“This is my review for this particular location, and not for usps as a whole, thats another story. As everyone knows going to the post office can sometimes be unnerving. Ive had to drop off packages at several where I gulped in line because I felt like I was bothering them simply dropping something off, seeing how others were being talked to. Like the employees absolutely did not want to be there. If you know, you know.
This location however is different. Ive never felt like I was bothering anyone here. Most of them are actually very friendly, Patrick in particular always has a smile for everyone. Even the few that aren't particularly friendly are absolutely not unfriendly either, just more down to business but still helpful when asked for it.
All in all, they all seem to know their job and even multitask and work well together. As far as post offices go they seem to have their stuff together and I absolutely recommend it over any others in the area.”
“I grew up closer to the La Grange location, so I always gravitate to that post office.... it sucks.
The customer service and positive energy at the SUMMIT location is 10/10. Great team. Thank u for your patience and help getting my stuff shipped, and helping me get my passport.”

“I want to give credit to the postal workers here. They are always polite and truly focus on whoever is at the counter. Yes, the lines can get long sometimes, but that’s only because they take the time to actually help the person in front of them. Even when people ask some pretty senseless questions, the staff stays completely professional and doesn't lose their cool.
I’ve also noticed there aren't any Spanish-speaking workers at the counter, but there are always Spanish-speaking people waiting in line who can translate. It’s a shame that when there's an obvious miscommunication between a customer and the worker, rarely does anyone in line ever steps up or volunteers to help translate. Those who do help are always thanked by postal worker.
Honestly, over the years, I’ve noticed that the people who complain are usually just in a rush and shouldn't have waited until the last minute to come in. Whatever you're mailing might be important, but we all just need to have a little patience.”
“I am always stressed to the max when coming to the post office but my lovely new friend Cherie that works there was so calm and helpful. I had to repackage all of my things twice so I saw her interacting with a lot of people that came through and she is truly such a sweet and kind lady. Also very knowledgeable about her job. Will gladly drive out of the city to come to this post office again.”
“I come to ship my orders out here and never had a bad encounter with staff. They however work at their own space. Depending on the day the lines can go to the door and take over 15 minutes to finally get to the front. Putting time aside to make a trip here is key , and having patience is needed. Appreciate this place for serving the community anyways!”
“I actually drove past two other post offices to come here. It's fifteen minutes from my house, while the other two are less than five. I did this because those offices had extremely low ratings, even if you account for a skewed ratio (generally, unhappy customers rate businesses far more often than happy customers).
I was not disappointed. All I found here was friendliness and efficiency. Darlene was an absolute gem. I honestly did not have the energy to deal with someone grumpy today, and while I don't begrudge anyone having a bad day, I just wanted to see a friendly face, especially since I had an unusual mail request.

“The lovely elderly lady who did our passports was just so kind gentle lovely spoke some words of wisdom to us and said if I was teaching my girls to write cursive I said yes she mentioned how sad that schools are not showing that anymore to students and she said make sure to practice because next time that you're here you will get to sign your own passport. She mentioned I won't be here anymore to witness but for sure you both will be back and that made me sad her saying that but what's overall customer service was amazing”

From the moment I walked in, she greeted customers with a warm smile and a positive attitude—something you don’t often see in government offices where interactions can sometimes feel rushed or unfriendly.
Christy took the time to make sure all of my documents were filled out correctly and that everything was handled with care. She was patient with me and my baby , professional, and truly went the extra mile to give me peace of mind with such an important mailing.

“I have visited this location several times and received good customer service. Although the store is very small it has always been organized. There is not plenty of parking so you might have to park a few spots away. However, there is handicap accessible parking for those who need it. The limited parking is probably the only thing I don't like about this location.”

There is free visitor parking just north of the building. Walking time to post office maybe 4 mins. Overall I had a great experience.”

“This is my favorite post office, Tiffany & David are the best & have gone over & beyond since I began mailing my packages from here in 2020. I sell & ship rare plants & they've always gotten to their destination when I mail from this post office. I've had issues at other locations but this one has consistently followed through & been super nice. I'll always come here & am grateful for them!”

“EVERYTIME I frequent this place, I'm treated with such high levels of respect, & they helped me set up my p.o. box. In thankful. The lady whose picture is shown here is ALWAYS pleasant, & helpful. Even the men are courteous, & complimentary. I'm thankful that we all have a postoffice near us. The place is neat, & have an array of shipping boxes, & gift cards. Thank u all, & keep up the good work.”
“I requested passport service and the young man, clerk 62 was very helpful. He provided step by step instructions on completing form, what was needed, cost, and they could take photos. I was very impressed with care he provided.
I took a train downtown to a passport service business and didn't get the attention or care that clerk 62 provided. Secondly cost downtown was about $600, cost at post office was $160

“This has to be the most no nonsense post office in the area. You bring your packages, they take your packages, you then leave! Couldnt ask for better service. In and out always even if its busy! Try that at bridgeview. A stop at bridgeview usually takes 15-30 minutes in line then an attitude on top of that from the woman that her name starts with V. Thank you worth for easy and pleasant transactions!”

“I have been coming here for the last 10 years that I lived in this area and never had an unpleasant experience. I went in today after looking at the hours and then seeing these bad reviews, so I had to leave this now. I was in there alone, I stood aside because I had to fill in some information that the attendant was so nice to show me for sending certified mail. Mind you there were 30 minutes left til close. And then SIX people walk in, and she kicks in to high gear all the while maintaining her pleasantness. When she sees I was done she lets me come back up and finish my transaction. Her name was LEASES (I hope I spelled her name correctly) and she was so pleasant and so speedy (the lady behind me also complimented her), and a perfect employee to have had instructed me WHILE attending to six other people (which of course always happens right before close). Polite to everyone while I filled my paperwork, and remained polite to me with all my questions. Thank you!”
