851 Oakton St, Elk Grove VillageToday was Bear's first visit at Oakton Animal Hospital. It's official!!! This is now his official vet. Previously went to big chain vets and I was really not satisfied but had very few choices. We moved to EGV and Bear will go to them will all his needs. Everyone was nice and caring. They did not seemed annoyed that we were there, they looked like the staff wanted to be there. They answered all my questions and concerns with the utmost care for Bear. They were truthful on what Bear needed and gave me a proper itemized procedures that needed to be done for surgery. Estimates was clear and concise. Explained the step by step procedure of what will happen next. If you're looking for a new vet, please come to Oakton Animal Hospital!

The place is very cozy and homey, and the veterinarians and assistants are all very helpful and thoughtful and take time to listen to all your concerns!

It cannot put into words how much Dr. Flahertys compassion means to my daughter and I.. especially over this past year as I watched my “son” go from spunky puma cat to a weakened, sick, cuddle buddy 😞
Dr. Flaherty openly and so kindly took such time and patience into processing every avenue to helping Sebastian live a longer senior life and that extra time with him meant the world to my 8 year old, who’s first word was cat, and I. Sebastian had been our whole world for years, and in knowing how much of a part of our family he was, Dr. Flaherty never rushed me, listened, and processed like no other vet I’ve ever met … and we’ve had animals my whole life. He even saw him to help him feel less pain after a procedure out of the kindness of his heart.
On the day I had to put Sebastian down, I went alone and it was probably one of the saddest days of my life, but dr. Flaherty sat with me and was so gentle with my cat. I can’t even express how much that meant to me.
We have a puppy now and I just know she’ll be in the best care and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank you so much to all of the team at this office for loving our pets like your own!!!

1050 Bonaventure Drive, Elk Grove VillageI’ve been to a lot of vet offices and this is one of the best. My cat was brought in due to a urinary block, and the doctors/staff were so attentive, kind, and thoroughly explained the procedure and his care. They are very communicative and kept me and my family up to date on his vitals every couple of hours. I called multiple times with follow up with questions after I brought him home, and they were always so kind and reassuring. Cannot recommend enough!
