“I absolutely love the peanut burger from here but I heard the unfortunate news that it got discontinued?? why would anyone ever get rid of such a wonderful thing. i haven’t been back since because it has bummed me out so much but this place still rocks and love the atmosphere!”
“I had my first visit to The Olive Bin …… Amazing !!! I purchased the Lime Olive Oil and the Cherry Rose White Balsamic Vinegar and made the Montmorency Cherry Rose Salad, it was so refreshing and enjoyable. The dressing was so easy. I’m totally in love with the store ❤️. The recipes they offer on the website is really good.”
“Such a great place! I recently found out I was lactose intolerant and it's hard to find many places in central Illinois where I can find a variety of dairy-free options. Everyone– both the staff and the patrons– are so kind. Three different people overheard me talking with my mother about not knowing what to try and offered their own recommendations and pointed us in the right direction. I live in Peoria, but the drive is definitely worth it.”
“I'm so glad to have an ALDI store in Terre Haute, Indiana. Actually, there are TWO! Ideally, it would be nice to have ALDI in Brazil, Indiana, again! Especially since our town has only one grocery store now, other than the small Walmart, which has no fresh produce.
In Bloomington, IL, I stopped in to purchase a bottle of wine to take to my friend where I was heading to visit.”
““It’s Schnucks… what a funny name, and what a glorious store.”
Walking into the Schnucks in Normal, Illinois feels like stepping into a Midwestern food wonderland. Need the makings of a St. Louis–style pizza? They’ve got everything—from Provel cheese (that mysterious, melty cousin of Velveeta) to thin crusts that snap like a cracker. And if you’re not feeling like channeling your inner Imo’s chef, they even stock frozen St. Louis–style pizzas ready to go.
The store itself is clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate. The staff? Midwest nice to the core—you half expect them to apologize if you bump into them. And the name alone, Schnucks, sounds like a cartoon sidekick or something you’d yell when you stub your toe. “SCHNUCKS!” Try saying it without smiling. Can’t be done.
So yeah, it’s a grocery store… but it’s OUR grocery store. And when a craving for that gooey, unmistakably St. Louis pizza hits, Schnucks in Normal has your back. Funny name, serious pizza game”
“Love this place! They offer great organic lemonade offered a refundable container. Produce, pasta, grains, beans, greens, dairy and of course ice cream are all amazing. Step aside ALDI you’re not the only one in town with free boxes.”

“Aldi has some really great products and some good prices. I shop there every week when grocery shopping. Not every location has self checkout, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Don't forget to bring your reusable bags or grab a few more while your there. You're going to need them.”
“Originally happened across Hyvee simply needed some essentials while staying in a hotel nearby - found a couple items that I loved so while visiting again, we had to stop in and pick them up!
It is on the pricier side compared to Walmart but I believe the quality of the fresh food items were alot better than their competitor.
The Bakery is also a great place to grab some sweet treats!!”
“I love Schnucks and was hoping to find the “super food salad” they had on the salad bar prior to Covid. My Missouri store stopped making it, so I checked here. The deli had it but, it’s not the same. I had 3 blueberries, kale stems, carrots, and not much else. I was really disappointed.”
“I went this morning, the Friday before Christmas. My boys and I are going to decorate sugar cookies at home. The young lady there was so helpful to point me in the right direction. What tips, bags, and coloring to use for the exact icing we we needed for royal icing. Love this place!”
“Love the Osco on S Cottage Ave in Normal, because of its professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff, some of whom have been there for years and they know me by name. I get my annual vaccinations there too. This is a dependably well-run pharmacy.”

“In my experience, this is the best pharmacy in the area. The staff and pharmacists are friendly and informative. The fill time for prescriptions is swift if the meds are in stock. Still the turnaround is just a day or two when out of stock.”
“The pharmacy at this store is incredible. I've done the Walmart, Walgreens, cvs, Meijer and then finally jewel osco. The other pharmacies would have extremely long wait times and delay in filing medication. The female pharmacist that was working today and basically any other time I've been in there is amazing. She actually takes the time to see if you can get a better deal with a coupon. Rather than the other pharmacies just denying refills for reasons I don't know. She (pharmacist at osco) just came and talked to me about what was going on with the dose changing. I told her and she said that makes sense and got it done for me. They are fast, friendly, unlike any other pharmacy I've ever had to use. It seems she's there by herself as the pharmacist every day and you can see her just running back and forth and treating people with kindness and respect. Not like your a bother because you need to pick up your rx like those other chain pharmacies. Highly recommend and I believe the female pharmacist probably in her 30s and the red headed man with a beard deserve a raise. Treat them right osco. You've got some incredible staff and I would do anything you can to keep them and support them to make their life easier. Seems like they should have more staff so I don't always seem the same employees working so hard. Anyway after that long winded review Google asked me for, 10 stars”
“This store consistently offers good weekly specials on fresh produce. The staff are also pleasant, particularly Joyce, who is often by the self-checkout area. She is very friendly and provides wonderful customer service. She is one of the best employees, always welcoming and serving customers with her beautiful smile and lot of patience which is very rare to see.I have been a regular customer there for many years but never had a bad experience here even once.”
“I have shopped this neighborhood Jewel-Osco for almost 20 years and want to compliment the managers and employees for their amazing customer service and the way they keep the store in great form. Grocery and pharmacy employees are friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer help. I appreciate the very visible effort the store puts forth to hire and mentor young people, including ones that are neurodivergent and find public work challenging. Store leadership demonstrates patient teaching and guidance in public view. The selection of products is very good. The other Jewel-Osco stores in town would do well to takes notes on the way this store operates.”
“An Absolutely fantastic experience... I noticed you guys are temporarily closed. When will you guys open back up. DG is so important to the community we need you guys ???”
“GREAT Store. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing selection of products. Would recommend to anyone. There’s a lot of items that you can really only find here. Will definitely be returning…quite frequently”
“This store is the best dollar general around. The management staff is so friendly and helpful! any question I have is always answered. I seldom need to ask anything because everything is so easy to find in this store! While I do not have young kids, I do appreciate the manager’s treasure box for the kids who are shopping in the store! I live on the other side of town and travel to this dollar general because I love it so much, it is worth a little bit of extra gas and travel time to get there.”
“For a small town grocery store they have a good variety of foods, medications and household items.Price points on non sale items are a bit higher, but not high enough to make it worth driving 18 miles to Normal. And the majority of folks who work there are respectful and professional.”

“Great customer service from the moment you walk in. Every employee said hello with a smile, the manager helped us find an item and even walked us straight to it. The cashier was a very friendly gentleman. Great experience.”
“Awesome experience at the store, check out clerk was helpful , kind , acted very professional, I always go to Walmart, before considering another store, Walmart has great sales on things I need or can use . .”
“Opening a new store just a block away in what used to be the worst run business in the neighborhood. I hope you guys sell soda and snacks because I'm sick of going all the way to Kroger for the things I need.”
“Shout out to employee Ericka! She was our guardian angel the other night when we had trouble and pulled over off the interstate! She helped us so much and it is wonderful that in 2024, someone was willing to do something outside of their job description, just to be a nice person! If i am ever in Hudson again, this would be where i would stop for all of my snacks or needed items while traveling!”
