“We had an unexpected incident on our way home from vacation—our very last day—when something flew up under our car and completely flattened our tires. With no notice and a car that had to be towed in, Pep Boys stepped up in a way we’ll never forget.
From the moment our vehicle arrived, the team moved quickly. At first, it sounded like they might not have our tire size in stock, but within minutes they found a comparable set of four and had our car in the shop. What could have been a major setback turned into a 30‑minute turnaround. Truly impressive.
A huge thank‑you to Chris, who took our call for help and handled everything with calm professionalism. And an equally big shout‑out to Isaac and John, who worked incredibly hard to get the new tires on and get us safely back on the road. These three men turned a stressful detour into a reminder that great people still exist in customer service.

“Having gotten my oil changed other places no one has taken care of my car or me as well as they have. I went in to get my oil changed at the time recommended thinking it was fine. Dave came and told me that my oil was really low. He took the time to tell me that Hyundais burn oil very fast and that I need to check it every thousand miles. No one has ever taken the time to teach me this. You can tell the employees there really care about the people they serve.”

“This place helped me save so much money. One of my car’s front headlights was not working and when I took it to couple of mechanics, they quoted me $60, $100 and $40. But when I went to ask in Autozone, Endy and Gio came to check my car, suggested a suitable headlight and also showed me how to install it. All was done in $15. I highly recommend going to this AutoZone and checking in case you need something related to cars”
“While I was driving from Chicago to Omaha one day in late June, I hit something hard on the expressway and blew one of my tires. I decided to have my car towed to Walmart Auto Center in Darien and I am SO glad I did. Not only did they fit me into their tight schedule, they covered most of the costs to put on a new tire and I was left with a bill for just $38. I was thrilled at that because funds were tight as I was in the process of moving from the east coast to the west coast. Thanks to these folks, I was able to safely make the journey all the way to California with 0 issues. I highly recommend their tire services!!”
