βThis is by far my favorite Dollar Tree. Itβs very organized, clean, well-stocked, and the employees have always been helpful and pleasant. Special kudos go out to Chris, the assistant manager, who is consistently working about the store, opening boxes, placing items on shelves, running the cash register, and greets everyone he sees.β

βEvelyn is a treasure with a smile that lights up the store. Not sure why my past review is gone but it wasn't a pleasant experience. It's about her character that overfills to her work ethic and situational awareness.β
βShoutout to Lynn for great customer service. She thoughtfully separated my food from my cleaning products and even double-bagged the household items without me having to ask. She was polite, efficient and clearly attentive. Itβs the simple things that make a difference and this really made my day.β
βCame on Valentines Day with our family and the owner stopped us to vote for our favorite decorated booth and gave us $100 swap bucks (free money to spend!) Our kids had a blast finding stuff to spend it on and got SO MUCHβ
βGreat store, very clean and has the best deals!! Great selection of items too, easily the best in the area. Also, the cashiers at the front had superb customer service - I believe their names were Jay and Pete. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area!!!β

β1st time in store, they have a lot to offer, very busy store but it was difficult to find things because it was not very organized when I visited. Again a lot of foot traffic. Customers pick up and place things out of order but it was disorganized. I might have to go again.β
βWe was able to get what we needed but the wait time was crazy. The cashier ( name tag said GET) called 3 times for help and when the other cashier came she had an attitude. Before I left I let her know that she was doing an amazing job despite the lack of help.β
βIt is a store with a variety of products at affordable prices (toys, clothing, shoes, exercise items, art supplies, food, snacks, makeup, etc.), whether to buy or just to hang out (you will hardly not buy something ). It is a place where you are very likely to find a gift without spending a lot.β
βShout out to Myth and Heather!! They were extremely patient, and helpful with our purchases, and looking for dumplings. They really handled the crowd control, and super friendly. Thank you Myth and Heatherβ

βI'm happy that the Five Below in Melrose Park is receiving an update recently, considering that surrounding Five Below locations have already been updated. This location, which is constantly busy with customers, never considered getting an update until now, and they are using the old Carter's building to extend the Five Below location just as an FYI.β
βAs a Dollar Tree it's solid, shelves are stocked and it's kept really neat and clean. The reason I'm giving it five stars is because of the wonderful, wonderful lady at the register! I wish I had asked her name but I just want her to know that I think she made everybody's day a little bit brighter and happier with her positive and kind personality! I'm coming back to this location even though it's out of my way simply because of how nice everyone is there ? Btw it's Thursday afternoon/2:30pm so the store knows about which employee I'm referring:)β
βThere's a lot of stuff to buy at good price. Halloween decorations, Christmas decorations. Gift bags, birthday cards, plates, glasses, mugs. Trash bags, ziploc bags, home cleaners, air fresheners. Dog and cat food, and more.β
βUpdate: Thursdays are now $1.00. It is a great place to shop for bargains. I love coming here and looking for stocking stuffers and small gifts. I have gotten press on nails, makeup, party plates (bundles), clothing, car accessories, toys, pet toys/treats, food items... and more... they even have a refrigerator section with cheeses and other great items. I love the people who work here, they are kind and helpful. If you're looking for something specific they will take down your phone number and let you know when they have some.β

βI recently visited a Dollar Tree location, and I was genuinely impressed by how clean and well-organized the store was from the moment I walked in. Many people expect discount stores to be a bit cluttered or chaotic, but this Dollar Tree completely defied that stereotype. The floors were spotless, the aisles were tidy, and every shelf looked thoughtfully arranged, making it incredibly easy to find exactly what I needed without feeling overwhelmed.
What stood out most was how neatly the products were grouped by category. Seasonal items were displayed in an attractive, easy-to-browse layout, while everyday essentials like cleaning supplies, snacks, and personal care items were clearly labeled and fully stocked. It made the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable, almost more like a boutique discount store than a typical dollar shop.
The checkout area was also clean and efficiently managed. Even when a small line formed, the staff moved things along quickly, all while keeping their stations organized and free of clutter. That level of attention to detail really added to the overall positive atmosphere of the store.
Overall, this Dollar Tree exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness, organization, and thoughtful layout made shopping simple, fast, and surprisingly pleasant. Iβll definitely be returning.β

βI am giving 5 stars to the manager, tall cashier dude that's always present, and the older woman that typically closes because these workers bust their humps!

