“The cashier this early afternoon went above and beyond today. I was traveling from a campground with no ac in my car, and was beginning to suffer from the heat. He turned up the AC for me and allowed me to enjoy it for over an hour, treating me like a local. Thank you mysterious gas station man! You saved me one heck of a hospital bill!”

“Gas station is good. I miss it being open late since covid but understand. Not sure why they still advertise a "members price" for gas though as Marathon got rid of that program for a cash back program. I loved the old program and didn't realize it was ending. Lost out on so many points. The location is great though. Get my firewood and propane here too. Workers are great. Always friendly.”

“Every employee returns every bit of kindness shown. A high point on the busy days. Have watched staff handle disgruntled customers with such grace. Always clean and well-lit, shelves stocked as much as you'd expect from a convenience store.”

“My car broke down at the BP while my 17 yr old was driving it. He was very upset and stressed about it and wasn’t sure what to do. I couldn’t help for almost two hours. They were very understanding, when they easily could have had it towed! I thank them dearly for being patient and understanding! To whomever the lady working from 4 to 6, thank you! We truly appreciate you!”

“No complaints... with one exception: The first time I used the Walmart app to purchase gas at a discount (avail. to Walmart + members) I required assistance. The cashier said he had never heard of the Walmart+ discount and did not know how to help me. Eventually, I figured it out on my own and was able so save $0.10/gallon when I refueled. In my opinion, every penny counts!”

“This gas station doesn't ever have the cheapest gas, doesn't have the most competitive prices on snacks or drinks but I always end up stopping here for fuel and a drink in the morning because of the people. It's one of the few places left in Sycamore where a true Cheers type of small town relationship with the employees and even the other folks who stop around the same time every day happens.”

“Phenomenal place, excellent customer service, would definitely recommend coming in for whatever it may be whether it's convenient snacks or pumping gas for the next road trip. The guy Alex in the front is a great cashier and is very friendly. If I could rate this place a 6 star I would. I will definitely be back!”

“Good speedway The selection of stuff sold here is very good like cold drinks, snacks, candy, hot food, chips, coffee and more. Employees are friendly and interactive with customers coming into this location. The only disadvantage of this location is the restroom,It has seen better days.it can be cleaned more often and it seems like it has been vandalized in the past.Definitely recommend going to Love’s nearby for cleaner restrooms. Some services/amenities available here is truck parking,Commercial truck diesel,ATM,outdoor and indoor seating, gaming area, lottery machine. Conveniently located near I-90.”

“Favorite stop to get fast food, morning coffee or a large gas station soda. Good bathrooms and a wide variety of snacks.Used to come here for gas before I had an EV and always had lower prices compared to Elgin/St. Charles area. Diesel gas has it’s own section for easy fillup for tankers and trucks.Subway and Dunkin’ Donuts share this location with Dunkin’ having a drive-thru that wraps around the station building.”

“Had a pleasant experience here today. There was an issue with a credit owed back to my debit card and the manager, Kintsu and his staff, Azia and Joel were very adamant about taking care of it. It’s not very often you get service like this from fuel stations!”

“Wonderful place. Staff were very kind, ad patient. The Pizza is fantastic, and definitely worth a try! As Pizza by the slice goes, I give it a 5/5. It was very cheesy, throughly cooked, and price is a solid 4/5. Size is a 5/5. I've seen smaller, less filling Pizza, cost more than this place. So this Pizza gets a 5/5 from me.Bathrooms were clean and stocked.”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

Read the postTexas-born Buc-ee's is changing the way people think about gas stations and convenience stores. This chain is known for its huge stores along highways, some with over 100 fuel pumps. With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
