“Store is small but well stocked. Weekend specialties include carnitas....delicious! Tamales and pozole...not so much. Mom and pop shop with employees who have stood the test of time. Prices have gone up a bit so I don't go as often.”
“All the people that work at the store are super friendly and very helpful in finding things I need I have been going to the store for over 32 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else they have a variety of different types of food and drink non-alcoholic they also have different types of knick knacks stuffed animals they have a variety of different types of everything they do not carry meat like a butcher but there is sandwich meat and stuff like that”

“I truly like this store! They have different kinds of variety of Mexican food. I especially like their gorditas! Made fresh everyday, especially their dough. They have beans with cheese, asado, and carne molida. It's delicious! (I just wish they would drain the grease from the carne molida. Sometimes it's a bit greasy.) Other than that, it's good food!! I also like their variety of chips and beverages. The owner is very nice and helpful! Also the employees are nice as well. Definitely worth the trip for good and hot Mexican food!”

“First time coming to this Aldi and it is a standard Aldi store which in this case that's great! Store is mainly self checkout focused which to me is a plus. I usually only get a couple things anyway but there is still a regular checkout lane.”

“Supermercado Casa Blanca in Joliet is OMG the best hidden gem! Everything we order from them is amazing - I just wish their guacamole had a bit more flavor, like salt and lime. But back to raving about this place... their steak tacos are incredible, the rice is delicious, and the refried beans are to die for! We recently tried the tampiquena tacos and oh my, the flavors just jump all over your mouth! I absolutely love, love, love them - anytime I'm craving authentic Mexican food, Casa Blanca is my go-to. I even pass up Chipotle for them, and I'm a huge Chipotle fan! Stop reading and just go get some, trust me, you won't regret it, I promise!”
“The new owner is a really nice guy who actually cares about his customers more than making money. I saw him myself caring for the kids at gompers and this is the type of business we need! His prices are not very low but low enough for you to get a delicious treat! From ice cream to fresh prep treats that are waay cheaper than most stores. A cup of elite is $2.49.... If you haven't stop pls do so!!!! I hope he stays in the neighborhood for a long time!!!”

“You can find and buy anything you need for shopping. In out registers. Fresh meat and cut to your needs. They have a weekly newspaper ads for sales. It just one block away. There hours are just right .big parking space. 3 exits, and have shopping carts.”

“So I am leaving this review for a shoutout for Chris one of the employees that was working on register while I was shopping at this location. As I was looking for a wallet which I could not find in the store, he was ringing up another customer when a gentleman walked inside and rudely started asking him where something might be. Chris handled this very professionally and not only directed the guy where he need to go but was able to tell him exactly how much it cost. Chris then whent on to help direct me exactly where I needed to be and 2 others all in the Matter of 5 minutes. He was very calm, respectful and knowledgeable”

This place has been a lot of businesses over the years but Sunshine Mart has been the best. ?”
