She went beyond the call of duty to make a difference! I phone Freia and informed her that my husband accidentally broke one of our friend's earrings. Our friend stated that she had just purchased them for her birthday and that she didn't think that they would repair them. I told her to let us know how much it would cost to replace, and she declined, saying, "it was an accident, no worries." But I felt in my spirit that they might replace them. I couldn't rest, so I called R&H, and Freia answered, and I explained what happened, and she said to bring them in, and she would take a look at them to see what she could do. Our friend returned the earrings, and they ended up granting her a one-time courtesy replacement since she was a frequent customer. I was so happy to hear that, and I could hear the excitement in her voice as she told me what they did.As a result of that, I stopped by R&H and took Freia a bag of chocolate hearts & a card to let her know how much we appreciate what she did. I told her that people will often write to complaint but we seldom write about the good that people do, and I just wanted her to feel what we felt when we heard what she did for our friend birthday earrings.Freia was so surprised when I gave her the gift! “Let’s see, where do we begin? I suppose in the beginning, yeah? We arrived to the Orland Park, IL store which we were informed later is their flagship store, and later we saw why. To start, Matthew welcomed us with open arms. Right down to business, we informed him we were looking for wedding rings & he brought over his coworker Justin. Justin made us feel like he was planning the entire wedding, giving us pointers on the rings we were selecting & even showing the pros and cons of the bling we had grown attached to. Near the end of the purchase process, we were getting upset; for you see, Matthew & Justin were our new friends! They cared, they didn’t pressure us, they did not steer us in any way to make a purchase to pad their bottom line. We’ve had negative experiences before but this positive one blew us away. To be honest, we want to get married again just so we can ask for their assistance at least one more time.10/10, would chat again.”
