“hello, I was in the ace hardware in Palos Hills
Saturday 08-31-24 morning getting some stainless steel screws for my License Plates. And I met the nicest Gentlemen who helped me with the screws and he offered to put the License plates on for me right their in the parking Lot. l am so Thankful to this nice gentlemen!! Thank You!!! Thank You!! You are so lucky to have him working for you!! He should have a raise!! Thank God their are still nice people out their willing to help people!! Thank you !! Patty”
“I love ACE. First of all, big major congrats to them for holding on in a tough retailer market. I prefer smaller format stores over big box and the fact they haven't been eaten by the other is a testament to their strategy. And they often hire incredibly helpful staff. “Always helpful people whenever I walk through the front door. A while back I would say almost overly helpful haha. Store is set up to make it very easy to find what you are looking for. Been a patron to this location for about 10 years. Never left without at least buying SOMETHING even if I couldn't find what I went there for.
Only thing to critique is that the past two times that I went, (three weeks apart) the customer service desk was not manned. Even though it was not very busy. So after standing there for a few minutes both times I had to find somebody who was scrolling on their phone a couple aisles away(first visit) to help me. Second visit I had to ask someone in the workshop near the help desk. No biggie though because both times they each took the time to help me find what I needed.”
“Stopped into this location to do a "price match adjustment" and didn't have any issues. Hubby recently bought a tire jack set for $49.99 and two days later it went on sale for $29.99. We took our original receipt along with the online coupon we printed and they happily gave us the $20 (plus tax) back in cash! Very friendly staff....not our local location but definitely will patronize again!”

He had a lot of demand from multiple customers and even other workers in the yard and was helping us all out while keeping a great attitude. “I occasionally visit this Ace either because I'm in the area or if they have a good sale. It is very friendly and customer service oriented. The prices are comparable to the larger big box stores like Home Depot and say a Menards. I also like it because it has a lot of the same things as the big box stores without giant lot and store. It is more personable and more convenient. I can get in and out much faster. Big is not always better.”
“Rockler is a woodworker's paradise. This trip, I was going to buy a couple more Betsy clamps, but I got side-tracked when I saw the discount on the hand planes. After consulting with the salesman, I brought home a Bench Dog NO. 4 1/2 Smoothing Plane. What a great addition to my tools!, and for the right price.”
