“My husband and I had a wonderful experience purchasing a new mattress from our Sales Rep Jack Champion. He is incredibly knowledgable and we appreciate that he took the time to understand our needs while keeping us within our budget. Thank you Jack! We returned to make a purchase for my mother and worked with Ron this time. He made the sale go smoothly and quickly while staying in our budget. Thanks Ron!”
“Honestly one of the most unique and thoughtful gift shops around Illinois. You walk into a welcoming warm and fragrant shop full Of home decor unlike anything else around. Housewarming gifts, gift ideas, and even clothing. Ive purchased purses, clothes, jewelry, perfume, watercolor pants, and even adorable mushroom themed coffee cups. They lend to the whimsical and uniqueness of what I love in a small business.”

“Beautiful gift and home goods store. They have a very wide variety of decorative items for homes that were reasonably priced. There were also several items on sale so you can find deals if you look for them.”

“Walking into Walter E. Smithe in Geneva, I was simply hoping to find furniture for my living room and kitchen. What I found instead was an experience that completely transformed my home. From the moment Gary Louis greeted me, there was no pressure — just a calm, welcoming presence and a genuine desire to help. Our connection felt immediate, and I instinctively knew Gary was going to help me create the home I had only dreamed about. Gary thoughtfully guided me through sofa options, and somehow he quickly understood exactly what I was looking for. He even brought fabric samples to my home so I could see everything in my actual space and choose the perfect one. We talked through my vision, my budget, colors, scale, placement — everything from the kitchen table and sofa to a sofa table, side chair, sideboard for my 65” TV, and eventually bar stools. A few days later, I returned to the store and was amazed to see that Gary had created a digital room design showing a complete layout of the pieces we discussed. As we talked, he adjusted sizes and placement in real time until everything felt exactly right. What truly impressed me was Gary’s incredible eye for design. Based on the sofa fabric I selected, he pulled pillow fabrics I never would have considered on my own — and they were absolutely stunning. He had thoughtfully prepared options for tables, chairs, stain colors, fabrics, and accent pieces, making the entire process feel seamless and inspired. Within just a couple of hours, Gary helped me create two rooms more beautiful than I could have imagined on my own. And when the furniture was delivered, Gary was there to bring everything together. Seeing it all in place was breathtaking. My home now feels warm, beautiful, peaceful, and inviting in a way I never thought possible. I am deeply grateful to Gary Louis for his kindness, talent, vision, and care. He truly made my dreams come true.”
“This adorable place in my hometown accommodated me same day over the phone from another state. I called with only a slight idea of what I was looking to order for my mother’s birthday. They put together a beautiful arrangement in just a few hours and allowed a family member to pick it up on my behalf. As a business owner myself, I appreciate the swift communication and professionalism.”
“I genuinely cannot say enough about Rick and Ron and the great customer service they provided me. And they are as personable and enjoyable to do business with as you could ask for. I plan on directing anyone I know who needs a mattress to their store. Thanks again, fellas, and God bless you and your families! - Pat”
“Went to look for a few chairs and a table and was greeted by Briana. She was very sweet and took me around to see some pieces I was looking for I told her I’d come back and when I did she took super good care of my husband and ordered our choices Can’t wait for delivery day”
“Over the last couple of years, I have purchased quite a bit of furniture and many other items from the Geneva Commons Pottery Barn during my full-house renovation. I cannot express how pleased I have been with the customer service. Every sales associate I have worked with has been friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the merchandise. What impressed me most today was when one of the associates remembered me from four months ago and asked how the pillows I had purchased were working out. They worked out perfectly! With her help, I found exactly what I was looking for. My renovation and remodeling are now complete, but I’m sure I’ll be back to shop for something in the near future. Thank you, Geneva Commons Team, for making every shopping experience such a positive one! You are truly an exceptional team!”
Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
