“Lovely lady that works here is great. Downside is, it's a single employee location. No, for real, a government facility with one person. If she's out sick, the place is closed without notice. She takes a late afternoon lunch, handwritten sign in Spanish (only???) so I'm not sure when she starts lunch and if her target return time is 3:30 or what. Would be nice if she posted a regularly closed lunch time so we don't waste our time coming here only to find the place closed. I still choose to go to this location over my local pit of misery post office (California Ave), it's worth the no 40 minute wait and service with a smile, when it's open...”

“It’s not perfect but the people here try much harder than other post offices. There is actually a sense of customer service, no temper, no attitude. I can’t blame them for the failings of an underfunded system. If you want a real taste of hell try going two miles east to the post office on Grace. The abuse will burn your face. You will go running back to Cicero.”
“Walked in there 10 mins before closing time the lady at the front desk still took me in and helped me step by step.
She worked after hours to make sure I got done what needed to be done. Very friendly and professional lady, very patient with me and explained the process to me, will definitely go back to this place if I need services! Thank you!”

“Cute small and old style mail office conveniently placed in a small downtown area , I went for a couple stamps for postcards, the attention was really good , lola took time to search for some specialty stamps (american revolution ones) i was interested in , overall great service and wasn't busy at all”

“Out of the seven post offices near my house that I visited, this location by far has the most polite employees.
It’s located just minutes off of I-290.
You can find a few free parking spots in front of the building otherwise. Also, there is a parking lot on the other side of the street that can fit more people.
This post office was pretty clean as well.
When I visited, there was only one other person in line.”

“By far, this is the most helpful, friendly, and well organized post office I have ever lived near. They routinely go out of their way to help you mail a package (even when you don't have the right tape or box), choose the correct shipping class and even will run out to the truck to retrieve your mother in law's Easter package because Yours Truly forgot to put her room # on the address. It is a jewel of a post office and I hope it stays open for a long long time.”

“I can’t praise the service of USPS enough. My sister sent me a package from abroad, but the local post office put my house number as the zip code, and the address on the mailing label was missing my house number. It’s express mail, but the tracking shows no location. I was so afraid that the package would be lost somewhere. I went on the USPS website and filed an inquiry. A customer service representative from the Westchester post office sent me an email and called me the next day. She explained to me how the shipping works and assured me that she would pay attention to the package when it arrived.
It’s been nine days since my sister sent it out. She was planning to purchase another one and send it to me again. On a whim, I rechecked the USPS tracking and found it had been sent to the Westchester post office this morning. Believe it or not, I got it this afternoon. Awesome service.”

Since then, I’ve been contacted by multiple team members who have been incredibly helpful and genuinely committed to finding a solution. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, professional, and extremely supportive. This level of service has always been my experience when visiting this Post Office. There is free visitor parking just north of the building. Walking time to post office maybe 4 mins. Overall I had a great experience.”
“Kenneth is the best. He acknowledges everyone and happy to help. I was going to prioritize mail and he suggested certified to send tax info because as long as it’s postmarked, no penalties. He didn’t have to tell me this option. He saved me some money because he’s kind. This office is always friendly and nice. The other reviews are unfair. This is a small post office, but gets the job done in a friendly way!”

“Always a pleasant experience coming to this location. Sometimes there is a wait. But the ladies at the desk will still acknowledge and let you know they will be with you shortly. And even apologize for the wait was you are being helped. People just need to have patience these days and many don’t. I’m always greeted with a warm smile, and great service. My favorite post office! Thank you ladies! Keep up the great work!”

“I come here a lot and I have to say the service is really great. About 80% of the time. Sometimes I think they are just having a bad day, but in general, this is a great place, the best post office in my experience so far.”
“This post office is my favorite, as long as you go through the week. If you go on saturday you will have opposite experience. The lady that works on the weekend does anything she can to do as little as possible. Through the week the employees are so nice and make sure to put the tracking, shipping labels and or postage on my packages themselves ensuring it is done right, weekend lady makes you figure it out and then gets rude when it isnt how she says its supposed to be and says cant be sent that way. I even watched her make a woman black out and rewrite the address because it was "upside down" as if they keep your packages neatly stacked and dont just throw them around. Im pretty sure on that rare occasion they need to turn or flip a box to read address ?? will never visit on a saturday again if i can avoid it.”

“The lovely elderly lady who did our passports was just so kind gentle lovely spoke some words of wisdom to us and said if I was teaching my girls to write cursive I said yes she mentioned how sad that schools are not showing that anymore to students and she said make sure to practice because next time that you're here you will get to sign your own passport. She mentioned I won't be here anymore to witness but for sure you both will be back and that made me sad her saying that but what's overall customer service was amazing”

And definitely not any issues that would not happen at any other post office I've been to. Yeah the workers might not have a fake customer service Smile on 24/7 but don't really expect it, they help with the transaction and then we're done”

“Today, February 26, 2026 at 4pm I went to the 7100 W.Gunnispn, Harwood Heights, Illinois post office. I had two packages. The employee, a VERY RUDE employee, asked me to step aside and place my packages on tge scale away from the counter. I asked if this was something new because I've never had to place my packages on the scale, she said RUDELY, DO YOU WANT ME TO SRND YOUR PACKAGES??? I said yes, but I never had to do this before. She asked again, DO YOU WANT ME TO SRND YOUR PACKAGES, I SAID YES, SO I PUT one of my packages on the scale, I asked for her name, she said wait, and went away for a few minutes, she came back and said SHE WOULDN'T TAKE MY PACKAGES AND TO LEAVE!!! I told her I would file a complaint, took a picture and left. I HAVE BEVER HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS POST OFFICE, THE EMPLOYRES ARE SUPER RUDE, today was the last straw, I filed a complaint. LRyan”
