Crossroads Trading offers an alternative to fast fashion and the luxury market by selling and buying secondhand clothes. Located in Lincoln Park, the store features a clean and well-organized layout with clothes sorted by size, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Customers appreciate the trendy designer items available, although prices are higher than traditional thrift stores, reflecting the quality and brand of the clothing. Shoppers frequently find valuable pieces, such as jackets and leggings, at significant discounts. The selling process can be time-consuming, sometimes requiring a wait of 45 minutes to two hours, especially on weekends. However, the store utilizes a digital sign-in system to help manage the wait. While some customers feel that the buyers are selective about what they accept, many enjoy the trade credit option, allowing them to swap items effortlessly. Overall, the staff is noted for being friendly and respectful, contributing to a positive shopping experience. Despite some concerns regarding the efficiency of the selling process, Crossroads Trading remains a favorite among local thrift shoppers, who value its excellent selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories. Many customers recommend the store for its high-quality brands at reasonable prices, making it a go-to destination for thrifting in Chicago.
The staff was super rude. The security guard also blocks the iPad to check in and when I asked if she can move she just looked at me. The one in wicker park is not this rude… they also offered me only $40 for 7 pieces of clothing. That’s ridiculous

Amazing place, but when you look around, I’m shocked at some of the low quality brands they have. Peace & love.

Socorro was super helpful throughout the selling process. They explained how Crossroads buys and how I'd be paid (on the spot). I ended up being able to sell most of what I brought in. I'd recommend going for store credit when selling here, you get a bonus on top of what the cash option would be.