I was in this evening around 6:48 pm. The cashier ( no name tag) wearing white jogging pants and a black top should be taught to not be holding a customer's money and texting... I wanted to scream from how unprofessional it was just standing there staring at her for what seemed like FOREVER to please put her phone down and finish my transaction. As soon as I walk up she's just texting completely ignoring me and my entire interaction was awkward. I look forward in seeing the manager whenever I walk in as she is incredibly helpful and pleasant and I could've right there and then called for her however she was busy putting the price tags on throughout the entire store trusting this young lady and this cashier should be written up. Next time if it happens again I will be certain to say something. If it were my job, I'd be out of a job, period. I did not appreciate spending $43.00 to give her $45.00 and wait forever to get my change that probably was about 3 minutes total just staring at her and she gave no care because obviously it's welcomed. I have seen the manager at this location train and she is stern, hard pressed while being gentle and extremely patient so I know it is not happening in her presence. We all have things going on at home, etc but that's what a break is for!!
As a professional, please do not respond with, " I'm sorry to hear this. Please email me or please understand.... ( Whatever reason is given it is not good enough)"
In my customer service career as a young cashier I had to learn the hard way by receiving a write up, having my phone confiscated by management until the end of my shift or being sent home without pay.
I do understand that this generation is pretty much... RELAXED to a certain degree but it is common sense, " the customer service is the first contact, is responsible for creating that warm and inviting impression to keep customers coming back vs to their competitors, are responsible for adhering to their employment hand book guidelines of what is acceptable and isn't and the customers wanting to come back purchasing inventory is what creates profit and raises"
Please, get it together. Give your Manager and the old lady a raise as they have been the consistent employees in that store since I moved to Wood Dale years ago. Stop hiring anyone and if you do ensure they have common knowledge of what is expected or train them properly so that these young folks understand.β

βOne of my favorite places to go for some old-fashioned candy bars, assorted candies or some late-night snacks. The staff is always really nice to talk to. I think they have done a much better job clearing the isles. Everything seems to be in the right place now. The store itself seems to be cleaner nowadays.β
βThis place has been around for 8 years and how am I just finding out about this gem?! I found the same brands I buy at Discovery for even less here. I found adorable comfy clothes and some beautiful home decor items. The fragrances arent the best but they have a wide selection to try. You may be able to find one for really cheap that you like!They have a wide selection of coats, sweats, yoga pants, shirts, dresses, shoes.I was very impressed with the variety of vases, mirrors, art, and decorative items. Don't worry about the employees since they work long hours and you just have to be grateful that they are there and this place exists. They may not be the most helpful but it's not the biggest deal.β

βIt is well located, ample parking, and the best thing is that it is stocked, since many Dollars lack merchandise, but there is no shortage here. The store is clean and well serviced.β
βOverall 4/5 starts, great store low prices, some lady kept throwing stuff away that doesnβt work there, and someone said βsheβs catholic, what do expect!β Which made me crack up. Great gag gifts and accessories, overall 4/5!β
βI was driving home from a doctorβs appointment and my phone was about to run out of battery.
I was waiting for a red light to turn green and busted a right into the parking lot. Never been here before, but very clean and organized was my first impression.
Ended up getting a cell phone charger, along with some chips and water.
Friendly staff, and had a good selection. Would visit again when in the area!β

They had little pop up laundry bags which is convenient since I am on the road a lot and usually just throw my laundry in a Totes bag but maybe specified laundry bags will be better
They also had a little purple travel kit with tooth brush bobby pins bandaids and at least 4 antiseptic wipes among other things.β
βFor a family dollar this location had tons of variety. Women's and kids clothes, mens clothes, toys, food, gift supplies, etc. They have way more items for sale then other locations. Friendly staff.β
