If your dog is having health issues it's usually the food and good food is the best prevention for trips to the vet. Ask for Cameron he is super knowledgeable and patient when explaining the difference in dog food.”
“Best pet store in Chicago! I've been going there for 35 years. Healthier fish than any other store in this city! Tony is alright! Everyone has a bad day sometimes! And he has been working on his feet for 8 hours! Hey lady have some compassion for him, imagine if you worked on your feet for 8 hours and he came to your job and stopped you from going home at the assigned time? How would you treat him? Next time go earlier. I think Tony's last job was a bouncer in a lounge. Lol.just kidding. I love goldens pet store and everyone in it. Tony is a hard worker, he is very helpful to Mr Golden. And he is loyal to Mr Golden. That's what matters the most! If you want healthy fish; then go to Golden's. if you don't then go somewhere else!”
“I like to support small businesses, and this is one of them. They have all you need for whatever pet you have. They have 40lbs bags of dog food for $19.99. Very old school as they write out receipts. Staff is nice and will call you if a product you want came in. Love this place.”
“I just want to say the way some of these customers treat some of these wonderful and friendly employees is purely disgusting and disrespectful!!! I witnessed a customer talking aweful to a groomer and I had to put them in their place!!! I’ve been coming to this location for years!!!!! I hope Petsupply plus can agree some customers are not always right some are completely miserable and looking for an altercation especially at this location because that wasn’t the first time I witnessed this and props to the employees for keeping their cool and letting the customers talk down to them instead of lashing back. Whoever is in charge, protect your employees with all costs. My family been getting our dog groomed here for a very long time and all the groomers are amazing from the employees that been there long to the new ones I’ve never had a Problem!!! I highly recommend this store to anyone in the area. My German shepherd loves it here.”

We've been shopping here regularly for our dish soap, dishwasher powder, hand soap, laundry detergent, and fabric softener. “Was referred here by an associate to get help with tank repair and ended up not needing the repair I thought was necessary. So, I ended up taking a chance on buying a marine fish. Although, my wife was getting tired of losing fish we'd purchased from a store in Tinley Park and was losing interest from the hobby. I explained my dilemma to the store owner and he agreed to help me win my wife's trust back into the hobby. Let's say I haven't lost any live stock since working with him. Wife is back on board and excited to redecorate the aquarium. Thanks for the great store experience and future endeavors.”
“First of all, this store looks great. I had not been at this location before till 8/2/23. I had an issue with an online order and had to go in to resolve it. From the moment the phone was picked up till the moment I got my items, the staff, store manager and district manager, all were pleasant and super helpful. Needless to say, I may just come into the store going forward. The reason why I avoid retail stores now days is because of the lack of customer service. This store knocked it out of the park. “I honestly don't understand the bad reviews based on my own personal experience. I have never dealt with the company directly. However, I have seen the results with the food. I have a Doberman who is used to eating home cooked food, but it was just too much work. She is fussy. I have tried all the premium brands and even imported food on Amazon that was not locally available. I literally bought this food out of interest and desperation. I was expecting to dump in the garbage. Was I surprised! She devoured it and has kept devouring it. The vet has commented on her excellent condition and many other dog owners as well. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. I understand that you are in a highly competitive industry worth billions of $$$. I trust my dog to choose what is best for her. You have a client for life unless to sell to one of the big conglomerates.”
“The groomers took great such care of Winston. We greatly appreciated the attention and patience that was spent. Winston is not even 1 1/2 so he is still getting used to being groomed.”

“Driving down Burnham I would often have the urge to go check out what was in the red barn since it looked so cool, the only thing that kept me from going was not having a dog yet. Fast forward I got a Rottie my fav breed and with all my other Rotties I fed them a certain healthier food, but in 2023 found out the food was now nearly impossible to find went to Teds and they turned out to be an authorized retailer of the food ?. So instantly they became a favorite pet store for me personally, not to mention they also have the best customer service in a time post pandemic when many businesses lack not only good customer service, but customer service period. It’s a smaller store, but they have an impressive variety of every category.Just to illustrate their customer service I later went to grab a big bag of dog food and they were out, but Andrew ( the guy that has in the past carried out my food to my vehicle ) advised me that they would be getting some food in the next day and that he could put my name on it to save it for me and then call me when it came in ( that alone goes above and beyond other businesses ) and sure enough he did exactly what he said and then the young lady that rung me up signed me up for their rewards account , while the other lady I didn’t get her name was advising me of when their deliveries are , so these guys truly understand the important aspects of running a business , they definitely get it. They have higher prices on some things and then some things are cheaper then the big box guys, but when you get service like that it’s best to support it by any means necessary so I will be a customer for life.”

“A friend told me about this place. Fabulous place for dog and cat food. Plant base and the environment is so laid back, you'll find yourself in there longer than expected just because they have so many natural supplements for your pet. Try them out you won't be disappointed.”
“GREAT SERVICE! I walked in with my young son just to look and walked out with some fish for his tank. They answered ALL of his questions, and there were manyyyy. They were attentive and treated him with respect. I loved the way they treated him so much that we walked out with several fish, snails and food. We are both excited to go back!”

Also I thought when I paid for services I wouldn't have to go home and do anything myself but I had to do the tick/flea treatment and to me if I'm paying for a service or something comes with that services than the servicer should do whatever comes with that”

“What can I really say about PerSmart...except they have a large variety of cat food...which is what pertains to us...and a heck of a lot if other stuff u can find for ur cats too...and also a karge dog selection if food and items...they have birds there and sometimes other adoptable small animals...and i even think i have seen cats there for adoption too...very friendly and helpful associates...and it is nice that people can also bring their pets into the store too...never used their clinic...so do not really know much about that...defenitely worth giving this place a chance....much luv...k”

“I have a dog that has diabetes and I had my prescription for medical food from my vet, but for your competitor. I am disappointed that with this prescription in hand I couldn't purchase food for my dog. I would make more purchases from your location because it's closer to me.”
“I have delivered here twice now on the dry van side and have had no issues as of yet. I have received a door right away and unloading has been under an hour each time. The way I go in you have to blind side to the dock but there is plenty of room for doing so.”
