“Originally happened across Hyvee simply needed some essentials while staying in a hotel nearby - found a couple items that I loved so while visiting again, we had to stop in and pick them up!
It is on the pricier side compared to Walmart but I believe the quality of the fresh food items were alot better than their competitor.
The Bakery is also a great place to grab some sweet treats!!”
“I love Schnucks but I had to take my son, who is handicapped and in a wheelchair, shopping with me me, and they have no handicap carts. It was extremely difficult to shop with him in one normal cart and pull another one behind me to put groceries in. They should have those carts called Carolyn's cart”

“Jewels produce section is extraordinary. The prices are a little pricy and higher than Walmart bcuz they have way better quality of meats, fruits, & vegetables. And they carry most of the same products as Walmart and other veneers. They have self checkout lanes, fee free membership(Jewel’s Card) perks that beats Walmart and Sam’s Club who never ever have a sale for their customers period. It’s always an awesome weekly sales going on at Jewel’s that’s delivered straight to your mailbox out email which every one you prefer.”
“The staff is always personable, professional and courteous despite the apparent staffing shortage they manage to move from restocking to listening to the bell to respond to customers when they arrive at checkout without looking exasperated. I always go into the store and spend more than I intended to spend. There’s always a treasure there that is also a great price deal. I am glad they have expanded the convenience items that save us time and guess what we can get about all we can without having to go to the grocery store”
“This store is the best dollar general around. The management staff is so friendly and helpful! any question I have is always answered. I seldom need to ask anything because everything is so easy to find in this store! While I do not have young kids, I do appreciate the manager’s treasure box for the kids who are shopping in the store! I live on the other side of town and travel to this dollar general because I love it so much, it is worth a little bit of extra gas and travel time to get there.”

My wife was looking for a specific kind of chip and that was not available but everyone was very friendly. After checking out at least three different employees said to have a nice day on the way out”

“I go to Walmart at least 3 times a week, easy to find everything, typically better prices than other grocers.
The fresh fruit mainly strawberries is why only 4 stars. The strawberries are always lackluster and grow mold after 2 days compared with other places such as Jewels or Krogers.
No consistent issues with other fruits or veggies.”

“Such a great place! I recently found out I was lactose intolerant and it's hard to find many places in central Illinois where I can find a variety of dairy-free options. Everyone– both the staff and the patrons– are so kind. Three different people overheard me talking with my mother about not knowing what to try and offered their own recommendations and pointed us in the right direction. I live in Peoria, but the drive is definitely worth it.”
