Pet Supplies Plus Arlington Heights
67 W Golf Rd, Arlington HeightsI’ve been going to Pet Supplies Plus for years. All my pets have switched to their Redford products and they are doing great. I have senior pets and I appreciate the quality. The Arlington Heights location is my absolute favorite. I order for curb side pick up at least 3 times a month. They are quick to fill my orders and always so friendly when I pick up. Highly recommend this location especially. Now there is an ap for ordering which makes it even better.

Pet Grooming

The Grooming Lodge
1551 W Campbell St, Arlington HeightsI go here for nail trims for my dog, and I want to bring my other dog too. They don't use the clippers, the guy (Sean I think? I have a bad memory) who does the nails uses the Dremmel grinder. I think it's easier on the dogs than the clippers. He's strong and can handle the dogs easily. My dog is kind of squirmy and not happy about being there. But I am happy with the nail services here. I don't take them for grooming since they're short fur... I would but I just wash them at home.

Bark’s In Style
274 W Rand Rd, Arlington HeightsI’ve taken Charlie, our large and sassy Pomeranian, to Barks in Style for a year and a half and we couldn’t be happier! The kids even made him a birthday card. How sweet is that?!? They treat him so well, he gets excited to go and knows when we are in the parking lot, and he always looks great. This really is a wonderful place to bring your pup. It’s a kind, loving environment that really knows dogs. ❤️

Dirty Dog Grooming Spa
1818 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington HeightsWe’ve been using this groomer since 2024, and we couldn’t be happier. Our German Shepherd absolutely loves Lexi, which says everything—he’s not the easiest client, and she handles him with such patience and care.
We typically go two to three times a year for a bath, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and extra brushing, as we prefer to avoid any chemicals. We also always bring our own special shampoo, and Lexi is very accommodating with that.
She is incredibly professional and attentive. She always takes the time to ask the right questions to fully understand what can and can’t be done, and you can tell she truly listens. That level of detail and communication makes a huge difference.
You can feel how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. We trust her completely and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone skilled, thoughtful, and reliable.

March Animal Hospital
1000 E Central Rd, Arlington HeightsWe started going to March recently. We have cats and dogs and have already been here several times.
So far we are really happy here. The front desk people are always friendly. The vet techs are always kind to our pets and knowledgeable. We have seen more of Dr. Sheridan in our appointments. I think because he is newer to the practice but I don't believe he's a new vet. He's very knowledgeable. He's also to the point and explains things thoroughly.
Great experience at March so far. I would say their prices are in line for what things cost in Arlington Heights. Nothing is cheap here, but I would say the prices are what I would expect.

Radiocat
312 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington HeightsMy furbaby isn't scheduled until Feb but the liaisons that have been helping me through this so far have been great. They are very informative, knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. They sent all of the paperwork for tests prior to his appt to me and to my vet so we know exactly what to do to get him prepared for his visit. My baby had his treatment and I couldn't be happier with everyone involved. Angela was excellent in working with my vet to get all of hus tests and xrays done so he could keep his appt. Plus in case they didn't get them dine in time she held a spot for him in the next rotation. Angela kept in contact with me and even called to let me know everything was received and he was ready to go. At Radiocat Laura too was excellent. She was great with him and text me daily on his progress plus she answered any and all questions without hesitation. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my furbaby.

Arlington Heights Animal Hospital
412 W Algonquin Rd, Arlington HeightsAs always Dr. Flaska is kind and caring with our Chocolate Lab. She loves him and is very vocal about him coming in to see her. He is always patient and thorough with his exam. He listens to my concerns. We have worked together to get through many bacteria infections. He is clear with instructions and tries different approaches. This is our third Lab we have taken there over the years. The ladies at the front desk have been efficient,, tolerant of a barking nervous pup and when I have been in distress they have been very compassionate.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Jimmy D's District
1718 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington HeightsExcellent food, and I can't say enough about the service. Fast and friendly. The live music from a band called Bandter was fantastic. Not sure if it's a house band, but it SHOULD be!!! Great sound, great covers, and the lead guitar player simply shreds during the solos. Great time, and we'll be back for sure!

Pure Juice Cafe
24 S Evergreen Ave, Arlington HeightsI ordered a child’s Alex drink and a Malibu Mango - both with added protein. The drinks were good but the price was terrible. I was shocked at the $31.98 price for a 4oz and 8oz drink. I’m sorry but I won’t be back.

The Bakester
13 1/2 W Davis St, Arlington HeightsAn amazing High Tea and experience in NW Suburbs. We went there on a Sunday for a family Bday. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time as i don't think they do walk ins. We also asked for vegetarian options for the sandwiches which they honored and everything was so good. So good that you cannot try everything out in 1 go. We tried 3 different kind of teas. All were amazing. The decor in the restaurant was so cool. All flowery. There was Bridal shower going on there too. Definitely a place you should go. We tried Cucumber and cream cheese Turkey, havarti cheese, spinich and artichoke spread on croissant Smoked salmon, cream cheese, and dill sauce with spinach Avocado sandwiches Scones Served with Cream and Berry Preserve French Macarons and cookies

SCRATCHBOARD KITCHEN
5 W Campbell St, Arlington HeightsI’ve been to Scratchboard Kitchen a couple of times now, and both visits have been absolutely fantastic.
The food is fresh, creative, and delicious, and you can tell there is a lot of thought and care put into everything they do. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming — the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable.
A special shoutout to my favorite server, Laine! I was lucky enough to have her both times I visited, and she is truly exceptional. She has that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering, makes wonderful recommendations, and has such a fun, genuine personality. She makes you feel less like you’re just being served and more like you’re being welcomed.
Great food brings people in, but great people bring them back — and Laine is definitely one of those people. Looking forward to many more visits!

Lola's Pizza & Tiki Bar
1612 E Rand Rd, Arlington HeightsThis place is a fantastical oasis of tiki drinks and bar food of the highest caliber. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and were quite helpful in navigating the myriad jucies and liquors and countlesss other ingredients and flavors to bring us the perfect drinks based on each of our individual preferences. The atmosphere is that of an old school tiki bar and clearly the decor was curated with great investments in time and expense. It does cost more because it delivers more. I will be returning.
