“Jennifer, the clerk at the Geneva Post Office went out of her way to reach out to another postal facility regarding a certified letter that was mailed to me June 23, 2024 and I have not received as of July 7, 2025. She sent at email to another postal facility asking them to investigate this issue and to reply to her email with their findings as soon as possible. Thank you Jennifer.”

“I hesitate to comment about this little post office, tucked away in sleepy Eola, because the word just might get out that there isn’t a more friendly, competent, and thoroughly wonderful experience to be had throughout the entire United Postal system than right here! Thanks to Adrianna, my packages are always delivered with care and in an expedited fashion. If only all of USPS functioned this way, what a wonderful world it would be. Keep up the great work!”

She walked me through the boxing and shipping process, gave me suggestions to keep things affordable, and was patient and very kind. “This location honestly deserves a higher rating. I've primarily used the 2600 Oak St in the beginning since I live closer to that one, but every time it was the worst experience I've ever had in customer service. The clerk who works at this location is very nice and knowledgeable. Absolutely no issues when I come here. I can't recommend this location enough. I've recently been doing a lot of eBay shipments and it's always a smooth process when I come here.”

“I love this post office and the folks who work here. I live in St Charles and go out of my way to come here; the St Charles post office is horrendous, they close during the afternoon when they want, they are rude and take forever even when dropping a simple package. Porsche and Brian are always friendly and helpful every time I come in to drop off items-which I do weekly.”

“While I read all the reviews for this post office, I have to laugh.
I see so many complaints about the employees.
I go there frequently and have never had an issue with any employees. They are always very courteous to me. Sometimes when I am in a hurry and there is a longer line, I will use the self-service station. No one showed me how to use it. It walks you through menus as to what is needed. Weighs the package and gives you shipping options.
The employees here do not deliver your mail. They take your prepackaged items to assist with postage; how much it will cost for your different options.
They are not Packaging experts. They are not trained in how to package your items. (that I am aware of) They are there to assist you with the options for shipping and postage.
Assuming most people would know who, the package is being shipped to and where they live for the return address. But reading some reviews it is quite questionable to me the common knowledge to ship a letter or package. Who you are and who it is going to.

There are many videos to help if you do not know how to send a package or letter.
I have never done their job. I can see sometimes they are doing other things than assisting customers. Does this mean they need to stop their jobs tasks?
For just one week try to put yourself in their place.
I do work in customer service and would like to believe that I do a very good job. Unfortunately, I/you cannot please everyone.
There are rules and regulations at USPS. They are doing their best to assist all customers.
Please give them a break and be kind. kindness is contagious”

“Had a package say it was delivered but we got nothing, so we filed a Claim with USPS and Patsy with this office got back to us in lightning speed. She left a message saying that she would look into it. A few days went by and it’s now the weekend, low and behold a mail carrier knocks on our door with the missing package. Patsy even called to update us after the fact, Wonderful service! Thank you Patsy!”

“Overall, my experience with this Post Office has been excellent. My daughter and I recently applied for our passport books here, and the process was smooth, comfortable, and efficient. Antoinette stepped in to assist us while the regular passport clerk was helping another customer, and she was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and so personable that she made us feel like we were being helped by a good friend or neighbor.

Having grown up in New York City and lived in several states along the East Coast and down to Florida, I can honestly say this is one of the best Post Offices I have experienced. I have never had a problem coming here, getting what I need done, and leaving satisfied. The employees are consistently working and moving, they know their jobs, and I especially appreciate that they actually interact with customers, laugh, joke, and seem to enjoy working together.

There are only a few areas I believe could improve the experience: better air conditioning, especially during hot summer days and heat waves; a small bench or seating area for seniors and customers with mobility limitations; and better staffing coverage during peak hours, particularly lunchtime and after work. Like many Post Offices, breaks and lunches sometimes happen during the very hours when customers need the most clerks available. Having additional coverage during those times could help keep the lines moving even faster.

Other than that, this team deserves recognition. And while I’m sure some customers have had less-than-perfect experiences, after reading some of the reviews, I have to say, with a little humor, that I think we may be a bit spoiled here in the Chicagoland area! You have Post Offices that stay open late and even locations open seven days a week. Coming from the East Coast, I had never heard of such a thing! Sometimes you don’t realize how good you have it until you’ve experienced the difference elsewhere.”

“I arrived at Streamwood United States Postal Service. I went to my mom's house and my mom said please mail my box and also my mail. If customers bring boxes the staff will weigh the package and ask customers is there any valuables inside the box. The staff will offer a receipt and on the receipt will show where the package is being delivered.”

“They went above and beyond. I had an order being delivered from California and I noticed on the email receipt that the shipper sent it to the wrong address. I was told it would be returned to shipper and then I'd have to wait for the shipper to ship it back again to Illinois. I went to the post office and told them about my issue and they said they would do their best to halt it. I received a call the day of delivery and they said the driver was in route and was sent a message to deliver that shipper item number to my correct address and they postman came and asked is this yours. He told me he got a message that the address was incorrect on the package. Thank you soo much for handling this in such a quick and professional matter. Saved me another week of waiting.
