“Great little family owned shoe store, took my mom which has abnormal feet (size 10 W, not just any Wide will do ?) & they were so attentive, helpful & friendly. ✅ Example: they asked what kind of shoe is she looking for & what size, then they kept bringing shoes out to her, for her to try on! Then when she found one, it was actually a bit tight but they actually made it wider (just for her! ?) because it's leather & can be widen out. I didn't even know they could do that! At the end, she did ended up buying them, she has been looking for shoes for more than 6 years, I'm so glad that the 1st time coming here. We found what were looking for & it only took the right place to go to; find that the shoe fits.”

I wore out a pair of Dansko clogs in less than a year. In an hour, I walked out with four pairs of shoes. “I see some of the other reviewers here were unhappy but I had a great experience at this store last week when my son and I returned the shoes we got for my wife. We originally ordered them online and the size was a little too small. The store associates were very helpful and explained they always had the style in stock. Next time I'll just buy from the store instead of the vans website. We love Old Orchard Mall and we love Vans.”

“I just picked up my slippers at John's Shoe Store. I'm happy to report that I'm completely impressed by the craftsmanship and care he put into repairing my favorite slippers. They ripped in the back and I wanted him to stitch them up so I could get a little more use out of them. Instead, he replaced the entire inside back of the slippers with new leather on both slippers and expertly sewed them in the back, making them as good as new! I highly recommend patronizing his shop if you need shoes repaired, as unfortunately, craftsmanship and pride in one's work is a dying art.”

There was also a great selection of boots and nicer dress shoes for special events. Definitely tailored more towards an older generation and the prices are very high. Employees are friendly and helpful!”

“Iqra, Rawa, and and Mary helped me out today. I got here before the rush (super sale today), around 12 noon on a Saturday. I had to make a few returns for things that I had ordered online. Iqra helped with the returns--so easy!! Rawa and Mary helped me grasp the weight of the deals: 1) 40 % off all regular priced merchandise 2) 50 % off all clearance merch 3) another 15% off for shopping in store today 4) 25% off for signing up for a card. Whaaaat?!! Needless to say I did not just "return" items today...they had some great deals and helped me track down the right size of a sweater at another store. Changing rooms were clean, everything was easy to find, and I got the discounts promised. They're some times you just feel lucky. Definitely This Was One Of Them. Thankful for all the deals and excellent customer service.”

“After 6 years of wearing a leg brace in high tops, thanks to Michael, my daughter can wear regular shoes with an insole Michael made some adjustments to. In addition her painful callouses that needed shaving is now almost gone! She is free of the leg brace and able to walk better. Above review was of Michael Fishkin who is no longer at Agony of De-Feet.”
