“Prices are great for the most part, things are easy to find, help is always close by, but those lines the last 3 times have been quite time consuming. But hopefully that issue will be addressed promptly. I enjoy quick in and out time's. I stay on the go. Other than that your store is absolutely wonderful and my kids love the popcorn and the duckies and bunnies. Would definitely recommend!”

“A very dear friend of mine was in need of medicine that had been called into another pharmacy closer to her residence. Unfortunately, she has no vehicle and was unable to facilitate transportation before pharmacy hours ended.Well, my friend managed to call the after-hours service. The doctor called it into a pharmacy that was open later. It was this Walgreens.We pulled through the drive through and a lovely female with a beautiful smile asked if she could help us. After we explained, she said there was no prescription at this time. As we discussed it, the call came in. And she said she got it. Unfortunately, the other pharmacy had already charged my friend's insurance. So, I asked this beautiful creature if there was a way I could get my friend's medicine tonight.She said, 'Well, you could pay full price..."I said, "Go get my friend's medicine."She said, "It'll be 77 dollars and change."My friend said, "No, no, no... I'll just get tomorrow."I said, "Shut up," to my friend. I was kind of kidding. And told the lady, "My friends needs her medicine tonight. It's important. I got it."The smile that grew across this woman's gorgeous face, with caramel smooth skin, was like the sun after ten days of storms at sea, blinding and resplendent.We got my friend's medicine. And our beautiful pharmacist continued to smile as she politely informed me in her liquid tones that I'd get reimbursed to the original payment method once the other pharmacy pulled their collective heads out of their collective derrieresMission Accomplished.”

“I go into this Circle K daily and i've never had a bad experience, the staff greets people and have always been friendly. If i had to guess a lot of these 1 star reviews are from people who frequently have problems everywhere they go.”
“I had lost a prescription and was desperate to get it filled again, however, the pharmacy was unable to get an early refill override. I had to pay for the medication out of pocket. They told me that after using a discount the medicine would still be expensive. I asked them to go ahead and fill it. When I went to pick it up it was less that $100. Bill and Jamie found a better discount which brought the cost down considerably lower. They have always gone above and beyond for me and my family. I cannot thank them enough.”

“I cannot say enough amazing things about the Thorntons on Pershing. Nette is absolutely phenomenal. From the moment you walk in, she greets me and my children with the warmest smile, every single time. She is always on her toes, attentive, and genuinely caring. Honestly, she’s a quick therapist when needed—she listens, encourages, and brings comfort without ever complaining about customers or her job. Her level of customer service is something you simply cannot train; it comes straight from her heart.
Sarah is truly heaven-sent. Her customer service is beyond anything I’ve experienced anywhere in Decatur, Illinois. My 5-year-old son calls her his “second momma,” and that alone speaks volumes. She is kind, encouraging, and intentional—she asks about your day and actually follows up the next time she sees you. That kind of care is rare and deeply appreciated.
Both of these women are a blessing beyond words. Our family is genuinely grateful for them. When the store was under construction, my 14-year-old literally cried because she thought she wouldn’t get to see them anymore. Their presence and beautiful hearts mean that much to us. We sometimes stop in just for a fountain soda simply to say hello and see if they’re working. Their smiles are like daily medicine—pure joy just from being there.
Thorntons is incredibly blessed to have Nette and Sarah, and so is our community.”
