“This African boutique is truly one of a kind! The customer service was warm, welcoming, and professional, and the products are absolutely beautiful. Everything feels unique, high-quality, and carefully selected. A wonderful place to shop for pieces that stand out with style, culture, and elegance.Jazi - Las Vegas”
“Great experience! They were super helpful in recommending plants that would do well with the lighting in my home and they had so many pet friendly options that were clearly labeled. Will absolutely be back!”
“Holy cow! I think I just stumbled across my favorite store in all of Chicago. I don't think the reviews fully capture how expansive this store is. It is so beautifully and tastefully decorated—very similar to an art fair where each vendor has a designated space to showcase their work. I can't sing this store's praises enough. Postcards and jewelry galore, tons of Chicago souvenirs, art for people of all ages that you won't find anywhere else. I'm adding this store to my list of places to take my friends who live outside of Chicago.
Even if you're not in the mood to shop, I guarantee you will inevitably find something here that strikes your fancy. Or, just come for the layout of the store alone—it's incredible!!! The photos I took don't even capture the half of it. Just do yourself a favor and stop by, you won't regret it!”
“I had a wonderful experience here! It's a great local shop with high-quality products. The team is incredibly professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend them and look forward to my next purchase!”
“This is our second year back with Emily at One Strange Bird booking a Galentine’s day linocut card making class. Our group had SUCH a fun time hanging out making our custom cards. Emily is great with providing instructions and one on one help to ensure everyone is confident in their carving and printing skills. We were all so happy with our final prints! Simba the cutest dog was also a happy helper hanging out with us during our class. We will be back next year for round 3! Can’t recommend this shop and workshop enough!”
“They have the most beautiful selection of items! I went in looking for a gift for my friends birthday and found the most perfect gift, plus a gift bag and birthday card so it was a one stop shop, which is wonderful for last minute people like me 😅”
“Flying High is one of those businesses that keeps a neighborhood special. The people behind it genuinely care — about their customers, their community, and creating a place that feels welcoming and personal.
They’ve built something really unique, and you can feel the heart behind it when you walk in. Great people, thoughtful selection, and always worth stopping in.”
“This store was the highlight of my trip! It has an amazing collection of antique jewelry, incense, and perfumes, and the two owners are incredibly sweet and fun to talk to.
I was feeling a bit blue when I stumbled upon this shop, and the entire experience completely turned my day around. The store is designed like a treasure hunt, and every little corner holds a surprise, a handmade mug, a designer perfume, or a nice piece of jewelry. And can I say, this is one of the best interior designs I have ever seen in an antique shop.
I was treated to delicious tea and sushi during my visit, and we started talking about the stories behind the store and our lives. It’s always fun to meet other interesting souls while traveling.
I truly hope these wonderful owners do well in their business journey. Stores with so much heart, taste, and character deserve to thrive in this community!”
“Very cool items because it reminds me of a much simpler time from me growing up 60's-70's. Need more places like this nowadays. Staff was A-1 and owners were way cool.I shall be back in the near future. May God watch over them with their journey in life. ✌️✊️”
“This is such a fun store!! Every single surface (excluding the walking path on the floor but including the ceiling) is covered in fun things to buy! They have rugs, cookware, art, jewelry, hats, pins, lotion, stickers, and more! It was so entertaining to take my time and walk through what used to be an old house and find so many trinkets to take home. The rugs really caught my eye! They have fair prices for the pieces they sell and unique items for everyone. I could be in there all day and still want more time to explore! It’s next to lots of food places too so you can refuel for your adventure here too. Check it out!!”
“What a lovely experience! The worker in the store helped me find a delicious spirit. And she drew a beautiful apple pie on my bottle! Love that it is woman owned too!”
“This is one of Chicago’s hidden treasures! We’ve ordered custom tees from Rep Chi numerous times through the years and they never disappoint. They also offer many products that are locally sourced from candles to scented oils, you name it.
Plus, Marian is a wonderful human being and always a joy to work with. I can’t recommend them enough.”

“Raw Edge is a lovely little artisan boutique in Lincoln Square. They sell a bit of everything and it’s a great shop to bop into when you’re looking for a gift for friends, colleagues, family, or yourself! They have original art, prints, cards, jewelry, sweaters, children’s clothes, soaps, candles, ornaments, and more. There are over 65 makers represented in the shop and it’s connected to a airplane-themed coffee shop that has pastries and coffee, along with ample seating.
*Note that I’m a bit biased because they do sell some of my artwork!”

“Foursided is my favorite gift shop in Chicago, with something different and unique every time I stop in. There are gifts for literally everyone here, from kids to bookworms to cooks to nerds to art lovers. There’s jewelry and so many cute Chicago items too, and even a small local artist gallery!”

“They have their own brand of affordable organic CBD oil with delish terpenes added and I love it. It's got a citrus vibe going. They also have cool CBD things like bath bombs, balms etc.
The owner is nice and helpful too.
Cute clean store to shop for various smoking things and bedroom things if that's your thing. They offer a THCa preroll menu too.”
“Such a cool store!! I believe it is new and it’s exciting to see a new witchy vibes store in the area! They have a wide range of things from hoodies, to art, to oils, to books! I saw they even have a book club you can join and I think perhaps a tea party area too! The furniture inside is immaculate and makes me jealous, including the wallpaper! The owner even let me push a button on the antique cash register and it brought me such joy. I’m so excited to use the spices I bought, I know it’s going to elevate the flavor and add a magical twist.”
“Soo cute! Love this store! Wonderful selection of home decor, stationery/cards, fun things to make you life a little more enjoyable. Everything from cute to trashy to sweet and soft. Great staff too!”

“A very cute, locally owned, and affordable floral shop! The owners are very kind and always greet me as I walk in, asking me if I need help with anything. “I learned about Janice and her work via a Block Club Chicago podcast, and I reached out to request custom painted ornaments as a holiday gift. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish - Janice's communication was great and and the ornaments turned out fantastic, even better than I had hoped. The recipient was thrilled! Really happy to have found AponteArt and Janice's amazing artistry.”
“In the words of my niece, “when you see that bag (with Komoda label), you know it’s going to be good.”
This is our go-to for gifts for family and close friends. Sherry, the owner, is warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!”
