Reasonable prices.A year since I wrote this review, give or take, and I generally no longer go to Home Depot and Countryside Illinois because it appears multiple staff changes have caused the service in a variety of departments to diminish. They seem to be much more helpful at the local Menards. as long as I go to Home Depot in Countryside Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM I could expect reasonable help with better than average expertise. If I go at other times when I try not to if I go at all the staff working there to be poorly trained, particularly in lumber, plumbing, electricity, gardening, but the checkout is generally quick and easy.”

“I have been going to Fox Home Center since I was a kid in Frankfort. I still shop at their amazing store in Alsip. Bob, Jim, and Dennis are excellent employees and always know exactly what I need. If they don’t carry it, they will order it! You can’t beat their prices either. If you’re doing a deck or home remodel, this is a must for all of your items! Continue the great work and for keeping it a family run store.”

“This is probably my favorite hardware store in the country; and I have been from Virginia to Hawaii, and Florida to Wisconsin. They are helpful finding items 95% of the time.One drawback is also its strength - is that the store is so large.I wish they had more brands of hand tools beside workforce.I also wish there were some common items like studs, posts, or drywall inside the store if you only need a couple; then you don't need your car for checkout.Please upgrade the sound system for your piano players, and maybe benches (or more display toilets).Great store.”

Now I am a bit of a wood enthusiast, and I could not believe the awesome and all powerful almighty selection they had at store, and when I went up to the employee and asked him how much the wood was for sale he told me it was free because I loved wood so much so I opened up all my orifices for all the wood. “I went to Lowe’s in Orland Park seeking help to get a screen door installed. I had had a bad experience with a Home Depot installation I was scheduled to receive. Fortunately, I met a salesperson named Katy Sandusky, I told her my experience and she made us her special project, went out of here way and above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers, (even gave us her special project a name). She was absolutely fantastic!!! Her customer service was superb!! We hit it off immediately!! I told her how important it was for my mom to get this done since she waited so long for Home Depot to get back to her. It took one day to get someone to come out and measure and the third day to get an install. By the following week we had a new door! My mom was so pleased with her and how promptly she made everything happen she had me get on google to share our experience, I gladly obliged!! Thanks Katy for your extra special professionalism, spunky personality and amazing customer service!! We wish we could have gave our experience 10 stars because you were just that great!!???”

The manager there couldn't be bothered and was a bit abrupt, but I'll go back just for this gentleman's knowledge and help.”
