“If you love vintage, you're going to love shopping at Strangelovely. I am so glad Kim relocated her fabulous shop from Chicago back to her hometown roots. It fits perfectly inside this historical home. Her boutique has not only fashions, but decor for the home. I missed out on two fabulous nude male sketches for my new bathroom. They were snatched up by another shopper and we had a good laugh. He was buying them for the exact same reason. One table displaying a large variety of serving pieces really caught my eye. It had something for everyones taste. It was a good mix, of silver-plate and brass. With these pieces, a novice could create a stunning table for entertaining. I only made a small purchase, but it was a favorite item. I added two soy candles to my collection in masculine scents, Tobacco and Black Pepper. I can't wait to strike a match and have the aroma fill my new house. Kim and her associates were charming and helpful. I'm looking forward to shopping again, since it is less than a mile from my home. When: February 6, 2021 Why: Shopping Local”

“I hosted a birthday party here this past weekend, and it was amazing! The space is intimate and naturally well decorated. They provide space and a table for food and have tablecloths available, and coat check in the back room.Pardon the blurriness of photos. I had to take screenshots from videos.”

“WOW am I ever glad I stopped in! Martin is an absolute delight and his shop is full of the most beautiful treasures! This is not your average junky 'antique' shop - he obviously has an eye for quality and unique pieces, and there were so many things that I would have LOVED to take home with me around every corner. Pricing generally seems pretty fair, especially for the quality of the items. I look forward to a return visit!”

“Emilia is absolutely ? fantastic!!! I came to her in hopes to find a luxe designer buyer in Chicago. I read the reviews and was confident she could help me sell. I sold an exquisite CHANEL le Boy purse and got a great fair price for it. Unfortunately, I've been buying all my stuff from apps that claim their luxe items are amazing. Only to find when the package arrives I receive less than par quality items. I am so happy I found Mr. & Mrs. Digz. Not only do they give you top dollar for your pristine condition luxe items, they are available for you to shop confidently on what you buy from them. It's not your typical consignment shop. Emilia, thank you, thank you, I have found a true stellar shop. And, you my friend are aces with your amazing customer service!!! I will forever appreciate our deal today. And, look forward to selling and buying from you with confidence. 100 stars ? for you and your shop.”

“I have never found so many pieces that I love in one trip. The items are curated so well and at fair prices. You don't have to look for hours before finding something interesting. The vibe of the place is really cute and the owner is super nice. She told me that there are new items circulating in almost daily as well. Definitely a place I want to return.I'm taking off a star because of the lighting however... although it is a fun ambience, the dim lighting makes it really hard to see what you're actually looking at. I ended up with jeans that I thought were a stonewashed blue, but were actually a kind of nasty yellow-tinted color. I'm going to try and bleach them because they're amazing otherwise! But my advice to the owner is to create better lighting, even if it's only in/near the fitting room. That would help so so much!”

“This vintage shop is beautifully curated. Not only are all of the items -- from antiques to vintage clothes --clean and pressed/polished, but they carry a range (and I mean a range!) of sizes. Prices are fair. Are they thrift store prices? No. But you're paying for the curation and care of solid vintage pieces. And, again--- the sizes!!!!”

“Such a cool shop! I recently visited this shop for the first time and feel in love with so many of their items. I ended up purchasing a pair of vintage chairs and love them in my space. My overall experience was great. The staff were super helpful when purchasing the chairs, they had them cleaned for me, and made picking them up super easy. I would highly recommend visiting this shop, you’ll definitely find something you’ll love.”

“Super cute shop in Ravenswood/Lincoln Square. I’ve purchased a few items including a vintage refurbished desk and their super warm washable wool blankets.I’m giving it 4 stars because they’ve started selling more “new” furniture and less vintage or refurbished furniture - which isn’t my thing. The staff have always been super helpful and knowledgeable about all of their products, so if you have questions they will definitely have answers.Make sure to check out this local shop, I’m sure you’ll find something you enjoy.”

“This store is a dream for any vintage collector. If you are like me who loves many eras in vintage (30s-90s) Knee Deep is the right place to find a unique pre-loved treasure. The selection is wide, impressive and CURATED! Everything is well organized by type, color, so it's easy to just dig in. The staff was very nice and friendly (besides knowledgeable!). The prices were very reasonable. I'll be coming back for more <3”

“If you are to go anywhere to shop vintage jewelry, this is the place to go. I’ve been to plenty of vintage shops around the country and the employees here at JuJu’s have made my experience here the best I’ve ever had. Diane was very helpful, and amid my indecisiveness helped me see very gorgeous pieces. I will definitely come back here next time I come to Chicago.”

“Always stop by here when I am in the area. One of the best thrift stores I have been too. Always clean and organized. You can go every day because there is always new stuff out!”

“I love this place! I especially love when vintage stores have a mix of designer items, discount store brands (like this $56 dress from the 70s), and low price bins. Any tshirt is $20+ so I only look for nicer items like work wear. I also find some nice sunglasses every now and then.”

“One of the best toy shops in the city. They offer a wide variety of well curated items across different eras from modern to vintage with very fair prices. Employees are helpful and the owner is honest, friendly, and clearly has a love for what he does. They also do art shows on a regular basis and sell original pieces in the shop. If you are a toy collector and are looking to fill gaps in your collection or are just curious and want a trip down memory lane, this is a must-visit destination if you're in Chicago.”

“Love this store - Got some shirts. Also, nice housewares. I collect the 50's and 60's animal planters and they said there would be more coming in and to stop back, so I'll keep trying.”

“Every time I visit from California I have to visit The Second Child in Lincoln Park! The women who work here are the most helpful and so kind. The store is very organized and easy to shop in; I’m also a frequent online shopper. Very rare for a children’s resale shop to carry majority of their inventory online! Highly Recommend!!”

“I am a big fan of mint home twice over. I bought a vintage Heywood Wakefield dresser from them that I love. And then I commissioned J. Shay to do a custom painting for my living room which I adore every day!”

“Super cute store. Very impressed with the vintage items and jewelry. I got the cutest Rhinestone blingy earrings. They instantly caught my eye. They had some really unique fur jackets and trench coats. The boutique is a good spot to pickup a one of a kind item. I enjoyed browsing the store. The owner was really nice and the store wasn't overcrowded. That is always a plus. I will be back as I wanna grab the this roller perfume and maybe even grab some earrings that I left.”

“The pictures shown were different from when I went. The store was quiet but some people are just shy and timid. I tired on a few items but unfortunately didn’t fit correctly. I did buy a paper link chain that I was trying to learn more about. The jewelry was my favorite to browse.”

“Great collection of vintage pottery glassware prints lamps and various eclectic decorating options . Prices are extremely reasonable. If this store was on Armitage Ave I’m guessing the prices would be 50% higher.”

“Wide variety of formal and casual clothing. Lots of Halloween costumes and accessories that were still abundant up to the holiday, not scarce like other stores' sections get as it gets closer to Halloween. Fun environment with eclectic decor”

“Loved this place! Came with a friend for a workshop and had a session with the owner to build my own terrarium. The owner was so sweet and knowledgeable, she helped answer so many questions! The concept here is incredible - it's a studio in the back, but an adorable shop in the front. I spent quite a bit of time perusing the plants, pots, jewelry and more and left with some amazing finds!”

“Hands down my favorite thrift shop. It’s not huge, but what it may lack in size more than makes up for quality. Fabulous, unique finds with excellent pricing and supports awesome cause. I will definitely support this establishment.”
