“I had never been to the Chopin Theatre before. We saw the one man play, "Royko: The Toughest Man in Chicago." The theatre was fantastic. There literally wasn't a bad seat in the house. The people working there were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Cozy and intimate apty describe the Chopin. Parking can be challenging, but there is plenty of street parking around the theatre. Just download the ParkChicago app and feed the meter right from the lobby. It was a great experience and I would definitely visit again.”

“It had been many years since my last visit. Spanning three floors, it seems Dalvage One has found a balance between being an architectural salvage location and an event space. Much of the first and second floors is dedicated to weddings and parties. Still a very fun placevto explore in.”

“Huge convention center! Very well maintained, good location near public transportation. I was here for MRO Americas, a big commercial aviation show. Disappointed with restrooms though, only at one location so you have to walk a lot to get there.”

“Came to area for my husband birthday. He loves old, classic, hot rods so I planned this outing for him. When we walked in we were greeted very well & got a good explanation of everything. This is a huge place that everyone can enjoy. It is 2 stories but there are several bathrooms which was a plus. All the vehicles were great & we enjoyed reading all the histories of each. This museum is much more than the cars. It is a fun nostalgic atmosphere to be in. Even got to meet & talk to owner in elevator. Recommend highly.”

We really appreciate their willingness to support our organization and help us get out of the office for some fun and interactive problem-solving. “I've gone to the Writers Museum several times. The children's book section is good, as is their hallmark timeline attraction that shows the evolution of American literature in all kinds of formats and genres. The word waterfall is a must-see, but the vintage typewriters always seem to grab my kids' attention the most. The AWM has a ton of manipulative and interactive elements, which are bathed in striking and colorful displays. New is a machine that generates a printout of a 1-, 3-, or 5-minute read paired to the genre selected.

Currently, the featured exhibit is based on gaming, with a concentration on role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. It provides good history about the industry and its impact while spotlighting several creators over the years. There are multiple activities as part of this exhibit that really appeal to children, including some cloaks and accessories for live action role-playing. In a separate room, people could play a table game or examine other works related to the exhibit.

Ultimately, the AWM pays homage to the history and contributors of American literature, being careful to go far beyond the WASP-y nature of the "canon" that dominated lit classes for too long. The museum also inspires creativity and makes writing accessible for all. A terrific value find on Michigan Avenue just north of Millennium Park.”

They offer a wet bar, which is quite handy, and the best part is the staff—they are really nice, helpful, and pleasant, which helps make our celebration wonderful and successful and stress-free because they were there to help and feel you welcome.”

“I have visited the Union League four times (once for my graduation brunch, three times for the Plank Dinner) and I have enjoyed myself each time. But I had to write a review for the amazing customer service I received last night from arrival to leaving the Plank Dinner at the Union League Club. The food and guests were wonderful, the gentlemen at the front desk were warm and welcoming, and Deondre at coat check was most pleasant as well. The shining star was Sana, who kindly explained the parking validation situation to me and made sure that my checkout process was smooth and swift. Sterling was also fantastic as he made sure to walk me to my car in front and was also friendly and professional. It is staff such as these wonderful people who make an experience worthwhile. They all deserve to be recognized.”

“I can not even begin to describe how beautiful this venue is. Our wedding day was a literal dream, and Galleria Marchetti was the most perfect venue for it. Danielle could not be more amazing to work with, she was so accommodating and made every little vision and quirk we wanted come to life. The whole entire staff executed everything so well on wedding day, the food and drinks were so good, and we got a ton of compliments on how beautiful the venue was. It was also a surprisingly warm November day, and the team was so quick to open windows and make everyone more comfortable as we broke out a sweat on the dance floor. Could not recommend this venue more, it made our black and white, old-Hollywood wedding dream come to life. Will truly never get over how beautiful and perfect our wedding was!”

“Was here for a wedding. The place is huge. Could use a revamp because it's old and noticeable. The woman's restroom is up the stairs and they are kind of steep. It's big and had 3 stalls. The men's is on the main floor. Of you need a big plane for 200+ people then this is it but don't expect an updated look. Parking isn't that great either.”

“The facility where the museum is built is very large and beautiful, inside the museum there are some samples but my humble opinion... Chicago to have so many Puerto Ricans and so many talents should have many more exhibitions to show the world, there is talent, there is creativity, the only thing missing is donate and show more of that Puerto Rican culture, I thought I would find typical costumes, some Taino samples, more history or at least a gallery of the great artists and celebrities that the island has produced, one with the music they have created, etc.”
