried my gas tank for me and even helped attach the topper, taking the time to show me how to do it myself for next time. I really appreciated how patient and friendly they were throughout my visit. They made the experience so easy and comfortable, and treated me with so much kindness. Excellent customer service. Thank you so much!”
