“It was around 6pm, and I noticed that my rear right tire's pressure is dropping drastically comparing to the rest of my tires. I stopped by here knowing most of the auto shops were closed already, but Shell still took my car in and inspected the rear right tire. They found there was a nail in my tire, and they repaired it in a very quick manner. I think the whole process took less than 10 minutes. Overall, I had a good experience, but the next day I found out that the proper way to repair tires is that you would have to remove the tire off the rim, and inspect the inner liner for possible additional damages. I know they did not remove my tire off the rim because I watched them fixed my tire hence the 4 star. (I mean if you are going to repair something, you have to repair the proper way, otherwise it will still pose potential danger)”

“I had an unusually excellent experience here just this morning.My car broke down right at the pump. It took quite a while for the tow truck to show up. The whole time the gentleman from India was gracious and helpful. He was kind and patient as I blocked their pump denying them business at the pump until the tow arrived. If only there were more like him.”

“George, who owns the station, is often there and very friendly. My girls often stop in to get ice creams or candy. It might not be the cheapest gas but I like supporting local businesses. There also seems to be a fair amount of foot traffic on the weekends from people coming off of Harm’s woods trails.”

“Feels like a hand wash spot, even though it's not. Spent a lot of time getting the car nice and clean, and sometimes had a few guys working on it. Comfortable waiting area, and an outside patio as well. I'll be back, and live nowhere in the area.”

“I can't recommend Six J's highly enough. I live in Chicago but always make the trek to Glenview for my car needs. Jim the owner and Max the mechanic always make sure I understand what they're doing to my car, and the prices are very reasonable. A couple times when I was living in the far suburbs, Jim quoted me a price for some work I needed to have done, but as I wasn't able to make it to Glenview on those occasions, I ended up going with local car shops and paid almost twice as much as Jim's quotes.”
