“I’m surprised by all the negative reviews. I am always treated with nothing but kindness when I visit this location. The postal workers are so friendly and helpful. Love this post office!”
“Perhaps I’m used to the DMV-level of impatience that I’ve previously experienced at USPS locations, but the woman working on 7/10/26 (unfortunately didn’t catch her name) was an absolute rockstar. Not only was she patient with those that came in with questions, but she was kind, efficient, and taught me a few things about sending certified mail. Will continue coming here from now on”
“Made an appointment to come and apply for my daughter’s passport. It was quick and easy. Already came with passport photos which I took on my phone with an app. Then I just printed them at Walgreens for $1.99 rather than paying $16.99. Already save cost there since purchasing a passport can be expensive.”
“The postal workers at this location are genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever met. They go above and beyond to help translate for their non-english speaking customers, and they are just overall very kind.”
“I am sorry I didn't get her name but I received the best customer service from the clerk on 11-4-25! She should teach a class on how to treat customers! Thank you for brightening my day!”
“I always choose this location when I can! The gals that work here are kind, efficient, and work hard. I’m glad to have a great post office so close to home”
“Virganice was who helped me. (Sorry if I misspelled her name.) She was legit the most helpful and friendly postal employee I’ve ever met. I have no idea why the reviews are so low here if she’s working. She’s a keeper.”
“This is the post office I had the best experience in so far! AND JERRY IS THE BEST! He is very patient and kind and is beyond helpful and thoughtful to the customers.”

“My first time at this facility. The security officer from the main lobby was help and friendly. The staff at the USPS customer service lobby were also friendly and answered my questions. A great experience overall.”
“I am always stressed to the max when coming to the post office but my lovely new friend Cherie that works there was so calm and helpful. I had to repackage all of my things twice so I saw her interacting with a lot of people that came through and she is truly such a sweet and kind lady. Also very knowledgeable about her job. Will gladly drive out of the city to come to this post office again.”
“Last month I came by to receive my two packages and first off, why are the opening hours so inconvenient? But the lady behind the counter was nice enough and I did end up receiving my packages so it wasn't too bad.”
“I ship a lot of packages (about 10 a month) and I always have a pleasant experience at this post office. In fact, I travel out of my way on the bus to get here (my closest USPS is in Uptown on Broadway, iykyk lol). The staff here is patient, kind, and competent, and provides excellent service consistently (in my experience). Since this is not my neighborhood, I don't have experience with mail delivery issues or anything like that, but I do know that mailing packages here is a PLEASURE compared to some other locations, with a much higher level of friendliness, successful package processing, and also shorter lines.”
“Busy during lunch hour. Big open space. I had a sale I need to ship and want to get a receipt so I waited on queue to get to a counter. When I got there she told me that I could use the kiosks for it. I didn’t know but glad to. I asked her what option to choose/use, she said “pre-packaged” something.”
“Staff are helpful and pleasant. Despite the Trump and Dejoy administrations attempts to destroy and privatize the USPS the people who work there continually strive to do their best.”
“Saw all the bad reviews so thought I’d share. They were quickly serving and moving people while I was here, friendly and even conversing with regulars as they came through. My guy helped me send a priority letter.”
“Came in on a Monday around 5:30 pm before closing. Not a long line. I was just dropping off some packages. The lady at the desk was friendly and I was in and out in 10 minutes.”
“The clerks were friendly and did their best to work through the long line quickly. Bike parking just outside the entrance makes this an easy stop when running errands.”
“Parking can be a challenge at times since it’s located between resident homes. Best to use your hazard lights when parked in a non parking spot. The closer it gets to 3pm and closing time theres more traffic due to 2 schools being let out so be patient. The full time employee that works there is amazing. She’s very informative and is straight to the point. Treat her with respect and kindness & you’ll get treated the same.”
“I went to drop a package off for shipping this morning, and it went smoothly. The clerk working was helpful to a couple of other customers there that needed assistance. The greeting card rack could've used a bit of love, but otherwise this is a perfectly fine place to drop off packages :)
Also, I confirmed with the clerk that they actually close at 12 on Saturdays, not 12:30!!!”
“I went to this location about half an hour before closing on a Friday (I know ... it was the earliest I could get there) in order to send a package of documents internationally. I had reviewed the options online, but still wasn't sure what the best shipping option would be. The USPS worker who helped me was patient with my questions and informative in her explanation of the options; she explained clearly the delivery timelines for different methods and which offered signature on delivery (which I needed). I stepped aside to complete the necessary forms; because of the time of day, of course, several people passed through while I was there, and she was able to help everyone get through the line before closing. (There was one woman who came in and did try to skip the whole line and went straight to the counter while there was a customer being assisted, and the USPS worker -- rightly! -- told her she'd need to get in line like everyone else.) Post offices get a bad rap for service, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this location for help with any shipping in the future.”
“I’ll be honest, not sure why this location (if accurate on prior reviews) has such a bad rap! This review is for the post office located on Irving Park and Narragansett, Chicago, Illinois. My personal experiences here have been positive. Just recently, I had to track down a package, and I was helped with outmost respect. Celeste was specially thorough and understanding with my situation! Thank you!”
“No idea why this place has a bad rep, went there today, was out in less than 5 minutes, the lady working the counter was super sweet and everything was well stocked/clean. Nice post office”
“My experience at this post office is always good. I have mailed many packages and letters from this office and the clerks have looked and acted professionally. Sometimes they may be understaffed and a little patience is required but that goes on everywhere. Also, I have never had a problem getting my mail delivered.”
“Anton is always helpful, positive and genuinely makes me feel supported. I drive past other post offices to this location solely because of his customer service. No cap he’s the goat”
“I had an issue with a large parcel that couldn't be delivered. I called and opened a ticket and believe it or not the Post Office actually responded. Two days later my parcel was delivered to the mailroom in my apartment building.
Total surprise!”
“Went here to mail something because a nearby post office was closed—was a little worried because've the reviews but the employees were very helpful and fast. Had a pleasant, easy experience and would come back.”
“Every time I come in this location they are friendly, fast and efficient. There is always a smiling face. I've been coming here lately for my small business to drop off my orders to customers. Never a problem. There is a post office not too far from this location that needs improvement but no issues with this location at all.”
“I have hated all of my Chicago’s post office experience (21 years here) but Toni makes this location different! She is kind, polite and efficient; treats all clients with care and attention! Thank you Toni!!”
